THE GYM "GRUNTER" STRIKES BACK
Grunter Retains Counsel; Intends to Wage Legal Battle

After being unceremoniously expelled from his Planet Fitness Gym for "grunting", New York orrectional Officer Al Argibay is fighting back. He has retained prominent New York civil rights attorney Jason Stern to represent him.

"This is the most absurd thing that I have ever seen," says Stern, who happens to be a former competitive bodybuilder. "Grunting is an involuntary breathing reaction to lifting heavy eights -- much like gasping for breath when running on the treadmill at a high rate of speed. To throw someone out of the gym or "breathing loudly" is ridiculous. If they don't want people "grunting", why does Planet Fitness have heavy weights? My client was squatting 500lbs. Show me someone who can squat 500 lbs without grunting and I'll show you a woman who can give birth to a baby in silence. It's pretty much impossible."

Planet Fitness's website claims that Planet Fitness is a "judgment free zone" with an "energetic environment" "where everyone feels respected and accepted." But that couldn't be further from the truth, Stern says. "The bottom line is that Planet Fitness is offering a cheap product intended to lure people who aren't serious about working out -- the New Year's Resolution type who will go 8-10 times a year, and the people who spend more time reading their self-help books in the gym than they do actually working out. They don't want bodybuilders or weightlifters or anyone else who is serious about building muscle."

Stern even has a name for what happened to his client: BIG-ISM. "They are discriminating against people with muscles. Their motto should be 'If your ideal physique is the guy who gets sand kicked in his face, then Planet Fitness is the gym for you.'"

While Mr. Argibay has stated that he has no desire to ever return to Planet Fitness, his attorney has stated that they are considering legal action against the gym.

Just how do you not GRUNT when doing strenuous exercises like lifting weights?
And I mean real weights not the 2 pound hand weights women use.

What is this bullshit about not wearing bandanas? It sounds like management considers strong men a threat of some sort. Maybe the manager is a weakling (not just physically).

I hope this guy gets a boat load of cash. He can then open his own gym called "GRUNT!"

The whole idea of having a gym that bans natural sounds that accompany the act of heavy lifting is ludicrous. If this was a private gym, then, it would be more palatable; however, it's a chain. In the interview, it was mentioned they are in the process of negotiating the purchase of another chain of gyms. One day there may be no place for men to lift and grunt!

This is just another feminist attempt at wiping out all that is male! See no male, speak no male, and hear no male!

Men, we have ourselves to blame for this type of stupidity. We made at least three mistakes: we gave them (fem-nags) the vote, driver's licenses, and cell-phones. Now they are armed to spread their “all about me” drama far-and-wide!

Fear not though, we will soon run out of petroleum (and the luxurious lifestyle it affords so many bimbos) and life will get a little tougher; grunting will come back in style.

No grunting while lifting weights! The feminine equivalent of this would be “No Cackling” at a Tupperware party!

Those grunts...or whatever you call those utterances when virtually any and every woman hits the ball....are hideous to listen to throughout a match! And they do it on every single ball!

Now...why do they have to do that while men don't?

They were probably destined to get these things anyway. But it is true, we men have ourselves to blame for not speaking up more forcefully, over the last 30 years or so.
