Major progress for shared custodial rights in MA!

CJ writes "I have to admit I was shocked to see the Boston Globe cover a pro-father issue, but progress can not be denied as the Mass fatherhood Coalition got a nonbinding question that will appear on ballots in 37 legislative districts this November asks voters if they support joint custody of children after divorce, unless one parent is deemed unfit or both agree otherwise. ''It's like putting up guardrails on the road of marriage,'' said Mike O'Neil, co-chairman of the Fatherhood Coalition, a statewide group that has about 3,000 members. ''We just want protection of our rights.'' Lets applaud Mike Franco for his efforts in Mass where men's rights have been brutalized for decades.

DSS Used to Abuse Children

The_Beedle writes "Two teenage girls in Australia ran away from DSS custody after being abducted from their home where they had been living with their father. Despite the girls choice to live with their father, and their claims of his innocence, DSS is insisting they not have any contact with him.

They haven't even bothered to tell the father that his children are on the run : "The girls' father, who is fighting the protection orders, said he had not been advised by the department that his daughters had absconded from care." News.com.au link"

Lesbian not required to pay child support

CJ writes "MA Supreme Court has a history of contradictory and odd rulings. In this case a woman who agreed to have a child with her lesbian partner cannot be forced to pay child support, the state's highest court ruled Wednesday. Because the defendant is not a parent under any of the statutory provisions enacted to establish parenthood, she has no duty to support the child financially, and she may not be ordered to pay child support,'' I honestly think the court would have ruled differently if this had been a man involved. Also, if this court agrees homosexual marriages should be like normal marriage arrangements, this is a highly contradictory ruling. Article

Teflon Military Women

Benjamin Adam Studtmann writes "The American military machine is not immune to the gender-based poisons in our society. Here we have the short, sour, and heartripping story of a Lieutenant Colonel Williams. Lt. Col. Williams had entirely consensual, comprehensively documented sex with two female soldiers, one an NCO. He was instantly court-martialed in disgrace, and sentenced to seven months of good hard prison time. His girlfriends? Not a single black mark on their records -- they were let off scot-free. Why? Well, they were women, weren't they? On the same site, one can also read just how well PFC Jessica Lynch is doing in the midst of all her personally generated confusion and controversy.Military women seem to be Teflon -- s**t just won't stick!

Seconds after I typed that, I found this. I'd say 'enjoy', but I doubt that applies here. If you don't have time to read the story, the summary is simple: Male = dishonorable, female = honorable. Just like in civilian life! Oh, and did I mention she suddenly decided months after landing in hot water that she was raped? Did I mention that this was clearly a steaming load? The article ends by telling us that this poor, suffering, flower of womanhood avoided 26 years in pound-me-in-the-*** military prison because the fragile doe was suffering from attention deficit disorder and post-traumatic stress. Naturally I'm fighting back the urge to send the traumatized little girl a fruit basket out of sheer pity and sympathy."

NH Men's Commission Gets New Member

I'm honored to announce that I have been recently appointed to serve on the NH Commission on the Status of Men. Commissioner Tony Raymond, a Police Chief from Plymouth, NH, resigned from the Commission earlier this summer due to family and time constraints. Governor Craig Benson then nominated me on July 28 and the Executive Council unanimously approved the nomination on August 18. I am excited to be able to serve on the Commission as an official member, and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead. Please see the Read More section for more info, and a request for assistance.

Male homosexuality 3 1/2 times more damaging to Zanzibar than female homosexuality

Benjamin Adam Studtmann writes "The New Feminine Order continues its worldwide spread. In Zanzibar, they have freshly outlawed homosexual sex. If you are a woman, the maximum is seven years. If you are a man, the penalty is 25 years. No explanation is really given for this, other than it will "really improve the country"."

Woman calls for men to stand up for ourselves and our rights

After apparently watching one more episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond" than she could stand, Kerry Marsala has written an article challenging men to stand up for ourselves.

"So the real question is: Are you A Man or just a male sperm with fecundating fluid that enjoys being kicked in the groin?"

Child custody laws poised for change

Wendy McElroy writes on the current battle over California SB170, the bill which attempted to remove the rights of non-custodial parents in move away cases. The article gives informative details of some of the important cout rulings involved as well as providing the history of the bill itself, showing us why "SB 730 had the appearance of legislation being sneaked in through the back door."

Two Women Seduce, Then Stab 13 Times In The Groin

Benjamin Adam Studtmann writes "My day begins with this testament to the peaceful, spiritual, saintly purity of the double-X chromosome. Note the coordination and preplanning that went into the attack, and note their motivation, the motivation for all too many instances of female violence: not self-defense, but money. Lots of money.

It is a cliched rhetorical question, but how would this story be reported differently if two young strong black men, armed with butcher knives and a hammer, had tag-teamed stabbing a middle-aged woman 13 times in the groin? Would they be hung, drawn, quartered, burned alive, or all of the above, before he even made it to trial? And how many pages of text would we see testifying to the heroic strength and character of a female victim? Whereas here, the victim is flatly portrayed as just an older man looking for sex, and no further mention is made of him aside from his role as a female punching bag."

Women Behaving Badly Because Of Men

Benjamin Adam Studtmann writes "Intially I was quite intrigued by this article that explores why women turn so readily on other women in work / social situations...until I discovered the terrible secret that it was all men's fault! Yes, you see, the world outside the bedroom is apparently so "universally misogynistic" that women are required to behave "like men", i.e., cruelly. When men behave badly, it is our fault. When women behave badly, it is our fault. Get it?"

For Jesus' Sake, Smash: The Days And Nights Of Ca

Hysterically bluntly written, factual, informative, and so funny it hurts. Please, please, please read to get a fascinatingly frank view of historic feminism and activism. Deadbeat Dad Hypocrite

Dittohd writes "This American guy who lives in Mexico and married a Mexican woman has written articles criticizing "thousands of Mexican men (who) use emigration to abandon their wives and children," calling them "deadbeat dads", yet he repeatedly reenlists in the U.S. National Guard after marrying and having children, knowingly setting himself and his family up for exactly what just happened to him/them. Now he's been Called to Fight in Iraq (duh!) and is complaining about not having U.S. law to protect his job while he's gone so that he can come back to that same job when (and if) he makes it back. Plus he complains that his family has now lost the health insurance his previous employer provided.

Isn't this guy every bit a "deadbeat dad" as all the other men he criticizes or what? Was he putting his family and children first and foremost each time he reenlisted in the National Guard or wasn't he selfishly putting his family at risk in return for the few extra dollars he received from the U.S. Government for staying in and repeatedly reenlisting in the Guard?

What a loser!"

Paternity Fraud Battle in CA

Marc writes "Here is a Washington Times article about the turmoil in California over the Navarro case. Manuel Navarro got his paternity fraud case overturned in a heroic decision by the 2nd District Court of Appeal. But Child Support Services is asking the CA Supreme Court to depublish Navarro, saying it is causing confusion in the courts (which is really nonsense). Both sides are submitting amicus letters to the California Supreme Court."

Eerily Familiar?

Dittohd writes "Does this sound a bit familiar? Like the woman who is accusing Kobe Bryant of rape? Sex with a lot of men... then suddenly accuses one or more of rape? The meat is in paragraphs 3 and 4. Sick! Sick! Sick! Do we need some serious, new laws to protect men against these false accusations or what?"
