She didn't have "sexual relations" with the boy. She commited statutory rape and the article should have reminded that to the readers. Why must the media sugar-coat anything that a female does wrong?
If this had been a 30 year old male who had sex with an 11 year old female he would be on the front of every national news paprer and CNN and court TV would be covering it as breaking news every time he took a piss in the prison toilet.
A man who has sex with a pre-teen girl is demonized to an extent unheard of for any other crime.
This woman barely got a mention. A few paragraphs and extremely sparse on details.
Why does anyone wonder why so many men end up in trouble with the law anymore? We obviously do not consider males of any value even as small children.
Hell, with AWA now, when this boy does not get the help he needs because everyone is to busy minimizing what happened to him and saying the woman who raped him is the real victim, and he ends up doing something, he'll end up labeled as a sex offender and punished for life as a registered sex offender! AWA makes it possible to have some one added to the new national sex offender registry no matter their age!
Heck, even before the evil that is AWA came to be, after 4 decades or so of being hammered with feminist theory that male rape victims inevitably become rapists themselves this boy has probably already been red flagged by school officials and doctors and such as a potential threat to girls.
This poor poor boy. He has an unimaginably tough road ahead and there will be very few people out there who will offer any help at all to him and far to many who will simply treat him as though he is damaged goods to be avoided at all cost.

Sugar-coating is an understatement
