Help from Hollywood?: Alec Baldwin Wants Custody Battle Book to Help Desperate Dads

bulldogo.1 writes "Good to see public identities doing things that bring the plight of fathers into the media. As more and more men like Baldwin or are put throught the divorce and custody circus, the more men's rights will be in the public forum. They have the fame and financial resources to help men's plight. Sadly, it's the only way that people will sit up and listen. Maybe Baldwin would be interested in doing a movie that tells the real story. Story here."

Granny got her gun...

MR writes " Man Fatally Shot by Ex-Wife's Grandmother

"A man picking up his young son for a supervised court visit was shot twice at point-blank range by the boy's 81-year-old great-grandmother and died of his injuries, police said.

Alex Reyes, 26, was shot Saturday while picking up his 18-month-old son, said Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

"There was no argument," he said. 'She just pulled the gun out and started firing.'"

Marriage in U.K. Soon to Mean Lifetime Wage Extortion

Roy writes "This piece linked from Angry Harry's web site covers a critically important court case in Britain that will determine whether a divorcing man will be obligated to provide a percentage of his future (post-divorce) earnings to his ex-wife. He already must give her 50% of everything acquired during the marriage. Excerpt:

'This will be argued on the grounds that his money-making potential should be treated as an income-yielding asset that Kenneth could not have built up without the contribution of Julia in building the home and looking after the children. Kenneth McFarlane is senior tax partner at the accountants Deloitte, earning more than £750,000 a year, and his marriage to Julia lasted more than 16 years. She gave up her career as a solicitor with a City firm to look after their children.
James Pirrie, a solicitor with Family Law in Partnership, who is acting for Julia McFarlane, said: "The fruits of the partnership should be shared equally. One of the things created by a marriage is an earning capacity.'"

School Stands by Falsely-Accused Aide

Marc A. writes "Link here. Excerpt:

'Fla. School Stands by Aide Hit by Father

BRADENTON, Fla. — A teenager who accused a teacher's aide of molesting her _ prompting the girl's father to march into school and punch the man in the face _ made up the story, officials said.

School surveillance cameras show the aide was not even in the room when the 15-year-old said she was touched inappropriately, said Lakewood Ranch High School Superintendent Roger Dearing.'

Pregnant Mother of Fourteen Arrested for Abuse and Neglect

So I wonder how this will get spinned into *her* being a victim? What will it be, institutional dereliction perhaps or maybe, just maybe... it's all their father's (or fathers') fault!

"Institutionally Racist"? Or is it more like "Institutionally Sexist"?

The entire matter of the sexes of the two young victims in this case has been entirely ignored. Had the victims been boys of any ethnic background, I have no doubt the story would not have made headlines in the UK, and wouldn't have here in the US either... or Germany, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Belgium, or... you get the idea.

Amazing the level of denial going on here, isn't it?

Pilots are worth the same as stewardesses?

RandomMan writes "According to this recent decision here in Canada, highly trained and experienced commercial pilots and skilled aircraft mechanics should not be paid more than women who spend most of their time handing out peanuts, serving lousy food, scowling at passengers and forcing males from their pre-assigned seats next to unaccompanied children (story here). According to this same logic, an unskilled cleaner working at a computer company should be able to sue for discrimination because she makes less than an electrical engineer, programmer or even the CEO. How does working for the "same organization in the same business" make everyone's work equally valuable? Would male cabin crews expect to be paid as much as the pilots or mechanics? Should female orderlies be paid as much as male surgeons?"

Female Wrestler Arrested as Most-Wanted Murderer in Mexico

It seems the most-wanted serial killer in Mexico is believed to be a female wrestler. Read it here. All the victims also appear to have been old women. Innocent until proven guilty, I say, so wait and see what happens. Of interest to those who wonder about "gender blinders," look at the denial in action:

'Mexico City prosecutors said fingerprint evidence linked Ms Barraza to at least 10 murders carried out in recent years. She was arrested at the scene of the killing of 82-year-old Ana Maria Reyes on Wednesday in the Venustiano Carranza area of the capital.

After reports that a woman had carried out the killings, police suspected a man in woman's clothes.'

"I wish I had killed him. I really do hate him." - Welsh Woman Assaults Boyfriend over Job-Seeking

Steven Brown writes "So what kind of sentence would a man have got if he'd assaulted his girlfriend like this? Excerpt:

'The argument started about their income. Thomas ripped off Mr Smith's glasses and started punching him to the face.

.

.

.

'She admitted inflicting actual bodily harm and was given a two-year community rehabilitation order.'

I'm sure it wouldn't have been this: 'a two-year community rehabilitation order'.

Sickening."

U.S. Military Releases Five Iraqi Women

Anonymous User writes "We DON'T negotiate with terrorists UNLESS a woman is the hostage. This is ABSOLUTE PROOF of a complete disregard for men's lives (how many male hostages and soldiers who were brutally murdered could have been saved if we gave in to the terrorist's demands?) over that of woman. I am left speechless..."

Schoolboy's Bias Suit

Return of the King writes "A Milton, MA High School senior has filed a federal discrimination suit, saying his school is unfair to boys. Excerpt:

'At Milton High School, girls outnumber boys by almost 2 to 1 on the honor roll. In Advanced Placement classes, almost 60 percent of the students are female.

It's not that girls are smarter than boys, said Doug Anglin, a 17-year-old senior at the high school.

Girls are outperforming boys because the school system favors them, said Anglin, who has filed a federal civil rights complaint contending that his school discriminates against boys.

Among Anglin's allegations: Girls face fewer restrictions from teachers, like being able to wander the hallways without passes, and girls are rewarded for abiding by the rules, while boys' more rebellious ways are punished.'"

AAUW Releases Latest Foolishness on "Sexual Harrassment" on College Campuses

This story speaks for itself. "Boys in crisis" hits the media, followed immediately by a story regarding how things are so tough for the girls because of the way
those nasty boys are. Answer? Get those boys off campus, of course!

Shortly, I predict you will see very few men on college campuses, thanks to the likes of the AAUW and their feminist friends and sympathizers. Men with higher educations will be the exception (by 10%), not the rule, and we all will have to live with the consequences.

Shocking Video of Woman Abusing Boy

Sumanth writes "Blogged:

Women who abuse male kids create probable criminals of future.

Male kids who are tortured by women (mothers, aunts, sisters, maid servants) in their infancy, grow up with sub-conscious post traumatic stress, which makes them violent towards women (if they get cornered by women)."

US Army Characterized as "Thin Green Line"

This story is important because whether the report is accepted or not publicly by the government for what it says, eventually any shortfall in the supply of troops to fight for whatever reasons for the United States or its perceived interests will have to be "augmented" in a "cost-effective" manner. Anyone who still thinks that the draft is not on the table, think again. Note the results for the poll associated with the article, too. As of this writing, "Bring back the draft" is neck-and-neck for the lead among the responses.

So what does this story have to do with men's rights or interests directly as such, you ask? Well, suppose men and women would be drafted in proportion to their population and sent into combat also in proportion? Not any time soon.
