Hmmm. I dunno about you, but I'm starting to get the feeling the IWF values the nearest man's uses more than his characteristics. For independant women, they sure do glorify the traditional man, but not the traditional woman? if there was ever going to be a universal slogan for this kind of thing, it would have to be "No reciprocity? no way!" Or perhaps "You can't have it both ways baybee!" as a wise man once said.

At this point I wouldn't have kids to save my own bloody life. Look at this will you. Apparently, in CA anyway, a mother can abandon a baby anyplace and as long as she calls for pick-up, it's OK. If a man did that, he'd be toast.

Economist R. Mark Rogers of Economic Consulting wrote a concise and insightful rebuttal of the NH Child Support Guidelines in PDF format. Not only are the guidelines full of inconsistencies and unfair burdens (mostly to the disadvantage of the non-custodial parent), but it turns out that the current NH guidelines do not even use the sliding percentage of income scale that the NH DHHS recommended, but instead are based on a fixed percentage of income with no cap. At only 11 pages, this document is a quick read and I hope will it inspire others to investigate child support guidelines in other states and form rebuttal strategies.

from the horse's....ah....mouth is Judge D. Michael "Mickey" Foellger who gained 15 minutes of fame by ordering a man to be sterilized or go to jail for not being able to pay child support.

Notice how he always refers to men's sexual indescretion in cases he cites but never the women's. Also, he never acknowledges that women unlike men can abort their parental responsiblities before the child is born.

Is this really so unexpected? The US Supreme Court dismissed the case of the father who sued the school district of the school his daughter was attending to allow her not to recite the Pledge of Allegiance using "under God". Regardless of whether or not you think the pledge should include that phrase, the point here is that the SC has affirmed what many of us already know either by experience or previous studies: fathers lack standing to make decisions for their kids. Note that the father in this case is in a custody battle with his ex-wife, the mother of his children. The SC decided he didn't have "sufficient custody" to give him standing. That he brought them as they are into the world apparently is not enough to give him standing.

You can bet your next paycheck that if a mom had brought the suit, they would not have dismissed it for that reason. Perhaps another, but not for that one.

Finally, a woman recieves jailtime for falsely accusing someone of rape. They even mentioned her name in the article! The 1 year sentence was awfully light, but it's a start.
