Strauss-Kahn Case Seen as in Jeopardy

Article here. So does he get his old job back? Does he get his chance at becoming the president of France again? No and no. Another man destroyed by false allegations. Wonder if the many feminists and their supporters will now write mea culpa columns to go with their attack-writings of the not-so-recent past. Answer again is: No. And the new head of the IMF quipped that it is better that a woman be in such a position because women "make better leaders". Well we know for sure of one woman who doesn't make a very good liar: that is the false accuser in this case. Excerpt:

'The sexual assault case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn is on the verge of collapse as investigators have uncovered major holes in the credibility of the housekeeper who charged that he attacked her in his Manhattan hotel suite in May, according to two well-placed law enforcement officials.

Although forensic tests found unambiguous evidence of a sexual encounter between Mr. Strauss-Kahn, a French politician, and the woman, prosecutors do not believe much of what the accuser has told them about the circumstances or about herself.

Schoolgirls plot murder for inheritance

Story here. Excerpt:

'TWO English schoolgirls, along with their mother, brother and his girlfriend have been accused of using bricks to kill their granddad to get their inheritance early. The Daily Mail reported that they allegedly searched the Internet for 'the easiest way to kill an old person.'

The sisters aged 14 and 15, their 48-year-old mother, 18-year-old brother and also his 16-year-old girlfriend. Their 89-year-old granddad was suffering from dementia.
...
The jury was told that the 89-year-old man had given his adopted daughter lavish gifts, including a car, in the months leading up to the attack but that she was not prepared to wait for her inheritance

So, when he stepped outside he was set upon by his grandson and then hit by his granddaughters who were 'armed with bricks' in plastic bags. After the alleged attack, one of the granddaughters phoned 999 and said the pensioner had slipped and fallen.'

A look at fathers' rights in New Hampshire's court system

Article here. Excerpt:

'Personal stories told with passion are the mark of fathers who decry the role the legal system has played in their families’ lives.

Fathers’ rights activists make headlines from time to time. Their actions can be silly, as in the case of British activists who periodically dress as comic book superheroes and scale public buildings. Or, they can be tragic, as in Thomas J. Ball’s recent public suicide outside the Cheshire County Court House in Keene.
...
Peter G. Hill, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Fatherhood Coalition, lays out his group’s legislative agenda: shared custody laws, stricter requirements for issuing restraining orders, and reform to child support policies that can land cash-strapped fathers in jail.
...
In 2002, New Hampshire established its Commission on the Status of Men, the only panel of its kind in the country.

Woman killed, then took dead baby out while shopping

Story here. Excerpt:

'CHICAGO - A CHICAGO woman is accused of strapping her baby's corpse into a sling and taking him shopping after killing the three-month old in a drunken rage, local media reported on Wednesday.

Ken Blackman Jr had been dead for eight to 14 hours when the woman wrapped up her shopping trip and went to visit a neighbour, who noticed blood on the baby blanket and called 911.

Prosecutors told the Chicago Sun Times that Toyrianna Smith, 20, beat and suffocated her baby because he wouldn't stop crying on June 22.'

Time: Why Women Are Better at Everything

Article here. This is why I don't subscribe to Time magazine. How utterly stupid. This inane anti-male bigotry seems to have no end in the liberal mainstream media. Excerpt:

'Recently in the Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch columnist David Weidner noted that women "do almost everything better" than men — from politics to corporate management to investing.

Weidner cites a new study by Barclays Wealth and Ledbury Research, which found that women were more likely than men to make money in the market, mostly because they didn't take as many risks. And why are they risk-averse? Because they're not as overconfident as men, the study found.'

Blagojevich jury: 11 women, one man

Article here. I am not saying that the verdict was wrong. The point of this post is that there was once a time people complained vehemently at the lack of women in juries because any woman put on trial would undoubtedly have a gender bias against her since all or most of the jurors were men. In this case, a man faced 11 women and one man. Why didn't the attorneys take the oft-heard principle that juries should be representative of the population of eligible jurors in mind when choosing this jury? They could not find five more men to be seated as jurors in this trial? Excerpt:

'This time, there was no holdout juror.

It may have taken parts of 10 days to talk through the counts, but a federal jury of 11 women and one man on Monday overwhelmingly convicted former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

In the end, they found him guilty on 17 out of 20 counts, including fraud, extortion and bribery.

One juror who wanted to acquit the ex-governor said she couldn’t ignore the mountain of evidence facing him.'

Why Boys Are Failing in an Educational System Stacked Against Them

Article here. Excerpt:

'According to Whitmire, children are forced to use literacy skills much earlier than in the past, and boys develop these skills later than girls. In the world of "Kindergarten is the new first grade," boys are struggling mightily to keep up. When it comes to writing, the gender divide is even greater. NCLB and our hyper-focus on standardized test scores is worsening, not ameliorating, the academic struggles of boys, and subsequently increasing the numbers of boys who turn off to school and eventually drop out.

