Judge orders woman to refund C/S payments after paternity fraud uncovered

'Judge David Roper said he felt badly for Kenneth Samuels when he learned the child he had fathered for 11 years wasn't his.

Justice was also shortchanged, the judge said, because Mr. Samuels had been paying child support all of those years.

Last month, Judge Roper ruled that Jamie Hope, the child's mother, and Oba Wallace, the child's biological father, would have to repay Mr. Samuels $14,460 in child support he had paid since 1997.'

Although this is fair justice being served, I highly doubt that the woman would have had to pay back anything if Oba Wallace, another male, wasn't involved.

Now lets look at the real deal here.
The defrauded non-father had to pay child support and also the taxes for that child support.

I suggest they pay the non-father the full amount, which would include the taxes AS WELL AS interest for those 11 years.

She ripped this guy off!!
GRAND LARCENY and FRAUD and THEFT.

He should settle for $35K and not a penny less.

In my time here on MANN, I've heard of so many cases of child support being abused, I'm almost in disbelief that this happened. It's nice to hear that someone was finally caught and forced to pay back what they gained from their extortion. Personally, I think she should also have to serve some prison time for fraud.

I also agree with oregon dad. He should get more than just what he payed in child support payments. After all, the psychological damage this is going to cause him is considerable. How would anybody feel to find out the child they thought was theirs really isn't? He should be compensated for that as well.

there is an easy way to tell if your woman loves you as much as say... your dog.

and when you let them out see who is really happy to see you.

i agree that if this other guy wasn't available
there would have been no "refund" offered.

women typically don't pay crap. that's the reason behind the treason.
