Reverse discrimination killed choice for UD men
Article here. Excerpt:
'I am the parent of a son who by his own admission was probably the least talented runner on the team, but thrived with the experience of four years of University of Delaware cross country, while also thriving as a student.
I am angry, frustrated and sad that the government-mandated reverse discrimination of Title IX has eliminated the program that did so much to form what he is today. I suppose the injustice of discrimination because of race, gender, etc., always produces this kind of indignation, but my, how painful it feels.
Shame on UD and our elected representatives in Washington who are responsible for this reverse-discrimination quota of 42 percent male athletes inflicted on the men of UD who, through no fault of their own, were born male in 21st century America.'
