Duke false accuser threatened with lawsuit over book

'DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — The woman who prosecutors determined falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of rape maintains in a new memoir that she was attacked, a claim that provoked an angry lawsuit threat from one player's family.

Crystal Mangum, who appeared publicly Thursday for the first time since making the allegations more than two years ago, says in her book being made available online Friday that she is not "looking forward to opening old wounds" but that she had to defend herself.'

I do hope the victims sue the snot out of that predator and get every damned dime she's got!

A rape actually occurred in this incident.

But Crystal Gail Mangum was the rapist and she is still doing it with her piece of crap book.

A false allegation of rape IS RAPE!

Isn't a publisher also liable under lible laws if they contribute to libling innocent people. Under lible law, the "truth" is the best defense against a claim of lible so where, or how, is this book in anyway defensible (to write, or publish), given the established facts of this case?

Given the pain and suffering, and heavy legal expenses, the falsely accused Duke lacrosse players have already endured, wouldn't it be fair for every penny (from sales of her book) to go to reimbursing those poor Duke lacrosse players who were victimized by her false accusations of rape? She should not be allowed to profit from the less than honest behavior that led to the miscarriage of justice that the Duke lacrosse players endured, IMO.

Sue the hell out of her. Seize the book as an asset. Hound her to the ends of the earth for the rest of her life.
