I will be very interested to read this book to see what counseling format is set up for women batterers.

Presently within the Duluth framework, male counselors leading a woman's group are prohibited. Quite the opposite of the counseling for male batterers which mandate a male-female counseling team. This is to prevent "male collusion."

Unless the new model for women can modify or eliminate some Duluth "laws," they will not be able to talk about relationship dynamics, substance abuse, mental health, or other contributing and well-documented factors affecting DV.

Because as we all know there is only ONE explanation for DV -- the Evil Patriarchy.

Are you saying that FemiNazi trained DSS sanctioned WOMEN must lead male batterer treatment, to prevent 'male collusion'...
And we're to believe men will be approved to lead female batterer treatment???
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
OMFG that's hilarious!!!
After how many decades of study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after study after studyafter study after study after study after study after study after study after (is that 241 yet?)... they FINALLY admit "okay, so yeah maybe the 'kinder gentler' (ie women) gender can be... ummmmmmmm... well... uhhhhhhhhhhhhh... yanno... not always so... ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... completely... errrrrrrrr innocent.
But their 'treatment' MUST be lead by a woman".
What about women 'colluding'?
Women won't 'collude' (have you never been privy to a afternoon tea)?
Sheeeeeeeeesh will the hypocrisy NEVER end?
Seriously though, I think a 'pre-order' of 3,400 is in order: one for EACH and EVERY county Family Advocacy Office (or county agency charged with fulfilling the task of FA, ie guiding women through the process of obtaining restraining orders and protective orders, issuing gov't funded material assistance, sundry assistance, referrals to mental health counseling and of course providing 'Emergency Shelter' to battered women and children... and their dogs) in the 50 US States and 112 US Territories.

Something tells me that they are going to get soft real quick. No more of this only allowing full admissions of wrongdoing to be the topic for group discussions. The male groups were and likely still are run with the idea that any discussion of the man's prior abuse, prior problems, even his depression was off limits because it was seen as a way for the man to br "irresponsible" and to avoid taking ownership of his violence. Of course they NEVER put women into the male groups....nor would they put the men into the female victims groups. These folks are truly evil and openly bigoted. It will be interesting how they break out the kid gloves for the ladies and start conjuring up repeated excuses. Oh my. I have been suggesting co-ed treatment groups to DV folks for some time. You should hear them screech! It would sabatage their misandry and their blame of men. Nope. Can't do that!
