'An army brigade commander is threatening to leave appointments vacant if regiments don’t begin naming women as honorary colonels and lieutenant colonels.

“I will not recommend any new honorary appointment unless we see improvement of our diversity targets,” Colonel Daniel Stepaniuk wrote in an Aug. 13 email after a strategic planning session for all regular and reserve units in Ontario.

“I will not recommend an extension of any current honorary unless we move to satisfy our diversity targets… When I say gender diversity targets, think 50/50,” Stepaniuk wrote.

He is the commander of 32 Canadian Brigade Group, based in Toronto but with 12 reserve regiments in Hamilton, Brantford, Mississauga and other cities in southern Ontario. He spent 30 years in the forces, 27 in the army reserve.

'A swingers party gone awry has led to a woman facing three felonies.

The 26-year-old female resident who called 911 told deputies she and her 31-year-old fiance had the Schomakers over for a swingers party. According to police, Amber Schomaker was downstairs with the female resident's fiance and her husband was upstairs with the female resident.

When the pair upstairs came down, Amber Schomaker slapped her husband and went outside. The other three people followed her, only to see her get in her minivan and drive toward them. The minivan went over the curb, onto the sidewalk, and toward the porch where her husband and their hosts were standing, the woman told police.

Both men had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit, the woman told deputies.

Amber Schomaker drove away, but came back a few minutes later and resumed a physical altercation with her husband.

'A Jupiter woman is facing a felony charge after she allegedly tried to run over her daughter’s husband with her Mercedes-Benz, according to an arrest report.

Kathleen Regina Davis, 58, admitted to Palm Beach Gardens police she had an affair with the 33-year-old man while he was with her daughter, the report said. Davis said the man ruined her relationship with her daughter after he told her of the affair.

That led Davis on Sept. 20 to the man’s house in the 4400 block of Crestdale Street, west of Interstate 95 and north of Northlake Boulevard, where she allegedly tossed several eggs at his residence and vehicles. When police arrived, they saw Davis driving in circles in the front yard of the house while attempting to hit the man with her Mercedes.'

'A former Tennessee high school football coach supported his wife in court on Monday as she was sentenced to three years in prison for repeatedly having sex with one of his teen players, reports say.

Kelsey McCarter, 27, pleaded guilty on Monday to six counts of statutory rape and one count of exploitation of a minor for having sex with a 16-year-old player on her husband, Justin McCarter’s, former South-Doyle High School football team in Knoxville, KRON reports.

McCarter initially faced 38 years in prison. She agreed to a three-year sentence at Monday’s hearing, where Justin, an assistant coach on the team, stood by her side.'

'An aspiring Oxford University heart surgeon student -- whose career a judge said he didn't want to ruin -- received a 10-month suspended prison sentence Monday for stabbing her ex-boyfriend.

Lavinia Woodward, 24, previously pleaded guilty to attacking her partner during a drug and booze-filled binge at Christ Church College last December.

"It seems to me that if this was a one-off, a complete one-off, to prevent this extraordinarily able young lady from following her long-held desire to enter the [medical] profession she wishes to would be a sentence which would be too severe," Judge Ian Pringle told the aspiring heart surgeon during a court appearance in May.

Woodward was handed the 10-month sentence -- suspended for 18 months -- on Monday for the attack on Thomas Fairclough. Woodward hurled a laptop, a glass and a jar of jelly at him during an argument before stabbing him in the leg with a bread knife, The Sun reported.

Her “about” page on Northwestern’s website mentions Harrington-Rosen’s web sideline the Not Sorry Project, which the school said aims “to give space and voice to women, femmes, and other marginalized groups.” But the Not Sorry Project includes content that could be considered anti-male.'

'A former high school teacher in Arkansas accused of sleeping with four different students — two of them in the same night — stood before a judge Wednesday.

Jessie Lorene Goline, 25, faces one count of first-degree sexual assault, Arkansas Online reported.

Four students — three from Marked Tree School District and one from East Poinsett County School District — allegedly had sex with Goline, who was a teacher at Marked Tree High School, from January to April 2016, according to Arkansas Online.

Goline reportedly contacted the students via text messages, which, according to court documents, “became more and more sexual in nature."'
