The release was timed for the the International Men’s Day, observed on November 19 every year. The documentary aims to start a dialogue over misuse of rape laws and reveal “the unsaid truth” behind India's tag of a rape capital.

Several topics like consensual sex being labelled as rape by women to collect money and gain false sympathy and registering false dowry cases were debated in an online conference to mark the day.'

''White men' demonstrating against violence towards women on the United Nations' anti-abuse day have been slammed by a campaigner for 'stealing' the occasion and 'erasing an event connected to Hispanic women'.

White Ribbon Day, a protest day created by men to promote ending male violence towards women, is held on November 25.

It was formed by a group of pro-feminist men in Ontario in 1991 after Marc Lépine shot dead 14 female students at the École Polytechnique in Montreal on December 6, 1989.

But the date is also home to the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women - born out a day of protest for the Mirabal sisters, who were murdered in the Dominican Republic in 1960.

Karen Ingala-Smith, chief executive of domestic violence charity Nia, said: 'That was honouring women of colour, so we've got a bunch of white Canadian men stealing the day, and erasing an event connected to Hispanic women.'

Defending Women’s Spaces is a book about the threat to feminism posed by gender ideology. But according to Eventbrite’s trust and safety team, the event is in danger of violating its policy on ‘Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content’. Eventbrite have been contacted for comment.

There is nothing hateful, dangerous or violent about promoting female only spaces. What is hateful are the things that men do to women and girls that create the need for single sex services.

When women flee for their lives in the middle of the night to escape fatal domestic violence, they need a women-only domestic violence refuge.'

'A painting of old white men smoking cigars by acclaimed contemporary Dutch painter Rein Dool has been taken down at Leiden University in the Netherlands, reportedly the result of a complaint by a female grad student.

Dutch News reported that the painting, which depicts university board members from the mid-1970s, “was taken off the wall following a remark by political scientist Elina Zorina on Twitter, suggesting the painting needed an ‘ironic or critical’ explanatory note.”

Zorina is listed on the university’s website as a PhD candidate at the Institute of Political Science.

The painting’s removal was documented by Joanne van der Leun, a professor of criminology and dean of Leiden Law School.

It “remains in the room facing the wall while a decision is taken about what to do with it. The university has also said the removal was not done officially,” Dutch News reported.

The removal of the painting prompted plenty of pushback.'

Gloria Steinem, as well as other prominent feminists and experts in the domestic violence field, signed the letter in support of Heard.'

'A woman who pushed her son's face against a bath with such force that his nose started bleeding has been given a suspended sentence.

The woman, who is in her 40s but cannot be identified for legal reasons, had earlier pleaded guilty to three counts of child cruelty between 2013 and 2015.

The judge said "cruelty to children in any shape or form cannot be tolerated".

The defendant's daughter said her mother "kicked and punched her and her brother", said the prosecuting counsel.

The children, who were all under 10 years of age at the time of the offences, disclosed how their mother had used a shoe and a rubber spatula to smack them on their hands and bare backsides.

Imposing an eight-month sentence but suspending it for three years, the judge said he was taking account of the fact the woman had already spent three months on remand and had admitted her guilt.'

'Humans could face a reproductive crisis if action is not taken to tackle a drop in sperm count, researchers have warned after finding the rate of decline is accelerating.

A study published in the journal Human Reproduction Update, based on 153 estimates from men who were probably unaware of their fertility, suggests that the average sperm concentration fell from an estimated 101.2m per ml to 49.0m per ml between 1973 and 2018 – a drop of 51.6%. Total sperm counts fell by 62.3% during the same period.

Research by the same team, reported in 2017, found that sperm concentration had more than halved in the last 40 years. However, at the time a lack of data for other parts of the world meant the findings were focused on a region encompassing Europe, North America and Australia. The latest study includes more recent data from 53 countries.

Declines in sperm concentration were seen not only in the region previously studied, but in Central and South America, Africa and Asia.'

'Comedian Jeff Dye (@thejeffdye) recently posted a TikTok sharing his experience when trying to visit LEGOLAND during his tour. The comedian started the story by asking the audience, “Did you know you can’t go to LEGOLAND if you’re just one man?” before commenting that he found that out the hard way.

Jeff then commented that while on tour in Kansas City, he had twelve hours to kill before a show when he found out that the state has a LEGOLAND, which made him get a car service to go to the Park. However, the experience was nothing like he would’ve expected.

“I walked right up; I go ‘one for LEGOLAND.’ And he goes ‘nope,’” said the comedian before saying that the theme park employee explained that if you don’t have kids or family with you, you’re not allowed to enter the Park. “We don’t let just men into LEGOLAND,” were the words the comedian used.

'Gettysburg College has postponed a painting and writing event hosted by its Gender Sexuality and Resource Center for people who are “Tired of white cis men.”

The private Pennsylvania college offered the event as part of a peace and justice, or “P&J,” senior project but has since postponed it after it was shared online.

The event, originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12, told people to “come paint and write about” how they are tired of straight white men.

The pieces from the event would then be displayed in the school’s dining hall for the campus to view.

'Tech giants will be punished for sexism and racism on their platforms despite moves to water down laws on “legal but harmful” content, says the minister who helped draft the new plans.

Damian Collins, who was the digital minister responsible for the bill until last month, said companies would be held to account for “legal but harmful” sexist and racist content through their terms and conditions of service.

This would mean that if they failed to deliver what they promised in their terms of service in protecting people from such abuse, they could face punishment by the regulator Ofcom, which has powers to impose fines worth up to 10 per cent of global turnover.

The crackdown - part of the online safety bill - will remain in the proposed law despite moves by the Government to strip out specific clauses spelling out the legal and harmful content from which adults should be protected.'
