Woman Charged With Malicious Castration

Story here. Excerpt:

'A woman was charged with malicious castration for allegedly attacking a man during a Christmas party, police said. Rebecca Arnold Dawson, 34, is accused of grabbing the genitals of a 38-year-old man during a fight that erupted early Tuesday morning at a party hosted by the man's girlfriend. All three were heavily intoxicated, Lillington Police Chief Frank Powers said.

Dawson, who was released from jail Wednesday on $50,000 bond, also was charged with assault causing serious bodily injury, malicious conduct by a prisoner, and damage to government property for damaging a police cruiser. She also allegedly spit on an officer, Stevens said.'

YOU HAVE TO LOVE THIS: I WAS JAILED FOR FOUR DAYS AND A $200,000 BOND FOR A FALSE RAPE ACCUSATION. BUT I GUESS WE SHOULD BE HAPPY THIS DIDN'T TAKE PLACE IN THE UK, AS SHE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN OFF BECAUSE SHE WAS DRUNK AND WAS UNABLE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CRIME...

Nifong Faces Formal Bar Ethics Complaint

Well, well, well, chickens finally home to roost in an official way for ol' Mikey. Guess he figured this case would be an easy way to win hearts and minds, get an easy sweep back into office, and maybe, who knows, on to bigger and better!

Guess he was wrong.

Story here. Excerpt:

'RALEIGH, North Carolina (CNN) -- The prosecutor in the Duke University lacrosse rape case violated ethics standards in statements to the media about the case, North Carolina's bar complained Thursday.

...

A 17-page complaint to the bar's Disciplinary Hearing Commission accuses Durham County District Attorney Michael Nifong of telling reporters that the Duke players were refusing to cooperate with the investigation and that the players were refusing to make statements to local law enforcement authorities. It also says he improperly commented on tests involved in the investigation.'

It's Rape if the Woman is Drunk

UK: Men face being charged with rape if they have sex with women who are drunk.

The proposal, contained in a Home Office report, is being considered by ministers in a bid to boost conviction rates for sex offences and bring more “date rapists” to justice.

The new law would mean a woman judged to be drunk at the time of having sex would be deemed incapable of giving her consent. That would potentially open the way for the prosecution of thousands of men for having sex with drunk women — regardless of whether agreement had been given at the time.

Time to emigrate, guys.

RADAR ALERT: 2006: It was an Amazing Year!

In 2006, RADAR greatly expanded its activities over the previous year, continuing to monitor for media bias and promoting advocacy efforts from the local level all the way to the United Nations. RADAR also maintained an active presence in the U.S House of Representatives and Senate.

During the year, RADAR issued 44 Alerts, 15 press releases, 8 Special Reports, and organized 3 major campaigns. In the process, an estimated 20 million learned the truth of domestic violence and how the Violence Against Women Act violates civil liberties.

RADAR also spearheaded a national consortium of concerned groups, the VAWA Reform Coalition, which grew to 62 affiliates by year end.

Passage of the Violence Against Women Act

On January 5, President Bush signed into law the 2005 Violence Against Women Act. The law contained the following non-exclusionary wording in Section 40002(b)(8):

"Nothing in this title shall be construed to prohibit male victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking from receiving benefits and services under this title."

Media Ban in Campione Case

The wording in this article is very vague -- probably because of the media ban that has been put into effect.

Was Elaine Campione charged with murdering another one of her children before the two more recent murders that landed her in jail? Excerpt:

'A woman charged with murdering her newborn baby has regained the right to spend time with the child's surviving twin.

"The baby's father is devastated," the man's Toronto lawyer, Irving Solnik, said yesterday.'

Duke Lacrosse Players seek federal intervention

Lawyers for the three railroaded Duke Lacrosse Players have sought federal intervention from the U.S. Attorney General. They have clearly demonstrated that their civil rights have been violated and that a higher branch of government must step in to protect it's citizens from out an of control local government. I can't help but wonder if this is history in the making? Perhaps we as MRAs will look back on these events as the beginning of our own revolution which has been so long in the making?

Apply to Do a Workshop at N.O.W. National '07!

Link here:

NOW invites all NOW members and INTERESTED PERSONS to submit a workshop proposal for the 2007 National Conference. We will be gathering in Dearborn, Michigan at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, July 13-15, 2007.

Proposals will be reviewed and accepted if they are timely, inclusive and directly related to NOW's feminist issues...

Panelists and topics should reflect DIVERSE populations and perspectives and each workshop should incorporate the following components if possible:

A. The nuts and bolts of the issue/topic from a FEMINIST perspective - with a focus on current policy discussions or skill building."

---

Interesting that the instructions state a need to reflect
“diversity" ... from a "feminist perspective”!

Anybody want to propose a workshop on “Why N.O.W. Is Then?”

As in O-V-E-R? (The average age of a N.O.W. member is a big secret, because they have almost ZERO members under age 50!)

Susan Estrich pretends only men rape men

This op-ed purports to defend male rape victims, but Susan Estrich's feminist bias eventually emerges when she says things like, "boys need to be taught that it isn't their fault if a man rapes you," and also where she suggests that men's reluctance to report rape stems from "male ego."

Estrich also doesn't call it "female ego" when women are reluctant to report rape. Somehow that's only when it's a male. And she completely ignores female perpetrators, of course. She is certainly familiar with all the statutory rape being committed by female teachers. And women do forcefully rape men, especially physically or mentally disabled men, young boys, etc. One such case was just posted on this site, in which two Kuwaiti women were sentenced to 7 years in jail for kidnapping, beating and forcefully raping a man.

Godfather of Soul Gets Last Laugh

James Brown must be doing a soulful dance in heaven knowing that his bitch-wife #4 (who 911-d him with DV allegations) is learning how to sing the lyrics of his first hit song -- "Please, please, please!"

Article excerpt: "James Brown’s widow said Monday she was denied access to the home she shared with the singer and their 5-year-old son, claiming the gate was padlocked at the request of Brown’s lawyer and accountant. Tomi Rae Brown, 36, who was one of James Brown’s backup singers, said she was at a retreat when her 73-year-old husband died shortly after he was hospitalized in Atlanta. “The last thing he said to me was, ‘I love you baby and I’ll see you soon,”’ she told The Augusta Chronicle."

California Attorney General's wife takes over as head of "Family Justice Center"

Nadia Lockyer, the wife of outgoing California Attorney General Bill Lockyer, has just taken over as Executive Director of the Alameda County Family Justice Center in Oakland California. Please take a look at this brochure (.pdf file).

For those of you who do not know, the "Family Justice" centers are one stop shopping for people who allege domestic violence. But though by law they have to be gender neutral, they are being funded by grants from the US Department of Justice "Office on Violence Against Women" -- the OVW.

At the centers, women who claim to have been abused get free legal help, not just counseling with prosecutors, but child custody, divorce, and even immigration lawyers. Under a special loophole in the immigration laws, if a woman comes here on a marriage visa, and breaks up with her husband quickly, but alleges domestic violence, she can apply for a special visa and gain permanent entry to the United States.
