Anonymous User writes:"Mistreatment and Harassment of Elders (Elder Abuse) in India
by Sumanth
Elder abuse, the mistreatment and torture of of older people, though a manifestation of the timeless phenomenon of inter-personal violence is prevalent in India. Still, there is no systematic collection of statistics or prevalence studies, crime records, journalistic reports, social welfare records and small scale studies to provide evidence on existence of abuse, neglect and financial exploitation of elders.
This is an extremely sorry state of affairs. We all will grow old sooner or later. Imagine, being mistreated, verbally abused, denied proper food, proper mediaction and care by younger members of family. Older people are indeed in a very helpless situation with eroding social values system in India. We all must have come across at least one or two cases of elder abuse or mistreatment in our neighbourhood."

Ray Blumhorst writes "A Long Days Journey into Hopelessness
(Happy Disenfranchised Father's Day)
"I heard the news again today," and men are still maligned in every blurb. Even in the stories coming from people sympathetic to the plights and rights of men, the depressing details of male realities leaves one with a sinking feeling in his soul. If you read the propaganda from the gender feminists and their toady politicians, and newscasters, the pain in your stomach leaves you curled up in a knot. It’s fashionable to batter men, then ignore the whole lot."

Underage writes "Great news everyone. A man by the name of Jon Scieszka has made a site in honour of helping boys to read. On the site he lists a few reasons why boys fall behind in reading, and how you can help improve the issue. Very male-friendly from what I've noticed. Anyway, I think we should all be happy about this because this is great news, so take a look at Jon's site right here."

Ray writes "After the tragic news that some of our elected buffons have again proposed to fund the hate war against men known as VAWA, this article is refreshing in its honesty for putting the truth about VAWA in clear persepective."

Rob writes "A 12 year old girl has appeared in court charged with attempting to hang a 5 year old boy. True to form, she blamed 5 other children for the crime who were put through the trauma of being detained and questioned. The feminists start them young now don't they? Read it here."

LSBeene writes "A woman who bit, scratched, punched, kicked, and then tried to maim her fiance by crushing his testicles got 30 days in jail. When the police arrived she was so violent that she tried to BLIND one of the police officers. In my opinion that's the ONLY reason she got the 30 days. The tone of the article is light hearted, has little depth, is vague in what she was charged with, and gives NO time to her victims point of view.
I wrote them a letter - maybe some of you could do the same. With VAWA looming it's stories like this that make our case that the language of this sexist bill needs to address women's brutality (with impunity) towards men. - Steven"

Indiana Jones writes "National Men's Health Week got coverage from over 10 news sites around the globe. Here's one from Yahoo.
Senator Biden also introduced the VAWA yesterday without a SINGLE WORD on men. In fact, it is even more gender-specific (for women) than last time. I'm afraid that it's going to pass, nearly all of those kind of re-authorization bills passes. Senator Biden had the most complaints, posts, and protests about male DV victims too."

MANN administrators received the following:
Dear men and women,
Tesco, the UK's largest supermarket, has chosen to deploy male-bashing
imagery on the cover of its (free) Tesco Magazine May/June, 2005 edition; A woman is pushing a man backwards off a pier in an act of
unprovoked relational and physical aggression. The female model is smiling
in a righteous manner, whilst the male model is smiling in an embarrassed,
face-saving manner.

Roy writes "A Press Release from Joseph Biden’s (D-DE) office yesterday announces the bill to reauthorize and expand funding for the Violence Against Women Act. Obviously there is no mention in the bill about male victims of DV. In cleverly worded language, the bill seeks to increase funding while "saving money." Special goals include more anti-boy "education" in our schools, mandating DV "home visitations," making employers pay for female’s leave-from-work due to alleged DV, requiring doctor’s to interrogate patients about DV, and expanding the hysteria about the non-existent campus rape crisis. A section-by-section summary of the bill is at –

CJ writes "This is very important information to understand. Restraining orders which are handled out in MA in almost every divorce case in MA, makes the "victim" of "abuse" (read woman) eligible for police protection, police transportation, free social services, simplified filing forms, free and unlimited access to the courts, immunity from perjury, a comprehensive recital and listing of her "rights" under Chapter 209A, the children from her relationship with the accused, and the property and salary of the accused, among other perks."

Roy writes "The two-month old Feminist Initiative (F.I., a new political party in Sweden), has published its "manifesto," which proclaims - "gender politics have hitherto been based on a view of equality as a non-zero sum game, meaning that women's conditions can improve without affecting those of men. F.I. builds its politics upon an analysis, which makes it clear that women's subordination results from the privileging of men. Therefore, men must agree to relinquish their privileges... F.I formulates a politics, which in every area and aspect of life poses a challenge to patriarchy. We anticipate a large degree of resistance, but expect an even larger and stronger feminist desire for change."

Ray Blumhorst writes "HOW CAN WE COACH LITTLE GIRLS INTO WOMEN
WHO AREN’T MALE VILIFYING ABUSERS?
I was walking through the park today on my way to pick up my car from the mechanic. It’s about a mile, and the mechanic is in a rather “industrial” part of town so I dressed in blue jeans and a denim shirt so I would be less likely to get mugged. I walked by the new gymnasium the City of Los Angeles is building and noticed that somebody had torched the place, since the last time I was in the park about a week ago. As I got to the jogging track I noticed hundreds of elementary school kids playing soccer on the big field, while their parents looked on. One Mom gave me a rather disapproving glance as I walked by. I guess I wasn’t properly attired to be walking on the jogging track in her book, or maybe she’s just learned from the gender feminist influence in our society to look at all men as potential rapists and child molesters."

Luek writes "From misandric Britain of all places!
A wife and mother who reported being raped by two men to coverup her one night stand was sentenced to a year in prison.
Very encouraging since it did happen in Britain. Usually, the drill there is to order probation and mental counseling."

The Winston-Salem Journal recently reported on a domestic violence mentoring program for boys. If it's a good thing to teach boys that violence against women is unacceptable, one would think it should also be a good thing to teach girls that violence against men is unacceptable. Surely something is needed to counter the images Hollywood bombards us with showing women self-righteously hitting men, sometimes for a slight insult, sometimes for no reason at all.

Dittohd writes "Martha Burk's book has garnered four 5-star reviews on Amazon.com so far. Look under "Product Details". Ugh!! I just bought the book used and plan to give it a proper review as soon as I finish it. For anyone here who feels so inclined to also add their two cents in the form of a proper review, I suggest buying the book used so as to not put any additional money into this feminazi's pocketbook or raise her Amazon.com number-sold rating. Here are two possibilities: Half.com and Amazon.com. Your local public library is also always a possibility. If you do review the book, please keep it calm, reasoned, and factual so others don't quickly write you off as a wacko from the other side.
By the way, I just purchased Tom Ellis' book, "Rantings of a Single Male" and started reading and really enjoying it last night. Got Warren Farrell's latest book, "Why Men Earn More" along with it and it looks really top notch, including important information to anyone looking to start or change their career and not quite sure where the money is."
