Jennifer Lopez's anti-male video

I just saw this on Glenn Sack's blog. J-Lo is on the rampage in this video; She pushes men down the stairs, shoves them, kicks them, etc.

You can check out Jennifer Lopez's anti-male video here.

I don't think we have to worry about her for much longer though as her sales are pretty poor and she's about to be dropped from her label.

Ed. note: Lots of good stuff in the current issue of Sacks' newsletter. Whole thing is here.

I think such videos are not bad for males. Ultimately, such videos eradicate the last remnants of chivalry in the men's minds and make it completely justified, say, to kick a woman in the face if this is needed for the sake of self-defense.

I completely agree that J. Low is sending out a message men need to listen to closely.

It is very clear in the video that men are objectified both as meat to be assaulted and as meat exploited as eye candy.

This video represents all the cultural grievances of feminism only with the gender roles reversed.

It is clever in a diabolical way.

It is too bad the artist can't sing, can't dance, and can't write decent song lyrics.

But then, she is just a commodity and her expiration date has arrived.

She's not so old yet. Unfortunately it seems you are just projecting. But that's not so bad, because as it has been said, her clips make a lot of use for MRA movement.

I was astonished at what I saw. Here's the comment I posted on YouTube:

I don't understand the premise of the video. J.Lo walks into a strip club with female dancers, and proceeds to push, kick, and hit several men. Is she confessing she's a lesbian? Regardless, I think this video is quite misandric. No video in which a man goes around hitting several women for no reason would be socially acceptable, and neither should this. (End of comment)

God, there's only one song and video that's worse. Glenn Sacks mentions it in his article (Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats). I actually wrote parody lyrics to that song because I hate it that much. It just goes to show what a joke country music has become when a song like that is praised and exalted. But then again, most of the women that listen to country music are braindead misandric morons. Can you tell I don't like country?

Have you noticed that every single country song by a male singer is about his problems with women?

Now, if this was blues music, I could get it, because the women always lose.

But why do red state male rednecks fall for this crap?

WTF?

Am I the only one to notice that she's an equal opportunity insulter, showing women in cages and glass enclosures drinking out of hamster bottles, as if they're no better than animals?

We want EQUAL rights, right? So let's start noticing when women are insulted in the same video as men.

Like0 Dislike0

You are missing something. The tons of grovelling, shirtless men throwing money at the females while being shunned, forced into the background; by dancing empowered women that are heaping physical abuse upon the males. You're also missing that there is a social stigma against saying, or doing, anything against women while there is no such stigma when it comes to insulting/abusing men.

Showing a woman in a cage -- along with groveling, emasculated men crawling up to women -- doesn't promote violence against women. Pushing a man down the stairs, kicking him in the groin, etc, etc DOES promote violence against men.

The point is violence against men is accepted and promoted daily while violence against women is fought against daily even though women were shown to be more violent than men in several studies.

If you claim to promote EQUAL rights, maybe men should have a "Violence Against MEN Act" the way women have a "Violence against WOMEN act." Even better maybe men should get automatic custody of their children, get light sentencing when committing a crime(if they get sentenced at all), have 75 cents of every dollar donated to their healthcare "needs", have "men's programs" scattered all throughout the government, get excused from drafts, be allowed to live off of another gender without being socially stigmatized as "being a bum", be allowed to still live in his home if the other partner decides to get a divorce and take the house, not get arrested(or viewed with extreme suspicion and hatred) when a woman claims she "felt" threatened, be able to start their activist career in the WKKK then later claim they are about equality, etc, etc

Until then don't come around here with that EQUAL bullshit, it's a punchline women(and manginas) use to evade wrongdoings and thus skirt being held responsible for their actions. Take "equal" and shove it up your ass; women aren't concerned about equality(nor are the men that serve them), just about what they can get out of the deal.

J-Lo's entire schtick is insulting to both genders because it commodifies everyone in her silly sexual R-rated fantasy videos.

You would think that a 40 year-old woman would have something better to do with her talents and wisdom.

I do agree that there is a difference between showing a woman in a cage and portraying multiple physical assaults against men in the video.

What I find interesting is that the "music" and the "artist" are merely props of trivial importance in a cleverly edited production with a shelf life briefer than the rest of J-Lo's career.

Billy Holiday drunk, stoned, and crooning on a bar stool was way more sexy than J-Low.

