Kentucky Fried Chicken has decided to use violence to sell their new Hot Shot Bites product. Their ad (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRH9NBcd33k) shows a woman trying the snack, then slapping a man across the face.

Others have complained to the company, but KFC's reply leaves much to be desired. We're told that one of KFC's attorneys said that he thought 'the smack in the commercial was a metaphor with the smack of the flavor.' When asked if he'd find it acceptable if the roles were reversed, he remained silent. Then he stated that the commercial will continue to air.

Are we going to take this lying down? Heck no!

The man gives his girlfriend a taste of KFC’s product and asks her how she likes it. She responds by slapping him across the face, as the narrator says that the chicken is so spicy that it’s like a slap to the face. While KFC intends for this to be comical, we at Fathers and Families New York believe that depictions of domestic violence should never be a laughing matter. If the genders were reversed, no one would be laughing, and it should be no different here.'

'Twenty-five years after accusing an innocent man of rape, Tawana Brawley is finally paying for her lies.

Last week, 10 checks totaling $3,764.61 were delivered to ex-prosecutor Steven Pagones — the first payments Brawley has made since a court determined in 1998 that she defamed him with her vicious hoax.

A Virginia court this year ordered the money garnisheed from six months of Brawley’s wages as a nurse there.

'The tattooed Brooklyn ex-teacher who pleaded guilty to sleeping with a 16-year-old football player was sentenced to 10 years probation today.

Erin Sayar, 37, also had to give up her teaching license and register as a Level 1 sex offender.

Sayar was ordered not to have any contact with the teen she pleaded guilty to having oral sex and intercourse with eight times in her office and SUV, while also plying him with pot.

“Do not send anyone to him on your behalf, and there is not to be any electronic communication,” Brooklyn Supreme Court judge Elizabeth Foley told a thin, frail-looking Sayar in court.'

While most of her octogenarian peers are enjoying their golden years, Jones was allegedly selling Hydrocodone, the powerful painkiller, from her home, according to a Kingsport Police Department report.

A search of Jones’s home turned up “narcotics in addition to evidence” corroborating a police probe “into Jones selling narcotics from this residence.”'

“She exited her patrol car, gun drawn, and asked the gentlemen to get on the ground. The gentlemen didn’t get on the ground, he was still inside the restaurant. She asked again. The man then exited the restaurant, and as he was exiting the restaurant, he said, ‘What are you gonna do, b—-?’ About a second later, she shot him in the chest,” he said.'

'A former Redlands high school teacher convicted of having sex with three of her students got off easy because she is a woman, an attorney for one of the victims said.

Laura Elizabeth Whitehurst, 28, pleaded guilty to engaging in sex acts with three boys and was sentenced to one year in jail this week. She had a baby with one of the boys this summer.

She admitted guilt to four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and two of oral copulation of a person under 18.

"This is a very short sentence for such crimes," said attorney Heather Cullen, whose firm represents the family of the boy who fathered a child with Whitehurst. "It's shocking anyone would face so little time for abusing minors. This is definitely being treated differently because they are boys and she is a woman."

She described the sentence as "a slap in the face to the victims."'
