Prosecutor Has Never Interviewed Duke Lacrosse Rape Accuser

So here we have a prosecutor who has never even asked the accuser of the facts or events of the evening.

"I've had conversations with (the accuser) about how she's doing. I've had conversations with (the accuser) about her seeing her kids," Mike Nifong said. "I haven't talked with her about the facts of that night. ... We're not at that stage yet."

Oh, and at the end of the article: Evans, 23, of Bethesda, Md., was charged in May with rape, kidnapping and sexual offense. A month earlier, a grand jury indicted players Reade Seligmann, 20, of Essex Fells, N.J., and Collin Finnerty, 20, of Garden City, N.Y., on the same charges. The accuser, a student at nearby North Carolina Central University, told police she was raped in a bathroom by three men at the off-campus party.

FUNNY, I DON'T SEE HER NAME MENTIONED ANYWHERE. WHAT WAS THAT OLD SAYING: INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY...

As much as this one case is held up by so many MRAs as the shining beacon of proof that not all rape charges are true and the justice system does not treat men fairly, how many of you would welcome an accused rapist who claimed they were innocent or simply refused to say anything at all about the charges against them? How many of you would buy them a beer after reading about them in your local paper if you saw them in the bar? How many of you would offer words of support?

How many of you would pretend to be supportive of them when they claimed innocence while at the same time telling you kids to stay away like they have a terrible disease?

MRAs talk the big game but when it comes down to it they throw most accused sex offenders who claim innocence out the door like everyone else. MRA organizations pay lip service to sex offenders but at the same time like to keep them at the very furthest reaches so as not to open themselves up to accusations by feminist organizations and general people who don't know any better.

Innocent boys will continue to be locked up until we set the example that innocent until proven guilty in a court of law is more then just pretty words

What does Nifong mean, "We are not at that stage yet"?? Is he waiting for her to "recover"?? The first question a lawyer should ask is "what happened?". This is absolutely outrageous! It is already one of the most grievous miscarriages of justice I have ever seen, and the trial hasn't even started yet! Maybe Nifong is waiting for the trial to find out what happened... this guy is so irresponsible, he should be disbarred and fired from his job immediately - and not be allowed to work for any government entity, ever again.

1) I don't give a rat's ass about whether the alleged rapist can be my friend or not - it is not the point.
2) What do you mean, 'refused to say anything'? You must be talking about the press..and I wouldn't say anything to that bunch of douche-bags either. The boys' lawyers were very wise to take this course of action, of telling the boys to remain silent..instead of having them fuel even more wild speculation by the ravenous public.

"Innocent boys will continue to be locked up until we set the example that innocent until proven guilty in a court of law is more then just pretty words"

3) The chances that mere MRA's are going to revolutionize the fucked-up justice system in this country is a joke. That is not the job of an MRA.

"shining beacon of proof that not all charges of rape are true"

4)ONE IN FOUR accusations of rape are false, according to a recent analysis of Department of Justice statistics (www.wendymcelroy.com)
