Attorney: 'More than meets eye' in (Kieu) penis-slashing case
Article here.
'The attorney for a woman accused of cutting off her husband's penis said Friday that there is "more than meets the eye" to the case but declined to speak in further detail.
Catherine Kieu briefly appeared in court early Friday but did not enter a plea to charges that include torture. A judge set bail at $1 million and scheduled another hearing in late September for her to enter her plea.
Kieu, 48, spoke through a Vietnamese interpreter during the hearing. That was a change from a court hearing earlier this month, when she answered "Yes" in a strong voice to the judge's questions in English.
Her public defender, Frank Bittar, declined to speak about the case outside the courtroom. "There's a lot there, to the case, more than meets the eye," he said. A young man and woman who met with him after the hearing also declined to comment and would not say whether they were Kieu's friends or family.'

"He had it coming"
Just like from the musical "Chicago". Hang onto your hats and stay tuned for more, which is undoubtedly coming. The rationalizations will be amazing I am sure.
Abuse
Any bets it's allegations that she was abused or raped?
Indeed. Every woman out
Indeed. Every woman out there who's as much a sociopath as this one, will play the rape card first to try to get away from taking responsibility. Lorena did it, Rebecca Dawson did it, and now Kieu is going to follow in their footsteps.
Honestly, though, I think her defense is going to be squashed, and she will receive life in prison. For once, I'm actually seeing a lot of men and women on the net who are just disgusted by what occurred and want to see justice served. I'm praying to God that they'll make an example out of her.

I'm willing to...
...go out on a limb here and ask what if this woman WAS a victim of abuse? Let's assume for one moment that she was. Does that mean anybody who has been wronged in some way now has the right to seek out personal retribution? Because that is what these apologists seem to be saying. If that is the case then we might as well abolish all civil and perhaps criminal courts, as well as the police. With state sanctioned justice gone we could go back to an almost Dark Age system in which justice was essentially a private matter and blood fueds could go on for generations.
Perhaps then we would see if feminists preferred the old-fashioned "patriarchal" justice system they spent so much time criticising.
But IF she was the one abused....
Why was it HIM who filed for divorce? If he was the abusive or unfaithful man she will undoubtedly make him out to be, why then was he the one who wanted to get away from her? Sure maybe he was unfaithful in that she had not signed the papers yet and he may have been sticking his dick in a hole that actually enjoyed having it, but clearly in his mind the relationship between the two of them was over and he was looking to move on with his life. If he was the abuser he would not have been the one trying to get away.
That, and drugging, confining, torturing and permanently disfiguring him by her would lead one to logically believe that the likelihood of HER being the abusive partner in the relationship is far higher.
But then again, women have gotten off on murder charges by claiming abuse when the only evidence of abuse they can come up with is he made her wear stilettos and a wig when they fucked, so since all she did was ruin every day for the rest of his life she should have no trouble convincing a jury that he did in fact "have it coming". All it will take is just one woman on the jury that knows who Sharron Osbourne is and watches any of the trash shows she's on and she'll walk.
Good Point, Paragon
Immediately after finding out about this incident, and the fact that he had filed for divorce. I thought to myself, "I can see why! What a psycho bitch!"

DV defense won't work
She drugged his food, tied him up, then genitally mutilated him. The prosecution will ask why she just didn't go to the police. If she was able to premeditate such a gruesome attack, she must have had the wherewithal to contact law enforcement about any alleged abuse prior to drugging him. She's being charged with torture -- which is virtually impossible to justify as self defense or as a result of battered wife syndrome. She's facing life in prison and bail was set for 1 million. Its obvious the prosecution is taking this very seriously.
