Mom gets 40 years for raping her children; Dad gets FIVE life sentences!

So, the crime is the same: the parents are having sex with their children and doing it live over the web. But, mom only gets 40 years, but the dad gets 5 consecutive life sentences PLUS 96 additional years!

No bias indeed.

Another Defeat at the Supreme Court of Canada

Divorced dads lose in SCC ruling on child support

Here is the story.

Excerpt:

Canada's Supreme Court has ruled ex-spouses [READ: DADS] could face hefty retroactive child support payments if they fail to declare increased earnings -- a decision that could affect thousands of divorced and separated couples across the country.

The ruling was unanimous: 7-0. The top court decided that ex-spouses -- the fathers in most cases -- who pay support have an obligation to report increases in income which could therefore boost their court-ordered payments.

Children Are More ValuableThan Women Are More Valuable Than Men, Says UN

Not that this will come as a surprise, but in an emergency session of the UN's security council about Isreal's continuing attacks on Lebanon, there were plently of the usual anti-male comments:

"Action is needed now before many more children, women and men become casualties of a conflict over which they have no control," Annan said.

"These bombs which killed 57 children and women are American bombs," Syria's U.N. Ambassador Bashar Ja'afari said.

The real surprise was that a member of the UN said anything at all which recognized that a few men might also be injured or killed, when in fact it is primarily men who suffer and die during wars and armed conflict.

New Comment Viewing Options

Philalethes dropped us an e-mail earlier today lamenting the lack of sorting options for viewing comments on the new site. Fortunately, this was a feature I simply forgot to enable, and users can now configure how they want comments to appear. Just like the old site, the comment sorting controls appear at the top of the comments list. Set it as you'd prefer and click the "Save settings" button. Enjoy!

Verdict for Murder of Two Children by Father Shows Pro-Female Bias in Courts

Ever wonder how things would have played out if Andrea Yates was an Andrew? Wonder no more -- "A bank executive who said he had battled depression for years was sentenced Friday to life in prison for killing his 5-year-old twin daughters. David Crespi, 45, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder to spare his family the trauma of a trial and possible death penalty. He has a wife, Kim, and three surviving children. In court, Crespi apologized to his family and his late daughters, Samantha and Tessara, saying the girls "deserved to grow up" and be loved. Crespi told police that in his periods of depression, he thought of killing his children, wife and parents or running over strangers with his car, but he had always been able to stop himself.

Match.com Resorts to Shaming and Sexism

From Yahoo PR, Match.com has released a press release that's just chalk full of sexism, outdated gender roles and typical male shaming. Citing a rampant rise of "Bachelorism", it continues, "educating" readers about the symptoms of this "horrible disease" which includes: "Generally acting like a jerk, Leaving the toilet seat up and Generally unkempt appearance." Eventually winding down to suggest the cure and you guessed it, finding your soulmate on their site.

IMO, this is both negative and positive news. Negative that companies still find it acceptable to shame/slur/insult men in their advertising. Positive that is evidence that more and more men are waking up to the fraud that is marriage and the anti-male courts and proactively joining in the marriage strike.

Duke LAX Case: Nifong Admits Some Criticism Justified

Story here.
Excerpt: Nifong also said there was evidence he hoped to have in the case, such as DNA, but that it didn't pan out..."There were things we hoped to have in terms of evidence that we ended up not having," Nifong said...However, Nifong said that he stands behind the case....

"I have not backed down from my initial assessments of the case," Nifong said.

Translation: We hoped to have evidence to back up our wild, false, politically motivated, misandric claims, we didn't, but they're still guilty. I FEEL it!

A long overdue essay: Honey, you're not a victim

Anne Taylor Fleming finally takes a high-profile victim wanabee to task in
Honey, you're not a victim

Excerpts:

  • Just once, it would be great to hear a young woman stand up and say, "I take total responsibility for my part in this," instead of ducking and dodging. That would be a great service. That's the path of true women's liberation, instead of this victim pose that is just a male-bashing perversion of what it means to be liberated.
  • It would be refreshing if Bianchi could do that -- take responsibility -- and then just disappear and refuse to answer any more questions. But, of course, in a culture in which celebrity is the highest value and there is little distinction between fame and infamy, you'd better enjoy your limelight moment, even if it's a tawdry tabloid one. You want a book deal? Step right up.
  • I couldn't find Fleming's contact information, but some words of thanks and compliments are clearly in order.

Alumnus' Letter to Large University sets an Example

I nearly fell out of my chair in stunned disbelief when I saw this letter.

The U of Rochester has a large women's studies center and attracts numerous "scholars" to this place every year so they can do "research" and write their papers condemning the evil patriarchy, etc. Thus the fact that the official magazine of such a place would print not just that letter, but have it as the first one of the issue, is astounding. Kudos to the author and to the brave souls who let it go to press. I am sure they will get a good thrashing from the director of the "Susan B. Anthony Center for Women's Leadership" for it.

Ahh, another brick is knocked from the wall and a little more daylight is allowed to shine through...

Arrest Warrant Issued for N.J. Stripper Who Kept Severed Hand in Mason Jar

“Police were looking for a nude dancer who kept six human skulls and a human hand in a Mason jar in her home here after the woman failed to show up for a court arraignment on Wednesday.”

Yet another nut-case on the loose! I can’t imagine how she will link her bizarre behavior to the “oppressive patriarchy,” but, I’m sure it will enter into the picture; poor dear!

    Andrea Yates NOT GUILTY!

This is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen -- kill children and walk free. A man sits next to a young child on a plane and is immediately considered a criminal molester. I am so upset I can't express it...

UK: Men may be banned from daring to bare their chests

Chalk this one up to "criminalizing being a man." As the story states: "...But one of the things that is depressing for anyone going shopping is the numbers of shaven-headed men, mainly in their 30s and 40s, who seem to think people want to see their torsos...It is an unfortunate thing, but those men who like best to bare their stomachs are the ones who have too much stomach." I wonder when they will criminalize women who where belly shirts with their big fat bellies hanging out. Oh never because we must celebrtae femininity and the female form in all its shapes and sizes, and criminalize the masculine.

Men are More Likely Than Women to Be Victims in Dating Violence, UNH Expert Says

A 32-nation study of violence against dating partners by university partners found that about a third had been violent, and most incidents of partner violence involve violence by both the man and woman, according to Murray Straus, founder and co-director of the Family Research Laboratory at the University of New Hampshire. The second largest category was couples where the female partner was the only one to carry about physical attacks, not the male partner.

As studies, such as this, make their way into mainstream thinking, perhaps most reasonable people will start calling into question feminist myths that have yielded them much and altered social policy in destructive ways?

Excellent Essay by Erin Pizzey, U.K. DV Expert

Wendy's iFeminist site gets some props for publishing a new essay by Erin Pizzey. Just a sample of E.P.'s quotes -- "(Feminists) redefined the Marxist goalposts and declared that it was MEN (the patriarchs) not Capitalism that held power advantages over women ... and all men were now the enemy."... "It cannot therefore be assumed that men are bound to be an asset to family life." ... "Both sexes are harmed when exposed to violence and either sex can become a victim or a perpetrator."... "The feminist movement resolutely refuted any argument that women should be allowed to take responsibility for their choice of relationships. The image of women as victims, as helpless childish dependents upon brutal men worldwide has damaged relationships between the sexes."
