'New York State Assemblyman Alan Maisel has introduced Senate Bill 2704A, authorizing the creation of a financially delinquent parents most wanted list. If this passes, New York will join six other states with statewide online listings of parents delinquent in child support payments.

These states are: Delaware, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Washington. Of course, there are seventeen states where at least one county in the state publishes its own online list, including New York. The other sixteen states are: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

'Students received an Alert Carolina message Monday about a falsely reported sexual assault because the Department of Public Safety wanted to assuage heightened concerns about the issue.

Students and the campus community received an informational message in an email that said a non-UNC student had falsely filed a report about an alleged April 6 assault.

The email said an alert about the incident was not immediately sent to students because DPS didn’t think there was a threat to campus.

'Boys are more likely to shun university as a result of the rise in tuition fees, according to new research.

In particular, the gender gap between working class boys and girls going to university is growing, the study, by the Independent Commission on Fees, shows.

Whilst overall acceptance rates among applicants from poorer homes have remained steady, the figures show 1,700 fewer boys from the 40 per cent of neighbourhoods with the lowest higher-education participation rates were accepted into university last year.

Officers not only refused to charge him, but also alleged his accuser made a false report. Police issued a warrant for her arrest.

It took 18 months – during which Warner not only was banned from the UND campus, but also from all college campuses in the state – for the university to agree to reconsider the conviction and clear his record.

The Foundation For Individual Rights in Education, or FIRE, said, “Nobody should be surprised that [Warner] does not want to return to UND.”

“The university showed less than zero concern for disrupting his life and career and branding him a criminal based on an extremely low standard of evidence, and has shown zero inclination to be remorseful about what it has done,” the group said.

The Warner case also illustrates the extreme legal danger a student can face in a college court.'
