It seems to us that heterosexual men would have restricted earning opportunities. We are surprised about the openness to prostitution and sex work, compared to the main stream media hysteria, especially in the United States."
Editorial Remark:
Of course the reason why heterosexual men would have restricted earning opportunities in this area is because heterosexual women would never patronize them (especially in the United States). This is because the sex for money exchange must go in the opposite direction.

Note this from the article
'Surprisingly, men and women work in equal percentage in the sex industry. Only 49% are heterosexual (vs. 85% of comparison group), 33% homosexual (vs. 5.3%), 37.8% bisexual (vs. 8.8% in comparison group).'
Nonetheless the focus of both media attention and sex workers' rights groups rests on the females.
Decriminalization is not allowed
Yes of course, the focus is always on females. Males don't matter, and in the eyes of many women, males are useful only to fulfill female desires. So is then no surprise that the general conversation in the media about sex work is all about how terrible life is for female prostitutes, what these women have to go through, how they are supposedly sex slaves imported from foreign countries, etc.
Women resist decriminalization of prostitution because that would create a whole lot of additional competition for the marriage game. If you look at it on a per-sex-act basis, men must pay much more in a divorce, or even in a traditional marriage, than they pay in an encounter with a female prostitute. So most women make female prostitutes bad and wrong, they shame them, etc. Basically they're saying "Hey, you're not playing by the traditional game, that we all know pays better money... stop undercutting us... quit with the competition."