According to Gurian, boys learn by doing and by moving their bodies through space. The more emphasis is placed on the development of early reading skills, and the less emphasis is placed on a healthy amount of movement and experiential learning, the more disadvantageous our schools will be for males.'

Norwalk woman charged with making false rape report that resulted in arrest of two men

Story here. Excerpt:

'Norwalk Police arrested a 20-year-old woman on a warrant Monday for falsely accusing two city men of violently raping her.

Brittany Reith, of 7 Commerce St., was charged with falsely reporting an incident concerning serious injury or death and making a false statement. She was held on $5,000 bond and given a court date of July 8.

Reith made a sworn, written statement to police after showing up more than 12 hours late to the apartment that she shares with her boyfriend and telling him that she'd been kidnapped by three men, held against her will and repeatedly raped, according to court documents.

As a result of Reith's statement, patrol officers arrested two men -- Anthony Lee and Joseph Gay -- on April 7 for felony sexual assault and battery charges. Lee, a former standout Norwalk High School basketball player, had no criminal record. Gay had prior drug dealing convictions, but police never arrested him for a violent crime.'

Bristol Palin On Good Morning America: Virginity Was 'Stolen'

Article here. Is Bristol Palin engaging in parental alienation? Her claim that her virginity was 'stolen' is obviously unsubstantiated and Levi Johnston is entitled to his side of the story. It seems as if he's not getting the benefit of the doubt and as a result is being punished by losing time with his child. Excerpt:

'When her mother, Sarah Palin, was thrust into the spotlight as John McCain's vice presidential candidate, Bristol Palin had to come out with a secret, that she was about to be a teen mom. Now she's revealed her whole story in her book, "Not Afraid of Life," and there are plenty of surprises.

Bristol Palin doesn't accuse the father of her baby, Levi Johnston, of date rape, but does say she felt her virginity was stolen. She was drunk and to her, that's how it felt.

Market Watch: 'Women are better investors, and here’s why'

Article here. Excerpt:

'Women, on the other hand, do almost everything better. We've known this intuitively for a long time. If you didn't, just ask your wife or your mother. But now there’s a raft of evidence that suggests women are better at everything — including investing.
...
“Women were more likely than men to have a greater desire for self-control,” the study concluded.

In other words, they trade less and earn more.

“Women were more likely than men to have a greater desire for self-control,” the study concluded.

In other words, they trade less and earn more.

“Women tend to have lower composure and a greater desire for financial self-control, which is associated with a desire to use self-control strategies. Women are also more likely to believe that these strategies are effective.”'

Swedish School Takes Gender Equality Too Far For Little Kids

Article here. Excerpt:

'For some parents, it would be like finding nirvana. In Sweden there exists a school where there is no gender. The kids don't learn about "he" or "she." And the books are all about homosexual couples, lest mother or father be seen as "better."

It sounds like a load of manure to me. Yeah, I said it. Egalia is being touted as the new wunderkind on the educational playground. It's a place where they're creating children who believe in gender equality because inside the walls of Egalia, gender doesn't exist.

Missing man found buried in wife's flowerbed

Such a sweet old lady. Link to article here. Excerpt:

'A man who disappeared 14 years ago has been found buried in his wife's flowerbed in North Carolina.

Police only started searching for David Ellis Bostic after his wife died last year, aged 78, and they realised she had been collecting his social security payments, NY Daily News reports.

Last month investigators found the US man's remains buried in the garden that his wife Ruth Huber Bostic lovingly tended up until her death.

Police say the autopsy revealed nothing suspicious about Mr Bostic's death but they are still investigating the case.

In the 1990s Mrs Bostic told her neighbours that her husband had a stroke and they believed he had gone to live in a nursing home.

Mrs Bostic's neighbours said her house fell into disrepair after her husband disappeared but the old woman continued caring for her garden and they often caught her talking as she tended her violets and hosta plants.'

Another three-sentence report of a woman killing a man

Article here. In contrast, a story also on that same page of two women caught smuggling drugs takes up six paragraphs. Excerpt:

'About 1:50 a.m. Saturday, a 31-year-old man was found stabbed on Post Avenue. He died shortly after. A 30-year-old woman is in custody in relation to that incident.'

"Incident"? It's just an "incident"? Guess it is if the victim is male and the perp is female.

IA: Tell Doctors to Put Down the Knife

From an IA Newsletter:

ACT NOW: TELL DOCTORS TO PUT DOWN THE KNIFE!

Have you made your voice heard yet?

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) all acknowledge that infant circumcision is NOT MEDICALLY NECESSARY, but their members are responsible for nearly all the infant circumcisions performed in the United States.

We need them to acknowledge this ethical disconnect, to recommend that parents leave their sons intact, and to REFUSE TO PERFORM CIRCUMCISIONS.

Send a message to America’s doctors by writing today!
