'ARLINGTON, Texas -- A suburban North Texas high school teacher has been accused of having sex with five 18-year-old students at her home and was released on bond Monday.

Brittni Nicole Colleps, an English teacher at Kennedale High School, is charged with five counts of having an inappropriate relationship between a student and teacher -- a second-degree felony.

It is a criminal offense for teachers to have sex with a primary or secondary school student, no matter the student's age. A conviction carries a penalty of anywhere from two years to 20 years in prison per count.

The Arlington woman was booked into the city jail after turning herself in Monday morning and posted a $125,000 bond for her release that afternoon, police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard told The Associated Press.'

Clearly, SAVE's well-subscribed petition, high-profile press conference, and other efforts to publicize the case are proving to be a major irritant to Mary Kellett...and well they should!

The judge viewed the motion as a puny attempt to revoke SAVE's First Amendment rights, and quickly denied the motion. And once again, the methods of prosecutor Mary Kellett and her proxies have been exposed for all to see.

'A female UK drama teacher groomed a 13-year-old girl for sex then started a relationship with another student months after their affair ended.

Caroline French, 38, has been jailed for three years at the Preston Crown Court in Lancashire, after being found guilty of three indecent assaults and one count of indecency with a child, the BBC reports.

The court heard the Blackpool resident exchanged rings with the first teenager, a Lancashire student, and asked her to call her "Danny," to keep their affair secret.

Their affair became sexual when the student was 15 and continued for three months from January to April 2004.

A few months after the relationship ended French became intimate with another girl she taught at a different school, the court heard.'

'Jurors in an American woman's third trial have found her guilty of burning her baby daughter to death in a microwave oven.

China Arnold, 31, was convicted of aggravated murder in the death of 28-day-old Paris Talley in August 2005. Arnold could receive the death penalty. The sentencing phase will begin on Monday next week.

Arnold's first trial ended in a mistrial.

She was found guilty in the second trial, but that conviction was reversed last year. An appeals court found there was misconduct by prosecutors and the trial court made an error by not allowing a material witness to testify in Arnold's defence.

Prosecutors have said Arnold intentionally put the baby in the microwave after a fight with her boyfriend. The defence had argued someone else was responsible.'

'The Facebook Campaign to confront Child Support Agencies and their inhumane practices toward child support payers is off to a rousing start. Over 300 people ‘liked’ thesavetheturnips page in the first 24 hours. But there’s more…One basis of this campaign is disgust over how child support officials identify child support payers as ‘turnips.’ We provided a link to a National Child Support Enforcement Association (NCSEA) training program titled: “Getting Blood from a Turnip: New Farming Techniques for Increasing Your Yield.”

Apparently folks at NCSEA got the message, sort of. Within hours of the start of the ‘Save the Turnips’ campaign NCSEA programmers had changed the website and pulled the reference to obligors as ‘Turnips.’ Of course, we thought you would like to see those ‘before and after’ alterations. The NCSEA is apparently still farming, just not specifically ‘turnips.’

In his new book warning young men about the dangers of marrying unwisely, Dr. Burleson examines the biology of love and mating, helping the reader to understand why some unions are bound to fail before they even start. The boycott, which will continue until the fraternity in question internally tries the perpetrator of the assault, was enacted following a violent incident at a fraternity’s physical plant on Saturday, according to Levin.

'VIENNA - A Vienna man would rather sit in jail than pay alimony to his ex-wife, hoping it forces a change in state paternity laws.

Monday, Sean Keefe, 37, was sentenced to six months in the North Central Regional Jail for refusing to pay his ex-wife $1,800-a-month court-ordered alimony.

"I didn't kill anybody. I didn't assault anybody. And I didn't steal from anybody and I am going to jail. I am in jail," Keefe said in a YouTube video posted Saturday.

Keefe alleges two years after he divorced his ex-wife, he discovered he was not the father of the couple's youngest son.

"Just before our divorce was finalized I was told I should have a DNA test performed. I was told there was zero-percent chance I was his biological father," he stated on the video. Caroline Keefe, Sean's wife, provided The News and Sentinel copies of the test results.'

The Ad Council is known for creating the ads we see on T.V. or hear on the radio known as Public Service Announcements, (PSA’s) that stations run perhaps for free or at a reduced rate, usually to support some social cause that usually would not have the money for an ad campaign on the scale arranged for by the Ad Council. They usually have some ad agency do the creative work based upon their direction or guidance. I’m not sure exactly how much public funds, if any, are involved, either directly or indirectly.
