Anonymous User writes "This crap made me cancel my LA Times subscription. This elitist piece of trash dictates to women on what they should be from her ivory tower. I would be really curious where she got her money from... perhaps her first husband?
EXCERPT: 'Never do yourself what you can pay someone else to do, because that then frees you up to do what you're good at," said Hirshman of housework. "When workmen come to my house and say, 'So what's the matter with the lamp?' I say, 'OK, you stand up in front of a class of 200 people and explain to them about Plato, and I will figure out what's wrong with the lamp...For many years she was a union side labor lawyer, and bargaining in marriage plays a big role in Hirshman's philosophy. For example: "You want more children?" she said a woman could say to her husband, "Then start doing the laundry."'

Roy writes "This one's so over the top it begs belief! An Australian grandmother who skinned and cooked her de facto husband will plead with a court to overturn her life sentence - because she is a woman. The mother of four pleaded guilty to murder after hubby's body was found on the floor of his Aberdeen home in the Hunter Valley in 2000. She worked as a slicer and packer at Aberdeen Abattoir and her lover had been carefully skinned and his skin hung on a meat hook in a doorway at the house. His decapitated head was found in a pot on the stove. The table had been laid for dinner with name cards for Mr Price's three children and parts of his buttocks cooked and served up with vegetables and gravy on dinner plates. Her solicitor refused to comment on the grounds of her appeal, due to be heard this week, but it is understood it involves innovative grounds, including that she is a woman."

Return of the King writes "A CEO is forced to resign after he invited a fellow female executive to accompany him on his sailboat and shared frustrations about his marriage with her. This netted Georgina Fisk, the accuser, (now corporate swindler) $1.14 million to settle a sexual harassment case which can not be empirically proven in a court of law. Feminist jurisprudence is running rampant, time to fix a broken system."

This year we begin to reform the Violence
Against Women Act, to stop the injustices, to protect our families, and to save
our children.
The name of our campaign is “Truth and
Consequences: Election 2006.” Our objective is simple: To meet with
candidates in every single district around the country, explain the abuses of
VAWA, and ask for their support to request Congressional hearings right after
the November 7 election.

I am going to give a heads-up for you all before reading this column in the Waco Tribune. The columnist, one Rowland Nethaway, is stating categorically and in all seriousness that it's just fine, if not also perfectly fair, for boys to be left behind in education, drugged to keep them "calm", etc. He also repeats a few feminist myths such as the "Rule of Thumb" myth which has been debunked repeatedly. Be forewarned, some of you may find this article so infuriating you will want to do violence to the computer monitor in front of you.
Well now that I have prepped you for it, I want to encourage everyone to write him at RNethaway-at-wacotrib.com, discussing your opinion of his essay.

You know, I wasn't sure whether to post this link or not. She is a great pro IRL driver; there is no reason at all for her to start peddling her femaleness/looks as a commodity in this fashion.
Next time a feminist tells you women do this sort of thing because "they have to", send them the link. 'Danica the Pro Racer' had absolutely no reason, except perhaps vanity or insecurity, to start being being 'Danica the SI Model'. Sad, really.

Anonymous User writes "Looks like Andrea Yates will get her second go at pleading insanity due to postpartum depression. Another classic example of women using their femaleness as an excuse for their criminal behavior. They wouldn't do it if men weren't so gullible as to buy this bunk.
'(CourtTV) -- For the second time since Andrea Yates drowned her five children in a bathtub, her lawyers will attempt to convince a jury she was legally insane when she did the unthinkable.
With its guilty verdict in 2002, a jury in Houston, Texas, seemed to reject defense arguments that a history of mental illness compounded by postpartum depression drove Yates to drown four sons and a daughter, ages six months to seven years.'"

Roy writes "In yet another stunning illogical about-face, NOW argues that single-sex schools cannot be allowed. The Michigan Senate has passed a bill to allow single-sex schools, but Kim Gandy proclaims – "We strongly oppose these bills because the separation of boys and girls, and the underlying (and false) assumption that girls and boys are so different that they shouldn't even be educated together, introduces harmful gender stereotypes into public education... Contrary to what supporters are saying, research does not show that gender is an accurate, consistent, or even useful determinant of educational needs." Gosh, did I misinterpret the last twenty years of the "girl’s educational crisis" that was at the forefront of feminism’s protests? And, now that 57% of college students are female, did I miss something else in the alleged "harmful gender stereotypes?" NOW is a priceless exemplar of feminist integrity."

Return of the King writes "A female youth counselor vanishes after allegations that she was having a relationship with a minor she met at a school where she worked - and the newspaper and police call HER missing and have not brought charges against her. She has been spotted thousands of miles away from her home state with the young male student. Can you imagine what would happen if the genders were reversed? The whole nation would be hearing about it every minute of the day. This woman has received a highly sympathetic handling of her crimes. It is time to dismantle the feminist poisoning of this nation's police. Excerpt:
'At least two witnesses reported seeing 8-year-old Brennan Malone with his mother, Jennifer Malone, and 16-year-old Christopher Cole.
Police Chief Gwen Deurell said Saturday she believes these are two solid leads that place them in the Tampa area late Friday...
...
Police this week began a nationwide search for Brennan, his mother, 32, and Cole, the teenage boy she is believed to be involved with.'"

They're not just for Tokyo anymore! This article is a lovely entree into establishing them right here in America.
Maybe they'll add entire women-only subway lines, too. They'll hit all the major stops plus new ones at all the women-only gyms, banks, spas, etc. that are both already here and on the way!

AFG writes "Continuing her assault on radical feminism and the family courts, the National Post's Barbara Kay writes about how it is men who suffer the most after divorce due to feminist ideology influencing Canada's judicial and political circles. Last week, Kay was one of two writers who lambasted the one-sided view of domestic violence in Canada (among other gender related issues), and next week, she will offer solutions to fix the problem. Excerpt:
'In fact, non-custodial fathers' loss of their children causes them fathomless anguish. Herein lies a paradox: We know that fatherlessness is the single biggest predictor of criminality for boys, and low self-esteem for girls, leading to a variety of social failures. Nevertheless, no significant swell of political will has yet materialized to bring more balance into post-separation childcare.'"

Michael_NC writes "A court rules against the father for not filing an affidavit to legimate a child after the mother lied to him and told him she had a miscarriage. He had previously did all he could for the mother and upcoming child until the lie.
'RALEIGH - A biological father should lose his parental rights because he did not establish himself as a caregiver, even though the mother deceived the man by claiming she had a miscarriage, the state Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday.'"

Return of the King writes "The U.S. Supreme Court made it easier on Thursday for an employer to be held liable for money damages when a worker has been 'retaliated' against after a discrimination complaint.
This ruling means that anytime a woman alleges any type of harassment, then ANY action afterward by the company - even years later (i.e. if she fails to show up for work and is penalized, if her job responsibilities EVER change, if her title changes, if she used to file in cabinet A and now files in cabinet B ...ANYTHING... then she is now a victim of the employer and can sue for damages).
It should be of no surprise that harassment cases are the fastest growing lawsuits currently in the U.S. The court ruled workers can collect damages even if the retaliation did not involve a firing or lost wages (?!)"
