Recession hitting young men hardest: 1 in 5 now back at home
Article here. Excerpt:
'Michael Gaynor, 25, completed his bachelor’s degree and certification to teach elementary and high-school physical education in May 2009, then set out during a recession to find that dream job.
Over the next two years, the quest would take him from substitute teaching and respite care work in Iowa, back to his parents’ home in Skokie; to Florida, where he waited tables, then back to Skokie; to Colorado as a substitute teacher, coach and camp counselor, then, back to Skokie.
“My moves back home were always transitional. They allowed me to save up money, not having to pay rent and utilities,” says Gaynor, who got a new job and moved out from his parents again last week.
A U.S. Census Bureau analysis earlier this month found that nearly one of every five young men in their mid-20s through mid-30s are either moving back home with their parents — or never left.'

I live at home, it started
I live at home, it started out of a mutually beneficial arrangement where I'd financially help around the house, but I also pay much less in rent than I would elsewhere. Then I got myself into a little credit card trouble and couldn't afford to move out if I wanted to. At 28 I'm finally getting that debt taken care of, hopefully my only consumer debt will be a car loan in under 12 months, at which point, while working a 'day job' and freelancing as well for a good amount of additional income, I can begin saving up for a house, which I should be able to put a hell of a downpayment on in just 2-3 years.
Time To Stop Affirmative Action For Women
Women never were a minority. They unjustly jumped on the bandwagon called affirmative action. They never have been wronged like those who were slaves. It is incredibly disrespectful of blacks to say that women suffered anything like the way blacks in slavery suffered. It is disrespectful of the black community to suggest that women have hurdles to overcome anything like those that blacks have to clear.
Women claimed they were a minority... a long ago lie, and there have been so many other lies coming from the feminists since then. Where are the people calling for an end to affirmative action for all women? These numbers show that men should get even parity at the very least, if not special support themselves.
