'The public relations officer for the Massachusetts Trial Court informed us that the task force continues its work reviewing the child support guidelines.
Currently, Chief Justice Paula Carey is leading the review of the child support guidelines and serves on the Governor’s Working Group on Child-Centered Family Laws. On July 16th, Chief Justice Paula Carey will take over as Chief Justice of the Trial Court for a five year term replacing Judge Robert Mulligan who plans to retire.
It is the Chief Justice of the Trial Court who has final approval for the work of the child support guidelines review task force, as well as the recommendations for openings within the trial court, including the vacancy of Chief Justice of the Probate and Family Court created by Judge Paula Carey’s promotion.'

Kia Motors seems to think they will sell more cars to women if their ads include a little female-on-male abuse. In the following ad they've made the woman a human-looking robot. We think it's offensive, whether she's a robot or not.
Please contact Kia Motors today. Use whichever link below is the most convenient.
Tell them you won't be buying any of their cars as long as they try to sell them with "humorous violence."
On behalf of every victim of violence, thank you.

'By the late Eighties, it was glaringly obvious that families were suffering a chronic crisis of identity and self-confidence.
There were more and more divorces and single parents — along with mounting evidence that family disintegration and the subsequent creation of step-families or households with no father figure at all did incalculable damage to children.
‘Too many children lack a consistent mother or father figure,’ researchers told me.
Poverty, the Left’s habitual excuse, could not be the culprit since middle-class children were also not receiving the parental attention they required.
...
From their research, they concluded that children in fractured families tend to suffer more ill-health, do less well at school, are more likely to be unemployed, more prone to criminal behaviour and to repeat as adults the same cycle of unstable parenting.

'Almost a quarter of girls whose fathers were absent during early childhood suffer depression as teenagers, a report says.
Some 23 per cent will show symptoms such as sadness or severe tiredness later in life if their parent leaves before they turn five, researchers found.
It makes them almost 50 per cent more likely to have future mental health problems than older girls, confirming previous studies that suggest pre-schoolers cope badly with break-ups because they are less likely to have a support network of friends and other family members.'

'A Syracuse woman who reported a rape in mid-March by an Indiana State Police officer, had filed similar reports in 2002 and 2009 with Syracuse Police.
Jama K. Brown, 33, West Pickwick Drive, Syracuse, was arrested May 15 and charged with false informing claiming an Indiana State Police officer raped her. The name she provided to police was fictional.
Information began unfolding on March 18 when an officer from Indiana State Police Bremen Post contacted Sgt. Kathy Robbins with the Fort Wayne post, asking her to contact Brown. Brown told the trooper she had been the victim of a sexual assault by an officer, but did not wish to speak to anyone out of the Bremen post. The investigator was told Brown had also claimed she was stopped by a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputy a few days after the alleged assault telling her to leave the state officer alone.'

'Flatulent, dirty, couch-bound, unkempt, and unevolved: It’s Samsung’s new view of men.
A new ad for Samsung televisions portrays men as dirty slobs, just a half step up from cavemen -- and it has the more evolved members of the male species crying foul.
“That's probably one of the most vile adverts I've ever seen,” wrote one outraged user on a Reddit forum dedicated to men’s rights. “This isn't the normal IV drip of laughing at men; this is simply mainlining outright contempt.”
“Are they trying to alienate their primary consumer base?” another person asked.'

'UNITED States Ambassador to Zambia Mark Storella has urged traditional leaders in Zambia to help sensitise their subjects and other citizens on the importance of male circumcision.
Mr Storella said male circumcision was important in reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS.
He was speaking on Tuesday afternoon when his delegation, which included United States Ambassador to Zimbabwe Bruce Wharton, paid a courtesy call on Senior Chief Mukuni in Kazungula District in Southern Province.
“Your Royal Highness, we are trying to support male circumcision and we think it is important that traditional leaders actively participate in this campaign.
“So far, Chief Mumena of North-Western Province is a big advocate of male circumcision,” he said.'

'South Africa’s ruling African National Congress criticized the slow pace of a police investigation into the death of 35 young men during traditional initiation ceremonies.
Twenty-nine boys and young men 13 years to 21 years old died in the eastern Mpumalanga province during this year’s rituals that involve circumcisions, police spokesman Colonel Leonard Hlati said in a phone interview today. Another six died in the northern Limpopo province, according to the ANC.
“While we are fully supportive of the practice of initiation, we believe it should not be a death sentence to so many young people,” the ANC said in an e-mailed statement today.

'The past week has again highlighted the inexplicable absence of an intelligent discussion conducted by men about ourselves. It's followed a familiar pattern: a leading female commentator – Diane Abbott on this occasion – diagnoses male ailments and prescribes her cures. What comes back from the patient? Silence. Can there be any group that is subject to so much debate and accusation, and is so apparently powerful – yet remains so utterly speechless?

'A Virginia couple was shocked to find a police officer in front of their home when they returned from running errands, but they were even more surprised by the reason for the cop's visit-- to question whether or not they were in fact their children's parents.
Joseph, a white man who didn't want his last name revealed, and his black wife Keana told Fox5DC that they were outraged after the policeman told them a security guard at their local Walmart had suspected Joseph of kidnapping his three young daughters.
...
According to Keana, she was told a customer was alarmed after seeing her husband and children.
"Well, the customer was concerned because they saw the children with your husband and he didn't think that they fit," Keana told the news station. "And I said, ‘What do you mean by they don't fit?’ And I was trying to get her to say it. And she says, ‘Well, they just don't match up.’”'

'Meg Lanker-Simons, an award winning liberal student activist and talk show host at the University of Wyoming (UW), walked into a radio station in 2005 and threatened her former boss with a Glock 44 .40 caliber handgun, according to court documents.
Lanker-Simons, whose Tumblr blog won a 2012 Think Progress award, made national news again last month when police accused her of fabricating a high-profile rape threat against herself prepared to look as if it came from a conservative.
According to the 2006 affidavit on the firing, she walked into the office of her former employer and pointed the gun at the man who decided to fire her, who reported he was in “fear for his life.”
...
Lanker-Simons “admitted to having (a) gun in (her) purse and pulling it out and waving it around (the) victim,” according to the affidavit.
She pled guilty and received six- years of probation. At the time, Lanker-Simons went by the name Meghan Michelena, according to the Laramie Boomerang.'

'A student’s bid to become associate vice president of diversity and inclusion at Northwestern University was derailed last Wednesday over accusations that his status as a white heterosexual male would make it impossible for him to perform the position’s duties.
Piotrkowski reportedly attempted to appeal to the Student Senate on the grounds that he identifies as a religious minority and has a lesbian sister, but it was to no avail.
...
Ian Coley, a student on the Associate Student Government Diversity and Inclusion Committee, later said white heterosexual males are not qualified to hold the position of associate vice president of diversity and inclusion.
“This university is not ready, in any capacity, for a heterosexual white male to be in charge in any way of diversity and inclusion,” said Coley, according to the Daily Northwestern.
“I don’t know if any university is,” he reportedly added.

'Would a gender tax designed so it would be about men paying higher taxes because of that there is still an unexplained pay gap of around seven per cent in favor of men.
But there are more reasons that makes an average of 4,500 kronor per month, the difference in income between men and women. It's about the choices we have to do and how these choices are valued. Still, women take out the majority of parental leave and working part-time to a greater extent and more unpaid home. It loses women in their wallets, for life. The injustice of it is necessary to talk about and take responsibility for.'
