Britain Considering 'Name and Shame' Plan For Men Who Visit Prostitutes

'LONDON — The British government wants to make it illegal to pay for sex and is considering a plan to "name and shame" men who visit prostitutes — a move critics say would turn back the clock to Victorian times.

The proposal would make paying for sex illegal and carry additional penalties for men who have sex with women forced into prostitution, the Home Office said. But it declined to give details on fines and other penalties before the formal announcement.

Men who frequent prostitutes could also be identified publicly, as they are in the London borough of Lambeth, where police send warning letters to the homes of drivers whose license plate numbers are caught on closed-circuit television picking up street walkers.

In addition, the plan would make it a criminal offense to pay for sex with a prostitute "controlled for another person's gain" and could bring rape charges against men who knowingly paid for sex with a woman forced to work as a prostitute.'

if they will apply this list to all the men who are suckered into paying for their date and ensues with a one night hook-up. Like much of dating nowadays. I have to wonder, dating seems like a form of legalized prostitution, for that I suspect men are just John's too. And if you date someone who is in the country illegally, what does that make you?

This is just another example of what freedom means in the UK. It is a total illusion that there is any personal freedom here, and that is the only freedom that matters.

To any old soldiers reading this then the best I can say to you is that you where duped if you thought you where fighting for freedom. Then as now all you where doing is fighting to protect the ruling elite - nothing else.

lets be equal here. 1/2 of the problem lies with the woman in a married relationship.
if we are going to name a married man for visiting a prostitute, lets name the woman that drives the man to the prostitute.

There is nothing wrong with visiting prostitutes. These women are the best of their kind, far better than wives, they give you some thing and only take money for it. Prostitution should be the norm and the everyday.
