NextEntity writes "These people aren't even trying to deny the cruel and unusual punishment anymore. While I'm all for shock tactics if they work to turn around young kids lives, threatening them with man on man rape in a federal prison by a judge whom acknowledges this goes on seems over the top. Remember rape is only bad if someone without a penis is involved boys, otherwise its funny as a kick in the groin.

Anonymous User writes "Someone has done a listing of movies where men are hit in a certain sensitive area by females. As of this date, there are 1,560 movies listed. Some of the descriptions seem to almost take pleasure in what happens. On the other hand, this could serve as an instance of how pervasive male groin attacks are in movies (compare it to equivalent attacks on females.) Of course, it is easy to find amusement from something as long as it happens to someone else."

YahooNews reports here that Andre Rison is to be arrested for failure to pay C/S payments.
Of course if his ex denies him visitation, that's just fine, though.

Anonymous User writes "OK, I guess I knew that India is conservative in many respects, but wow, check this out!
BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday advocated the need for a regulatory body "to stop distortion of women's image in society."
"In the name of entertainment, it is despicable the way women are portrayed in the so-called popular primetime soap operas," the deputy leader of Rajya Sabha said
... She said women are increasingly shown as conspirators and home breakers in these soaps and serials, causing a negative impact on the society, particularly children.
"During my tenure as the Information and Broadcasting Minister I took off the air many ads that were offensive to women," she said, stressing immediate need for a body to screen and monitor the serials.
Swaraj said she had raised in Parliament the issue of formation of a broadcasting regulatory authority as a follow up of the Convergence Bill she introduced during her tenure.
If nothing else, this is more proof that ultra conservatives and feminists are reading from the same hymn sheet.
Thank the Lord that the West isn't this bad .... lol"

mens_issues writes "Expedia.com has a commercial in which a man and his wife are discussing vacation plans. The man is looking up places to see in New York on his laptop. The wife asks if they would be able to see a play called Magique. The man imagines himself at the play, where the actors strip off his shirt and paint a goofy face on his chest. The man then suggests an alternative event.

In another article in India however a police constable who has been regularly beaten by his wife is given advice on how to "Please" his wife so that she will hit him less. Different strokes for Different Genders I guess"

I almost always enjoy FredOnEverything. Quite often, the guy hammers the nail smack dabby on the noggin, and I particularly enjoyed this piece.
Fred makes a distinction between many US women and oh-so-many women of Mexico by saying about relationships with Mexicanas, "You don’t marry a hundred pounds of irrational anger looking for an excuse." Just tonight I was in the hot tub, at the gym where I work out. A woman sat next to me (it was somewhat crowded). I was stretching, pulling my left knee up toward my chest, when a large guy walked past me as he headed out. He caused a current that knocked me off balance and almost pushed my left arm against the woman's right tit. All of a sudden, I found myself struggling so that I wouldn't make contact with her. I knew I was facing a possible decade or more in prison. I sincerely wished she wasn't part of my universe.
Anyway, it seems the man in Mexico may have fallen in love.

this is not equality writes "The GOP is asking for individual input for the party platform in 2004. This year, for the first time, suggestions given online may be included in the final document.
Anyone can logon to the web site (here) and participate in the platform process.
We need to tell the Republicans that Men's Issues are important. If we don't make an effort, we can only blame ourselves.
Please help form the GOP platform in 2004. Visit the website and tell them that we are fed up."

CJ writes "The same state supreme court (MA) that ruled that the unique institution of heterosexual marriage violated the rights of gays/lesbians, and also denies the natural parental rights of fathers to be involved in their own children’s lives with custodial privileges - today ruled that the right for widespread public access of level three sex offender information on the internet including pictures, names and addresses is “an 'apt fit' to contemporary life.” This was a unanimous decision (7-0) with the understanding that this ruling violated the liberty and privacy rights of a person accused and found guilty of a Level 3 sex crime (and who also served their sentence). It was also noted and accepted that by publishing this information could lead to harassment or even vigilantism. Rulings like this open the doors for the further dilution of liberty and privacy rights of citizens as precedent has been set, and socio-political interest groups have been empowered by this decision. For issues relating to gender, father rights and male citizenship and liberty, this is a milestone ruling as it will likely start trickling down into lower courts. This is not an argument to protect criminals, but rather a statement concerning "what next?" An apt quote: "In Germany the Nazis first came for the Communists and I didn't object because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't object because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't object because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't object because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me." Article
