Hiding the Truth About the Pay Gap Between Men and Women

Article here. Excerpt:

'The Labor Department’s conclusion was that the gender pay gap was the result of a multitude of factors and that the “raw wage gap should not be used as the basis for [legislative] correction. Indeed, there may be nothing to correct. The differences in raw wages may be almost entirely the result of individual choices being made by both male and female workers.”

The Labor Department’s new report is clearly an important contribution to the debate over pay equity. But where is it? Although it was posted on the Labor Department’s web site just days after it was finalized, it was apparently removed as the transition in power was occurring between former President Bush and President Obama. We don’t know why the report was taken down, but certainly the timing is suspicious.'

I'm getting disappointed in the integrity of the media and government with this wage gap, most people simply repeat information and don't think.

Yeah for continued behind the scenes feminist war against men propaganda. Do people seriously not even try to apply the wage gap to their personnel experiences? I have never as a, military veteren, firefighter, waiter, lab tech been in a job where discrimination laws did not apply and make it all but impossible to pay differently based on gender. If the gap is in business on the high end, this in part due to CHOICES of the mommy track as employers attempt to promote women, which are often rejected. What, half of businesses are owned by women, so spread the blame if one refuses to use logic. Besides, if the "gap" does exist then it must be about twice this figure since it doesn't exist in the average job.

BTW, this is capitalism = profit, who is profitting from a wage gap? not the business owners, but N.O.W. and other feminist organizations are, Interesting? or just continue the blame game?

we are going to have to bite the bullet for the next
four years on any news that tries to shine the light of truth
on this bed of vipers.

it's only been a couple of weeks and his list of deceptions
is already legendary. i wish he could do good stuff at the rate he
appears willing to deceive.

we really have a problem with my dad and this hero worship stuff.
he claims he is a devout republican,

however, i heard him in the bathroom last night chanting

b a r a c k...b a r a c k...b a r a c k.

i'm really worried.

The Ledbetter bill was the warm up, a testing of the waters. The real reaming will come if/when the Pay Equity Act is passed in the Senate. Ledbetter is to Pay Equity what the sexual harassment bill was to VAWA. Like VAWA, the PEA is the ideological and money-generating monster——the serfdom of male America.

Call it the law of feminist intended consequences.

How can they get away with it, you ask? How, for instance, can you conceivably pay a librarian the same as her ditch digger husband? Who would dig ditches if it didn't pay more than a job in air-conditioned comfort, doing little work? Well, let's see. First, you depress the wages of the digger due to the masses of unemployed and the influx of cheap immigrant labor. Next——and this is insidious——you raise the education requirements for simple clerical work, like being a librarian. Maybe you require a year or two of college. Given the educational crisis of males in this country, all one has to do make schools even more male-unfriendly. This makes certain that you always have sufficient grunt workers AND keeps the males from the air-conditioned office jobs...that pay the same.

Voila! Equal pay for unequal effort.

That's a good explanation of their plan, you're right. Things aren't looking good for men and boys, it's going to take a revolution on the part of men to stop this. At the moment it doesn't look like there is going to be one.

Women play 3 sets for "X" dollars.
Men play 5 sets for the same "X" dollars.

Very simple. Equal pay for equal work.
Except the men are working nearly twice as hard.

But this is equality in feminist USA. This is how it should be.
