Wrongfully accused sex offender making documentary
I am a filmmaker. My passion is to tell people’s stories and give them a voice. It was difficult for me to decide if I wanted to expose myself and be publicly known as a alleged sex offender; going against my family and friend’s advice, I decided that going public was the right thing to do. I need to do this, because it is only way to expose this injustice and mistreatment towards men in our justice system. I was arrested solely based on accusation without any other evidence, other than a single eye witness who is her friend. My hope is whatever the outcome, people become more aware of this issue. I am determined to make my case by showing other men who have had a similar experience and how their lives have changed, and give them a voice from a men’s and accused's perspective.
I wanted to share my journey towards clearing my name, and every step of it: from a obtaining a lawyer, how my day-to-day life has been affected, to the final court hearing. I want anyone else who is wrongfully accused to not be ashamed and to speak up, and to address this issue.
My first goal for this film are to expose the injustice to men who are charged with this crime from the first-hand perspective. Secondly, I want society to accept that there are indeed innocently-accused men, and bring to light how their lives have changed and how society can help them with a change of attitude.

with all the false accusations these days
i was wondering why men just don't turn it around, like the duke guys, and sue the false accuser(s)? i know their identities are protected, but if and when they are found to be lying, they have harmed someone and that should be actionable. even given the sorry state of the judicial system.
hit 'em where it hurts. they sure do it to men for little or no reason, right paul?
Wrongfully accused - given 4 yr probation following 9 month Jail
Also know of someone who has been accused...no physical evidence obtained...agreement was NO Sex Offender Registration...Changed 1 year into Probation by Prob. Officer who stated his offense commanded a Mandatory Life Registration and Placed him on the SORP - do this or go back to Jail was the P.O.'s deal...No Money for a Lawyer...very little money to live...Life has changed dramaticly...but the wife accused, the state took over and that was that! Do you Trust sentencing?
WTG journey!
A documentary like this is just what the Men's Movement needs. It bugs the hell out of me how the justice system is so ridiculously biased that men are punished more severely for crimes they didn't even commit, than women are for ones they did. Total BS. I also thought about contributing to our cause by writing a book called "J is for a Joke of a Justice System", and expose it for the laughing stock it is regarding how it defecates all over a man's rights. I'll have to watch your documentary, it will definitely aid me in writing the book.

just wrong
i myself was wrongfully accused and now forced to register a a level 1 sex offender for 20 yrs. this has ruined my life. i have more to say on this if anyone would like to listen.
Accusers rarely have anything
Lawyers don't take cases when there is nothing to gain, and false accusers rarely have enough cash to get a civil lawyers interest.... and since the process of being falsely charged with rape tends to strip a man of everything that made him a human being - including all his money in most cases where he's not extremely wealthy (like the Duke boys), he's not gonna be able to pay a retainer to any lawyer who is slightly interested (lawyers don't work on percentage when they fear there is no percentage to be had)
I always laugh when I hear people say 'well they should just sue' as if it's even remotely possible in most cases.
Oh, and sue the State or the police? How far do you think most people get with that? less then nowhere cause even if they can afford a lawyer, the judge throws the case out without reading it - the legal system vigorously protects it's own.
On another note, congrats Journey you are a hero to many for having the courage to make this film.
Re: Re: Court Case
Hi...Tried the link - no action...sorry, no money for donations...helping my friend out has dried up all my reserves...we're waiting for the truth to come out...it's about all we can do...meanwhile he's losing his teeth one by one due to complications from his diabetes brought on by his loving wife's cheating/rape/coverup...long story...hey, you could make a movie about it...funny thing is...she's been gone from this state about 3 1/2 years and her old work number - ya know...the one her co-worker/lover would contact her at home with just recently called...no message...probably doesn't know where she is either...he must miss her - wonder if his wife does?
I would be more than happy to interview him or both of them
I am more than happy to interview both of them, could you please contact me at charles@spicyedition.com
