- DADS' GROUP PUSHES FOR FAIRNESS IN CUSTODY LAWS

BOSTON - Advocates for divorced fathers say they won their first fight by convincing voters that shared custody of children is a good idea.
Now, they hope to win over the state Legislature.
On Election Day, voters approved a non-binding question backed by Fathers & Families, seeking to reform custody laws. "This is a great step in the right direction for kids," said Ned Holstein, president of the nonprofit advocacy group. "We now have both the voters and
the researchers agreeing that the best thing for children is spending a lot of time with both parents."
Holstein and Garry said they will press to ensure family courts enter divorce proceedings under the assumption both parents want and are entitled to shared legal and physical custody."

AngryMan writes "In Britain during WWI groups of feminists, including the great Pankhursts, used public humiliation to coerce men into enlisting in the army by presenting them with white feathers, a symbol of cowardice. Next time you hear a feminist complain about male aggression don't forget to remind her of this. Articles here and here."

Do my eyes deceive me? The Washington Post's web site home page as of this writing has a large link to this story. I decided to post this under "Media" because while of course the story content is very significant, we all know women murdering their own kids is not new. However the Post putting link to such a story on its home page sure is.

thea writes "CNN's website reports on a woman confessing to murdering her husband and getting rid of his body in a much similar and gruesome form of a serial killer on her deathbed to one of her children. Would it have made any difference had she lived and been arrested? Or would she have gotten a slap on the wrist with a "distraught" defense, then a book and movie deal? Oh and don't forget an interview with Oprah and ABC."

By the day, the feminist delusion that females are victims and males are evil continues to collapse. Here's commentary on the growing awareness of sexual abuse of children by females. Now I wish they'd more frequently address the often hidden and ignored violent abuse of children by women.

Here's more info and commentary on the growing baby bust in developed nations. The writer comments that women are having fewer children because: "Women are putting off childbirth, either for financial reasons or because they want to establish their careers first. High house prices have made it impossible for many couples of child-bearing age to afford a home large enough in which to bring up a family." In typical fashion, the author doesn't mention the wide scale destruction of male-female relations as a direct result of feminism. He also avoids mention of any male-specific reasons for avoiding parenthood. The explosion in divorce rates, the systematic separation of many fathers from their children, the high rate of paternity fraud, the financial exploitation of fathers after divorce, and the associated and growing marriage strike (which may well be occuring in Australia as it is in the US) fail to warrent his attention.

Kavius writes "I heard a radio ad this morning sponsored by the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters (http://www.acws.ca).
The ad features a 911 call of a little girl crying asking for help while her parent fight in the background. Right at the end of the ad, the little girls screams "DON'T HIT MY MOMMY!".
In my opinon, this was reasonable (difficult to listen too, but reasonable), until the little girl screamed those words. Unless the ACWS has the intention of running similar ads where the father is the victim (which would not make sense since they are a Women's group) these ads are damaging.
I have written a letter to both Country 105 (who played the advertisement: http://www.country105.com), and the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters, indicating that I consider the ad to be inflamitory and damaging to men's reputations who may be the victims of domestic violence.
I was not impressed the response from the radio station and am still waiting on a response from the ACWS. I'll post that as a comment."

AngryMan writes "Britain has been in the grip of a child-abuse witch-hunt since the mid-1980s. As a result, innocent men have gone to prison and many children have been removed from their families unnecessarily. This article traces the history of the sorry affair, and notes that feminists have played a significant role in stirring up the hysteria. Also see the excellent site of writer Richard Webster."

This story made it to the front page of cnn.com, but only as an off-link. Well, sometimes, it does happen that these kinds of stories are not totally buried on page G67. Note she had a history of child abuse and neglect but that wasn't enough to get her custody of these children called into question; apprently it isn't a priority to save the lives of children, particularly when they are male and when the abuser is their "mother".

Steven Brown writes "A 29 year old woman called Tammy Imre has 'sex' with an eight year old boy!
What's the betting she doesn't get sent to prison? I'm sure she'll be declared 'insane' and given three months in a hospital. If the sexes were reversed of course, the man would be facing life behind bars."