Actually, I've been a member of this site since 2005. Don't post much, because it doesn't get noticed.

However, what I do see on this site is a shocking similarity to the feminist movement. Is abuse against men okay? Hell no! Against women? Hell no! But if we want to reverse the feminazi damage to society, we have to make sure we don't try to turn this back into a patriarchy. EQUAL rights means just that- EQUAL. If a man is hit by a woman, she should expect to be hit back. That's EQUALITY. But what I saw in that video were men AND women being objectified and abused, but no comment was made about the women being objectified. Is that what this site wants? Men only, and to hell with women?

I want a Susan G Komen walk for men with prostate cancer. I edited Wikipedia multiple times regarding that walk stating from one of the reference links that breast cancer is only the FIFTH biggest cancer killer in the world, only to have it removed every time. I've written letters to Fox News and CNN for their saying a female rapist has "had sex" with a boy. I've told many of my co-workers about the misandric society we live in, and gotten into shouting matches with my father and brother for saying "what a woman wants, a woman gets."

Feminist? No. Masculinist? No. Humanist? Yes. I want to see EQUAL rights. And I get tired of reading articles on this site about "Boys made to pee standing up!" and then a huge uproar over it. I made a comment on that article when it was posted, but it was ignored. Most of the regulars here are too busy saying how evil women are to be able to accept any difference of opinion. If I don't shout "WOMEN BAD!", I'm a "Feminist Troll."

Sounds a lot like Gloria Steinem line. Be careful you don't turn into them, or else your credibility is gone.

BTW, read my blog on my local Fox affiliate:

BTW, I noticed something I forgot to mention: Yes. We DO need a Violence Against PEOPLE Act. We need domestic violence shelters to allow men to receive the help they need to take their children and themselves away from an abusive woman. Courts need to stop throwing men into jail because they can't afford to live in a roach infested closet and eat ramen noodles every day and pay the outrageous "child" (more like "spousal" support payments. And I tell anybody who will listen we need a "Roe V Wade" for men.

Thank you. And a good day to all.

Well said. I agree with most everything you wrote. Unfortunately there are some here who might want to push you away from this site.

Don't feel bad. I've been called a troll, MRA traitor, a feminist, and even a woman pretending to be a man.

Stick around. You'll offer a refreshing perspective that challenges the woman hating ideology.

I've been with site for 2 years and over time have adopted a more equitable approach to gender issues.

FYI: The majority of the guys here are fine. But there's one guy who's name I forgot that gives this site a bad name.

You're seeing things that do not exist. That's typical within the feminist movement; they see the patriarchy, women getting laid out on droves during the superbowl, etc. Are you a feminist? Possibly.

You sure use the same debating tactics. Let me align you with reality:

1. At no time has anyone given the green light on physically assaulting innocent women within this thread. With that let me state that I am NOT chivalrous and believe that women whom are big enough to hit someone should expect to get hit back. Men should not be crippled and stigmatized by the "women can hit men, but men don't hit women" diatribe. Society has effectively given the green light on physical violence against men while rallying against even the thought of physical violence against women. This video represents that inequality.

2. As I stated before women in a "hamster cage" is "equal" to men being forced into the background, grovelling to women on their knees while throwing wads of cash at said "empowered women." The women are objectified, the men are objectified. Now let's move onto the "unequal" portion which you seem to want to dismiss. Where are the women at whome are being physically abused? Go watch the clip and get back to me on that one with some feminist spin on how they are "emotionally abused" which is somehow equivalent to being pushed down a flight of stairs or kicked in the groin.

Spike: "I want a Susan G Komen walk for men with prostate cancer. This is all well and dandy. I'm thankful your helping, if what you claim is what you're actually doing. However, it does not discount the relevance of this article and fails to prove that women are equally "abused" in this video.

Spike: "Feminist? No. Masculinist? No. Humanist? Yes. I want to see EQUAL rights. Boys already pee standing up, I believe you meant sitting down. That article was posted sometime ago and I do believe it was concerning "unequal"(Your favorite word) treatment of boys in comparison to girls. There was also an article about placing something on the toilet which audibly humiliated men that stand up to urinate(which is of course a natural biological function).

Either way, I find it amusing how within this thread you trivialize men's concerns yet champion women's. Women have been revealing men's wrongdoings for sometime(many of these wrongdoings were fictional), and its obvious you believe them. However when men begin to reveal women's very real wrongdoings men are suddenly "woman haters." That's an archaic thought pattern and chivalry at its best.

