'David Hogg plans to fire consultants who helped lead the Democratic Party down their “path of failure” if he wins his recently announced bid to become Democratic National Committee vice chairperson.
Hogg, a 24-year-old gun control advocate who survived the 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, joined MSNBC’s Chris Jansing on Tuesday after announcing his candidacy for a leadership position in the DNC. The activist revealed that part of his motivation was frustration with the Democratic Party, especially after he was shut down repeatedly during the 2024 presidential election for voicing concerns about the party’s outreach to young people, specifically men.'

'Online friends of Rupnow identified an X account belonging to her, in which a photo was posted just minutes before the shooting. Police said they responded to the school shortly before 11 am local time, and a photo was posted to the account at 10:45 am showing a person in a bathroom stall showing the "OK" hand symbol.
An account on X called @PETR0GRAD claimed to have access to a Discord chat where Rupnow was detailing her mindset and plans. Later, it was suggested that this was part of an earlier draft of a manifesto.

'A law enforcement official briefed on the situation told CNN the shooter was a 17-yearo-old female.
'We know that the suspect shooter was a teenage student who attended the school,' Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said.
However, police are not releasing the age or gender of the suspected shooter at this time.
'Again, as difficult as today is, that's still someone's child that's gone, that's still someone that has to deal with what happened today. And so we want to make sure that we can ensure as much cooperation as we can,' he said.'

'In nearly every crusade feminists have waged, there have been both lies and exaggerations. They have consistently stretched the truth and, in many cases, outright fabricated claims to push society toward a female supremacist agenda.
As I began compiling a list of the many lies told by feminism over the years, I quickly became overwhelmed. There were so many that it was frustrating to organize them all. Then I had an idea: "I wonder what AI would say about this?" Admittedly, I assumed AI would simply repeat the standard “women good“ party line, but I decided to ask anyway. My question was straightforward: "Can you give me a list of feminist lies or exaggerations? Include the lie as the first part, followed by the facts that refute it."

'Two scholarship programs for "underrepresented" minorities are being slapped with lawsuits for allegedly discriminating against White people.
The nonprofit organization Do No Harm (DNH) is challenging the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons' (SOMOS) E. Anthony Rankin Scholarship Program on behalf of a DNH member who said he could not continue with the application process because he is a White male.
The program, which is "meant for underrepresented medical students," matches students with a "U.S. Military host" at one of two medical centers, the complaint states. The program spans four weeks, during when students can receive up to $12,000 "to cover ‘travel, housing, and daily per diem for the duration’ of their time hosted by the military," the filing reads, quoting the program's website description.'

'Former stripper and current murder convict Crystal Mangum confessed to lying about being raped by Duke Lacrosse players in an interview on the independent media outlet "Let's Talk With Kat" on Thursday.
"I testified falsely against them by saying that they raped me when they didn't and that was wrong, and I betrayed the trust of a lot of other people who believed in me," Mangum said. "[I] made up a story that wasn't true because I wanted validation from people and not from God."
Mangum, who is serving a prison sentence for murdering her boyfriend, falsely accused three Duke players of raping her while she was performing at a team party in March 2006. The players she accused were arrested, igniting a national controversy and conversations about racism. The allegations even resulted in the team having to cancel a game against Georgetown.'

'Eyewitnesses who watched the interaction between Representative Nancy Mace and James McIntyre are questioning the congresswoman's claims about being assaulted, describing instead a scene where McIntyre was just shaking her hand.
McIntyre, a 33-year-old from Chicago, was arrested by U.S. Capitol Police on Tuesday evening at an event for foster children and charged with assaulting a government official. Authorities said that the suspect was tracked down after Mace's office reported an incident in the Rayburn House Office Building.
"I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man. One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm and it'll heal just fine," Mace wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday. "The Capitol police arrested the guy. Your tr*ns violence and threats on my life will only make me double down."
But two eyewitness describe a different scene.'

'A reader once told me he’s fed up with men being blamed for everything: “We do a lot of things wrong, we need to improve. But it’s unbearable to be singled out for everything and beaten down just for being men. It seems there’s no escape.”
This perception is a reality for many men who feel attacked and, more or less consciously, guilty. What do we do about it? Can we address the situation to achieve a positive reaction? Feeling cornered isn’t the best if we expect reflection and change, nor does it encourage active participation.
Saying “men never do anything at home” or “they are rapists” can be meant to provoke, intentionally or not, but the undesirable reaction is rejection from men and even from other women who feel uncomfortable when they look at the men in their lives (fathers, sons, brothers, friends, partners).

'The obsession with ‘toxic masculinity’ shows no sign of abating. As reported this weekend, Bridget Phillipson, the education secretary, has warned of ‘the misogyny increasingly gripping our schools’.
In response to this threat, the government is to issue guidance for teachers to look out for signs in the classroom of ‘incel culture’ stemming from the ‘manosphere’. Teachers of pupils aged over 14 are to be told to look for clues that boys were being drawn into aggressive misogyny, behaviour that could lead to violence and sexual abuse. They are to be on guard for rhetoric indicating teenage boys are being radicalised into ‘hating women’.
A preferable route would be to stop teaching boys to hate themselves in the first place. This is the source of so much discontent among teenage boys, the reason why so many are becoming dysfunctional to begin with, and the reason why many take refuge in the manosphere.
A good first step would be to cease the narrative of ‘toxic masculinity’.'

'Handsome, Ivy-League educated, from a well-heeled family – oh, and did I mention the rippling six pack?
On paper, Luigi Mangione is the sort of man any sane young woman might dream of.
There's a rather large problem, however: the smouldering Italian American now stands charged with killing the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, 50-year-old Brian Thompson, in New York last Wednesday.
I'll admit, I was captivated as soon as the first CCTV images of Mangione were released to the public just hours after the murder.
Various cameras captured him apparently pulling off his meticulously planned operation: approaching Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel, executing the hit and vanishing on an electric bike.
It was like a scene from a Christopher Nolan thriller: cinematic, chilling – and darkly compelling.'

Two organizations have collaborated to curate a program that prevents this phenomenon in young boys.
A Call to Men is a national organization that promotes healthy behaviors among men of all backgrounds.
This organization has served several male-dominated spaces teaching them the same message.'

'The Michigan Court of Appeals declined to overturn a light jail sentence for a young woman who killed her father by burning him with a dangerous powder when he couldn't drive her to a hair appointment before her 18th birthday party.
Megan Imirowicz, now 21, was sentenced to a year in jail in 2023. She was immediately released because she had already spent roughly 17 months in custody before trial and while awaiting her punishment.
Sentencing guidelines called for a minimum term of slightly more than four years in prison. But Oakland County Judge Victoria Valentine gave Imirowicz a break, noting her age, lack of maturity and likelihood of rehabilitation. Prosecutors objected.'

'A glamorous Washington state lawmaker bullied a male aide into sex, then made him run her errands and tried to fire him when he reported her, a lawsuit claims.
Emily Clouse, 30, is said to have begun a 'mutually consensual dating relationship' with the unnamed man after being elected as a commissioner in Thurston County, which includes the state's capital of Olympia.
But the aide alleges he felt unable to reject Clouse's advances because of the power she held over him and says he found the romance 'increasingly unwelcome.''

'The crew of the Grand Sunny cargo ship has been stuck at sea for a year, unpaid and often hungry, after the vessel’s mysterious owner stopped paying the bills.
The fate of the 11 men on board the Grand Sunny off the coast of China is increasingly common in the global shipping industry. The vessel appears to have been involved in sanctions-dodging trade, transporting oil products in the South China Sea, according to Hong Kong maritime officials.'
