Story here. Talk about hutzpah. A 19-year-old woman in essence confesses to committing statutory rape of a 16-year-old and demands paternity. Bieber denies his alleged paternity but that isn't the point. If they did have sex when he was 16, isn't that statutory rape on the woman's part? And if so, why isn't she under arrest? The law as we know generally doesn't care about these details. If it can assign paternity even to a minor, it will, even if the mother was a statutory rapist at the time of the impregnation. Excerpt:
'A 20-year-old California woman has filed a bombshell lawsuit against teen pop icon Justin Bieber alleging he is the father of her three-month-old baby boy, Star magazine is exclusively reporting in its new issue.
Mariah Yeater is demanding the singer take a paternity test "to scientifically confirm" he is the father of the child, according to court papers obtained by Star.

Last week, members of the Intact America team—Georganne Chapin, Amy Callan, Marilyn Milos (of NOCIRC), and Dan Bollinger—traveled to Boston to attend the annual conference of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Thanks to your financial support, we were able to publish an Open Letter in the Sunday edition of the Boston Globe, as well as an ad in the conference’s daily newspaper, inviting pediatricians to visit our booth.
And visit they did! Hundreds of doctors stopped by to talk with us about circumcision, and why we’re fighting to bring an end to the practice:

'WASHINGTON, Nov. 1, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Following recent publication of sexual harassment claims against presidential candidate Herman Cain, a leading victim-rights organization is deploring the use of such accusations as a political maneuver. Resurrected in the middle of a closely fought political campaign, such allegations rob true victims of their credibility and trivialize the problem, according to Stop Abusive and Violent Environments.
This past Sunday, Politico published an article that recounted charges by two unnamed women of alleged "inappropriate behavior" by Herman Cain when he was the president of the National Restaurant Association. The Politico essay describes the behavior as "conversations allegedly filled with innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature" and "physical gestures that were not overtly sexual."
False allegations of sexual misconduct have been leveled against candidates of both political parties, including former Vice President Al Gore and Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown.'

'A recent article in Politico claims that GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain was accused of sexually harassing two women during his tenure at the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990s. The accusations are sourced to a series of unnamed sources. Cain is denying the claims.
And what if Cain happened to be a student attending a university that is now required to follow the Dept. of Education’s (DED) new sexual assault policy? The policy requires that colleges change their standard of proof from “clear and convincing” to a “preponderance of evidence.”

'This week, after a glorious thrill ride for Americans who enjoy our national pastime — baseball — we must endure another political attack, this time on Herman Cain. I’ll resist talking about the obvious: an ad hominem charge against a black conservative who, to a lefty, represents the lowest of the low. Instead, I’ll focus on the real issue: In response to the two women who claim they were sexually harassed by Herman Cain, Erin Matson, a vice president for the National Organization for Women, had this to say: “It is deeply insulting that this is being called political. . . . Sexual harassment allegations are always about a woman who is simply trying to go to work.”
In fact, that is rarely what sexual harassment allegations are about.

The ABC News website has a men's and women's health section. Unlike the women's health page, the men's page includes a section called -- 'Men's Health Spotlight: The Male Mind'. It seems ABC equates the male mind with violence, poor parenting, bad behavior, and excessive alcohol consumption. I should also point out the women's page has a section devoted to heart disease while no equivalent exists for men.
Some of the topics include:
Teen Sports = Teen Drinking, Teen Violence?
When Dad Couldn't Care Less About Baby
Ending Road Rage: A Subliminal Solution?
Harsh 'Reality': Getting Dumped on Live TV
Why Young Men Don't Know How to Act
Bad Boys Grow Up to Be Sick Men
Why Ask 'Why Men Buy Prostitutes?'

'MONDAY, Oct. 31 (HealthDay News) -- Construction workers in the United States have a high risk of work-related injuries and an increased risk of work-related illness and death, a new study shows.
Researchers analyzed data from several national sources and found that a construction worker has a 75 percent chance of suffering a disabling injury over a 45-year career, and a 1-in-200 risk of being fatally injured on the job.
...
"While great strides have been made in reducing construction injuries and illnesses, the numbers are still stubbornly high," Pete Stafford, executive director of CPWR, said in an APHA news release.'

Quite an accomplishment when you consider that we have maintained a nationally available toll free helpline manned by an all volunteer staff with a budget that averages $15,000 or less in contributions and small grants each year.'

'A new nationwide survey shows that Willis, 44, may not be alone. A women and workplace survey from More magazine shows that 43% of the women surveyed say they are less ambitious now than they were a decade ago. And only a quarter of the 500 women ages 35 to 60 say they're working toward their next promotion.
And forget about the corner office: 3 out of 4 women in the survey — 73% — say they would not apply for their boss' job. Almost 2 of 5 — 38% — report they don't want to put up with the stress, office politics and responsibility that often go hand in hand with such positions.

'Harriet Harman was yesterday accused of 'riding roughshod' over Labour leader Ed Miliband after she launched a new bid to boost the power of women Labour MPs.
Ms Harman, Labour's deputy leader, sparked fury among male party colleagues by announcing that the 11 women in the Shadow Cabinet were holding their own meetings.
They said Ms Harman informed the Labour leader of the plan – already being dubbed 'Harriet's Kitchen Cabinet' – at a full Shadow Cabinet meeting earlier this month.
One witness told The Mail on Sunday that towards the end of the meeting, Ms Harman mentioned that the women members would be meeting on their own. The source added: 'The blokes on the Shadow Cabinet just looked at each other as if to say, what the hell is all this about?
'Harriet then said that as the Tories were now losing the women's vote, it was important that we made sure our policies appeal to female voters.

"They're pretty tight, but it just represents the idea that oftentimes as men, we're sort of self-centered and don't put ourselves in someone's else's shoes. Empathy really has to be encouraged in men," Heath said. "I think all of us are here to bring into the forefront the impact domestic violence is having on families and, most importantly, women in Maine. The deaths that have resulted just this year have impacted the whole community."'

'A new course for teenage dads is opening the eyes of young fathers to a brighter future with their children.
Run by the Otara Health Charitable Trust the Teen Parent Programme mentoring initiative is giving young fathers the confidence to be better parents.
Alom William is one of those reaping the benefits.
As the primary caregiver for both of his children, aged six and four years old, he struggled with his role as a young dad.
But the course has given him some tools to be a better father, he says.
"It was a wake-up call to learn about things like sudden unexplained death in infancy syndrome, safety for children and then the legal stuff like children's rights and access.'

Sherry Warner-Seefeld says her son Caleb Warner just wants to put the incident behind him and get on with his life. Nearly two years after being accused of rape Warner's expulsion was reversed.
Despite being cleared of the charges, Warner wasn't able to get his expulsion reversed until he brought in the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education to represent his case.

Warner's accuser, a UND student at the time, was charged with making false allegations.
Despite being cleared of the charges, Warner wasn't able to get his expulsion reversed.
That is until just about a week ago when UND vacated the expulsion after Warner brought in the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education to represent his case.
UND had refused to reopen the case as late as August 2010.

On the details of Cain’s allegedly inappropriate behavior with the two women, POLITICO has a half-dozen sources shedding light on different aspects of the complaints.