Also, If you're tired of reading the articles, simply don't read them. That's what I, the next poster, or anyone else does when we grow "tired" of something.

If I'm "tired" of reading the New York Times articles I don't go log-on to their website and hang out there.

Spike: "Sounds a lot like Gloria Steinem line. Be careful you don't turn into them, or else your credibility is gone."

Argumentum Ad Misericordiam.

A flawed conclusion based on your own drivel. There are a few posters here that do the same thing, they rant on and on about the "woman haters" and what "woman hating men" want to do to women. Then they reach this conclusion via relying on their own rants. It's pathetic to say the least.

Be advised: Fighting for equal rights for men is not inherently anti-female.

Spike: "BTW, read my blog on my local Fox affiliate:

http://community.myfoxdfw.com/blogs/SpikeRants"

No. Currently I don't have the time. Plus I am not that interested in Spike's rants at this point in time. That doesn't mean I will not browse through them at a later date however.

Spike: "BTW, I noticed something I forgot to mention: Yes. We DO need a Violence Against PEOPLE Act. You rage on about women in a hamster cage as if the world is coming to an end. Then you finally "mention" how the abuse scenario is skewed, how children are left with abusive women due to misandry, how the courts throw men in jail and how there is no "Roe v Wade" for men(even though there is for women) in a "by the way" manner.

You've just proven my point about you quite nicely. For that I thank you.

Thanks for your mainly civilized reply.

Now, allow me to respond:

Know this: One can be a member of a website since it was formulated and still be a troll.

Okay.

You're seeing things that do not exist. That's typical within the feminist movement; they see the patriarchy, women getting laid out on droves during the superbowl, etc. Are you a feminist? Possibly.

The women are objectified, the men are objectified.

In high school, I was sent to the principal's office for starting a (verbal) fight with two girls in my sophomore English class. They asked me if I would ever hit a woman, and I said, "If she hits me first, sure." They argued it was never okay to hit a woman, and when I repeated "IF SHE HITS ME FIRST," I was all of a sudden evil. My wife has pushed me, and I pushed back. I respond, but don't initiate.

Further, I don't want to "dismiss" the kicks to the groins, shoves down the stairs, etc. If you will notice in my original query, I said "So let's start noticing when women are insulted in the same video as men." Insulted. Not abused. Not beaten. INSULTED. I found it INSULTING that a man was shown in the video being abused. Some people may find it insulting that the women were in hamster cages drinking out of hamster bottles. I sort of do. So, in my mind (which is where I came up with my reply), the injustices were equal, because they were both insulting.

Yeah. I smurfed up on the typing. My son was tickling my feet at the time. Yes, peeing sitting down is what I meant. When I was younger, my folks made myself and my brother urinate sitting down because we wouldn't stop intentionally urinating all over the bathroom. If those boys are messing up the bathroom that way, then I see no reason they should be punished like that. Also, that second article you mention the humiliation device. That's wrong. No doubt about it. And I was incensed about it as well. Further, you state my favorite word is equal. However, you stated in an earlier section that you believe a man should be able to hit a woman back. Isn't that equality? I think it is. Isn't having a Roe V Wade for men equality? Yup. I'm on your side. Feminism has done its job. It's gone overboard. Some reversal needs to be made, but not a complete reversal.

Be advised: Fighting for equal rights for men is not inherently anti-female.

No. But yelling at me because I want insults on BOTH parties brought to light, not just on one IS one sided.

You've just proven my point about you quite nicely. For that I thank you.

I'm sorry you misread what I wrote. That's all I have to say on that.

I will ALWAYS be upset at ANY injustice done to ANY person. I fight here so that injustices against men are not made into comic relief. Nothing anybody says or does will make me stop wanting women to be treated fairly too.

That the video is denigrating to both men and women. But one thing we need to remember is that this video takes place in a strip club, hence the women in hamster cages. I'm not saying that it's okay to objectify women, but women who work in strip clubs have clearly given their permission for the objectification of themselves.

However, the men who are abused, (and BTW I didn't notice any groin shots, thank God) obviously are not being hit because they want to. That's the difference. The video is indeed insulting to both men and women, but it clearly defecates on men more than women by trying to glorify violence against men. Regardless, I think that neither women in cages, nor men getting abused has any place in a music video. Reverse the genders, and I stand by what I said too.
