Under California law, Yeater may also be admitting to be a statutory rapist, having allegedly had intercourse with a minor. Yeater claims to be 19 and the time of the alleged incident, while Bieber was only 16.

“If someone over 18 has sex with someone under 18 it is called ‘unlawful sex with a minor’,” California Criminal Defense attorney David Wohl told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “I'm very surprised this woman would come forward claiming Bieber fathered her child. In most states this would be seen as an admission to statutory rape. Perhaps she feels it is worth the risk in order to cash in on some potentially huge child support dollars.”'
