frank h writes "The title of this article is "No Parent Left Behind." It addresses the things that the No Child Left Behind Act requires that schools make available to parents. Among these things are information on achievement numbers by race, teacher qualifications, test explanations, and offers to transfer students from struggling or dangerous schools. What's missing is gender. This law does NOT require that districts maek achievement by gender available to parents.
This is a small thing but the implications are large. It's something we ought to try to change."

According to this article it says: "A new contraceptive for men has been developed - the biggest revolution in family planning since the launch of the Pill. Thousands of volunteers will begin testing the implant - which works by lowering sperm count with doses of the female hormone progesterone - this month. Experts are confident that the treatment will be almost 100 per cent effective and side-effect free, and predict it could be on the market in three years." Don't forget there's similar work happening in various countries on this as well.

Anonymous User writes "Local 6 in Florida is reporting that a preschool forces five year old boys to wear dresses as punishment for "talking too much while watching TV." The female teachers humiliated several boys in front of their class. For all of the feminist hype about women being being more caring and nurturing, forgive me if I don't see it here. The DFC investigated and didn't lift a finger. But keep in mind, that's the Child Protective Service that literally looses children in their care. Anyway, I think everyone here, at least, sees thru the ulterior modivations. It has nothing to do with punishment, it's a deliberate attempt to feminize the boys according to feminidiot doctrine that gender doesn't exist."

Anonymous User writes "An article in the San Franicsco Chronicle newspaper targets the critics of boy-bashing T-shirts. The article implies that nobody would actually throw rocks at boys due to a T-shirt. For females, it mentions that there are issues for them such as female-bashing rap music and pressure to dress like hookers. Rush Limbaugh has his comments about this article."

Matt writes "DC Chapter of NCFM is sponsoring a mens' rights congress this summer, over Father's Day week-end. This will be a summit of sorts, intended to bring many different groups together to find ways men's rights activists can start interacting and working with one another on an on-going basis. We will find our strength in cooperation and numbers, and this is where it can begin.... bot ONLY if you are willing to make it happen!!
Please go to www.mensrights2004.com and register for the conference as soon as possible so we can make the appropriate conference-related logistical decisions in good time to accomodate attendees.

LSBeene writes "During a closed briefing on the Haiti crisis an African-American Conresswoman, who was opining that Bush's policy on Haiti was racist, said that Bush's representatives were: "A bunch of white men". A member of the committee, whom she was directly addressing and who was hispanic, told the Congresswoman he was offended by her racist comment. Her reply: "You all look alike to me."

Matt writes " At no time have I ever seen an article extolling women to stop being so uptight about things like the occasional sock here and there. And puhleeze, you think today's man doesn't do his share of the housework and more? Note that this article never mentions that men do most or all of the "handy" work in the average house. Somehow that isn't considered housework. And let's also not forget that there is "man clean" and "woman clean". If we are really seeking equality, there ought to be equal consideration to the standards of both parties, not just of the female.
Stuff like this is only more reason for men to eschew marriage... on top of all that legal stuff... :)"

hurkle writes "While we've been slapping our backs and congratulating ourselves on a big victory for men's activism, Todd Goldman has been busy capitalizing on the press generated by the "Boys Are Stupid" campaign. Check out the new game he has at their website: here How many boys can you hit with a rock? Please note the black eyes, bloody lips, and the like that appear when you play. Cute and silly as he claims? No way. Offensive? Oh yeah."

FutureDoc writes "St. Louis University School of Medicine is attempting to charter a student group [tentatively] called "American Men's Medical Association". The initiative is to offer male students (who are a statistical minority this year) the same benefits and representation that the women's group (AMWA) provides. There has been an incredible uproar as the meer proposal is "a slap in the face of [oppressed] women". It is likely that the group will never be allowed to be sanctioned; funny since educating about prostate cancer and the risks of heart disease in men are amongst the most pertinent topics in practical medicine; instead we will continue to support breast cancer (in women only) and try our best to insure that our female classmates are propelled ahead of us in the professional field through whatever means necessary."

Anonymous User writes "This time a 37 year old woman(and mother of 3) was given 2 years in prison for giving underaged boys sex, porno, and booze while hubby was at work. Her 39 year old friend also took part and got 4 years. They let kids as young as 12 drink at their "parties" Point of interest from story (quoting Prosecutor Daliah Weiss):
Predatory behavior necessitates prison time," she said. "Two women acting together -- it's unusual, but again predatory, just as it would be considered if it were a man. The fact that both of them were sentenced to prison says something. It's just not to be tolerated, period."

frank h writes "I don't usually spend a lot of time at Joe Farah's WND, as I have a rather low regard for him and his positions on gender equality. However, I did come across this second part of an article by Dennis Prager. It is actually a 2 part piece (which can be found here) on why women are exposing themselves through provocative dress, and it comes more or less in response to Nipplegate (Janet Jackson and her "exposition" during this year's Superbowl halftime show). I like his analysis, and if you read part 2, you'll note his position on sexual harassment laws and how they are so one-sided."

Thundercloud. writes "I know I probably seem hyper-sensitve to the subject of female on male violence in "entertainment". especialy when the violence is sexualized and in a sado-masochistic manner.
I recently posted an article about the movie "CATWOMAN" and it's use of a 'dominatrix' type character, and aired my concernes on the matter. But perhaps I've been a bit to hasty in my concern over the polifferation of this image.
Case in point. The movie "EURO-TRIP" was released this past friday. It boasted of scenes with Lucy Lawless as, (what else?) a Dominatrix and a TEEN AGED boy in (What else?) bondage.
Well, according to Yahoo news the movie BOMBED.
If, when "CATWOMAN" is released the male audience again rejects this "Dominatrix-male victim" scenerio, perhaps I'll back off the subject a bit.
Perhaps...,"
