Anonymous User writes "Woman files a police report claiming gang rape against university basketball players. School officials expelled the team's second-leading scorer and disciplined four other players. Woman reveals she lied about the gang rape. A woman is charged with filing fictitious reports, attempted extortion and prostitution. The MALE basketball players have not had their punishment reversed." TLE also submitted this and said "Good thing it was on video, or she would probably have gotten away with it. Even though the charges turned out to be false, the men are being punished. I wonder if senior Grady Reynolds can get unexpelled."

Jack Spratt writes "Alternet is a website read by many progressives (what some of you might call leftists), myself included.
This article seems to indicate that many people, not just men's advocates, find the D&G paraphenilia offensive.
Of course, as ever, it focuses on how the D&G stuff harms *women*. Ah well, one step at a time.
Check it out here.

If you would like to offer a word of encouragement (and encourage them that there is a healthy market) or even enroll in the trial (to take place at 14 centers in Europe), you might try to contact Schering Plough or Organon.

mens_issues writes "Bud Lite has a Super Bowl commercial featuring two men and their dogs. One man orders his dog “Piper” to fetch a Bud Lite from an icebox. After the dog does so, he asks the other man what his dog can do. The second man prompts his dog “Fergus” to apparently attack the crotch of the first, who throws the beer in the air. It’s caught by the second man with glee.

On the 28th of this month, Dadi.org is due to close down due to lack of funds, with ten years of service in our movement. A sad end, seeing as how there's a huge amount of info there, a last second save might be possible, I can't say, but drop Gerald a line at dadi.org@earthlink.net give him some good words for his effort. Perhaps you might want to have a look through the archive, at stuff like this this classic I posted a while ago. A real shame, that's all I can say.

bledso writes "It's good that this is getting some press, but we've been relegated to the "Strange" category. I'm not at all surprised."
A few pieces of the article seem to attempt to bias it against Glenn's campaign, such as the title and the unnecessary mention that he's "often at odds with feminists.", and putting it in the "strange" category. However, I think it's obvious enough that the shirts are offensive that the article won't keep people from realizing it, and if anything is a good advertisement for the His Side radio show.

TLE writes "Here it is. Proof that women are better corporate execs than men. Top companies with more female execs make more money. Oh wait. Maybe it's just "statistically significant," not a study about cause and effect. But let's go ahead and draw conclusions from it."

There's a move toward equality in statutory rape laws, as shown by this article. If proposed changes become law, both boys and girls, who engage in consentual underage sex, can be charged with statutory rape. I have to say that I'm not sure either should be charged, if they're close to the same age, but if the government believes that boys should be open to charges, then girls should also be open to charges. The way the law now stands only boys can be charged.
