MGM-fest in Africa Begins

Seems they couldn't wait to get chopping... story here. Excerpt:

'Growing numbers of Ugandan men are being circumcised, after medical research showed it could halve the HIV infection rate among heterosexual men.

A Ugandan paper reports that last year of 2,500 people circumcised at various clinics, half of them were male adults, compared to less than 400 in 2005.'

Suppose if some UN study concluded that FGM reduced the spread of HIV, there'd be extra clinic hours open for that, too? Would there ever be such a study? Answers: No and no.

I always thought having unprotected sex was the main culprit in contracting HIV.

So, now some lame UN report says that simply mutilating the penis can "cut" the contraction rate of HIV among heterosexual men by an astounding 50%? Is this bad medicine or what?

This all stems from the latest bogus "research" -- carefully designed to reach the predetermined conclusion that circumcision is good for you. It's always been "a solution in search of a problem", whose real intent is kept hidden (even from most of the misguided who promote it).

See this MANN thread from last year for a discussion, with some links debunking the "scientific research" behind the latest push to circumcise all African men. (Scroll down to my comment for the links). FYI: The thread was started by a one-time MANN participant named "Dittohd", whose views were generally well-reasoned, except on this one subject, where he was a blind fanatic -- presumably because, as a Jew, he was circumcised at birth and (apparently, from what he wrote here and elsewhere at MANN) severely in denial on the subject.

Rather than go through the tedium of repeating myself on a subject of which I'm thoroughly sick, here's a Google search of the MANN archive, if you're interested in learning more.

The first thing society does to you when they want to make you a slave is they castrate you. At the very least, they chop off some of the sensitive body parts that make sex enjoyable (i.e. clitoris, foreskin, etc. etc.)

Why?

Sex is a powerful thing, and we don't want slaves running around with a decent sense of themselves now, do we? We certainly don't want educated slaves, or slaves who can think critically about their position in society, or worse yet, slaves who can actually engage in activism when they perceive injustice. It interferes with the extraction of value from the slave by society, and is therefore discouraged. Pretty simple stuff.

There's a reason that the lunatics advocating the sexual mutilation of men based on badly flawed and outright misleading studies are the same lunatics screaming about the sexual mutilation of women.

It's not misandry.

It's not sexism.

It's slavery.

Slaves don't have the same legal rights or standing in the eyes of the law. Someone who kills, rapes or maims a slave receives a much lighter sentence that those who kill, rape or maim a citizen, especially a slave who harms a citizen. Such slaves are usually put to death, which isn't notable in and of itself, because slaves account for most executions, too. Slaves are disposable, and do essentially all the dying in workplaces and warfare. Slaves receive less education and medical care, if any. Slaves are allowed to die off sooner. Slaves have no standing in front of the courts or the legislatures. Slaves are imprisoned for infractions that citizens can commit without fear. Slaves can't vote in any way that might improve their position or rights.

Any of this sounding familiar yet?

Look, I'm not wearing a tin-foil hat, I'm simply pointing out some sociology and history. When we look at the treatment of slaves in past societies, we see the very same trends and features that define how men are viewed and treated in feminized societies today. Men are born and bred to be slaves. Characteristics that make us more "valuable" to society's "citizens" are now the "desirable" characteristics of males, according to society (e.g. the ability to carry out demanding physical/athletic tasks, or to "provide"). Many of us are sexually mutilated at birth in a society which forbids the sexual mutilation of female infants (they're future citizens, after all). We have much less standing under the law as it is applied. We have less access to education and healthcare. We're disposable, in the workplace, the family, warfare, everywhere. We can be sent to men-only debtors prisons or branded "sex offenders" for the things women do every day without fear of consequences. We're not "allowed" to talk about ourselves or our needs. We can vote, but all the candidates are sure to support the "citizens", not us slaves. We're expected to just shut up, take it, and do the working and the dying, and the penalties are quite severe when we resist.

Simply put, we're slaves. That's what castration and male genital mutilation are all about.
