Iraq Vets Left Stranded

Check this out. Used, discarded. They are after all, only men.
The article mentions a female vet who returned and said she had her bank account cleaned out by her boyfriend and is left with nothing, living in a shelter. That is bad indeed. However the article fails to mention the many men who come back to find the law after them for child support, etc. they couldn't pay when they were in service. Welcome home, brave warriors.

An Old Problem Not Addressed
My understanding is that the outrage of Iraq War veterans returning home and being jailed for back child support hasn't been even addressed by the government after years of it going on. Of course the reason for this lack of concern in my opinion is that the vast majority are men. So it is a non priority item. And after all it is in the "best interests of the children."
However, VAWA was renewed and fully funded recently with no opposition at all!
Yup, war sure is great!
The best way ever to dispose of poor useless men (Sarcasm)!
I love how the female veteran in the story blames her ex-boyfriend for everything while the man blames no one and is simply dissapointed that he came home to nothing and has to live in his jeep.
The man is homeless because he didn't work hard enough when he got home and the woman is homeless because some evil man ripped her off!
Men really need to stop turning the other cheek and sucking it up.
Over 12,000 Disabled Vets Will Face What?
The 2,550 dead stat gets a lot of airplay nowadays, but ponder the over 12,000 seriously wounded and disabled who may be fathers who need to support their families, or unmarried men now feeling they'll never have a normal life as a husband and dad.
What does it mean to slap a magnetic bumber sticker on your car that proudly proclaims -- "Support Our Troops!" -
when there is no effort at all to acknowledge the domestic collateral damage that this war has caused among American families?
How many multiple amputees will your company hire next year?
Shelter vs. Jeep
I love how the woman is in a homeless women's shelter with a strong support group all supported by the taxpayer while the man lives in a Jeep.
Just gotta love how the patriarchy takes care of its soldiers.
