Swedish feminist party burns money in protest of 'wage gap'

'A Swedish feminist party has publicly burned 100,000 Swedish kronor ($13,000; £8,500) in a protest against unequal pay.

The Feminist Initiative party said the money represented the sum Sweden's women miss out on every minute in comparison to men.

The party hopes to win its first seat in parliament in elections on 19 September.'

What a waste of money... if I was a contributor to the party, I would be angry that they were wasting my money.

But then again, this whole initiative is a waste of time. Sweden has some of the most repressive anti-male laws and regulations of any country in the world. In spite of that, men still earn more money. Men earn more because they put in more hours, travel more for their job, take riskier jobs, etc. See Warren Farrell's book entitled Why Men Earn More for all the details. So the issue is not gender discrimination, it is social expectations that men should shoulder a disproportionate amount of the burden to support a family. Women are crazy here, on one hand they say they want to receive as much money as men, but then they pressure men to support the family, and they are angry when their man doesn't bring home the big bucks. Women say it's unfair when men deliver on their social obligations, when they do make the big money -- women claim that there's some conspiracy underway, when it's simply a matter of putting in the effort, taking the risk, etc.

lying feminist agitprop always refers to MR and FR groups as being "highly organized" and "well funded." I can't even imagine a pinch-faced radfem keeping a straight face while typing that.
