Man claims "Feminism Brings Benefits to All -- Men Included"

Here's the link: Feminism Brings Benefits to All -- Men Included. (Originally published here.)

As unbelievable as this claim is, be sure to think before letting this honorary woman have a taste of the many 'benefits' - preferably there at AlterNet where lots of feminists can see `em. :>

Miami TV news anchorman seeks alimony from wife

Story here.

Excerpt:
"Whether it's fragile male ego or the continuing disparity in incomes between men and women -- in the absence of any studies, lawyers are left to theorize -- men don't go after the money the law says they can have.

''A lot of lawyers feel uncomfortable even asking for alimony, even if [the men] are entitled, because it's a very tough row to hoe,'' said prominent divorce attorney Andrew Leinoff. ``They know a lot of judges raise their eyebrows at it.''

However, as women increasingly outpace their husbands in earnings -- the percentage of women who earned more jumped from nearly 18 percent in 1987 to more than 25 percent in 2004 -- the number of men receiving alimony will surely rise, some say.

''When you look at the stats of where people make money, it's in small businesses, and most small businesses are owned by women,'' said forensic accountant Loretta Fabricant, who currently has two cases in which the husbands are seeking alimony. She says she once helped a West Palm Beach husband win $10,000 a month in support."

Erin Prizzy: How feminists tried to destroy the family

Excellent article by Erin Pizzey, founder of the first battered wives' refuge, on how militant feminists - with the collusion of Labour's leading women - hijacked her cause and used it to try to demonise all men. Excerpt:

"My fascination with this new movement lasted only a few months. At the huge "collectives", I heard shrill women preaching hatred of the family. They said the family was not a safe place for women and children. I was horrified at their virulence and violent tendencies. I stood on the same platforms trying to reason with the leading lights of this new organisation."

Principal Arrested for Blocking Student Alcohol Probe

People used to get nervous when they saw male cheerleading squad coaches around all those girls. Maybe they should get nervous seeing female coaches (and principals) around them instead! Story here. Excerpt:

"Blackwell, 59, was arrested Monday and charged with obstruction of justice. She was released from jail Monday evening on her own recognizance, Frederick said.

Deputies believe Blackwell knew the coach was giving alcohol to students but did not report the information to authorities, Frederick said."

Points up a fact: anyone regardless of gender can do "the wrong thing". The classic feminist argument that with women in positions of greater trust in society, particularly vis-a-vis education and legal matters, there would be less misuse or abuse of power. It should be abundantly clear by now that such is not the case, yet this idea persists in popular consciousness.

Florida School Experiments With Single-sex Classes

Notice in this article, that the woman reporter favors girls over boys in her listing of 5 strengths of each sex in the classroom (near bottom of article). Overall though, it seems to be positive news for boys, at least for now. But it is briefly mentioned that the improvements noticed, may be due to factors other than single-sexness, such as improved teacher motivation for the experiment.

RADAR ALERT: Tell Sen. Biden, "Fix VAWA, Not I-VAWA"

It wasn't enough for Senator Joe Biden to destabilize American families with the passage of the Violence Against Women Act, an onerous law that has proven to be a disaster for fragile families, and, by its very title, is a venomous indictment of men.

Now Senator Biden wants to export VAWA to the rest of the world. This male-bashing law would be called the International Violence Against Women Act, or "I-VAWA." To learn more why I-VAWA would be a disaster, see this article.

But if we act now, we can convince him to drop this risky idea.

TODAY, please call/fax/write Senator Biden and politely ask him to:

"FIX VAWA, NOT I-VAWA"

Senator Biden needs to understand that VAWA is hurting families, men, and children. Before we even think about I-VAWA, we first need to fix VAWA – it shouldn't just be about violence against women. The problems with VAWA are extensively documented in RADAR's Special Reports, which can be viewed at: http://www.mediaradar.org/.

Cathy Young: A fruitful 6 years for this 'dissident feminist'

Story here.

Excerpt:
"While feminists have called for more male involvement in child-rearing, the women's movement has also championed blatant favoritism toward mothers in child custody disputes, often to the point of vilifying fathers. This seems to be a clear case of putting solidarity with women over equity. While the fathers' rights movement has often been depicted as a patriarchal backlash, it is in many ways more faithful to the true feminist legacy than are the women's groups which endorse maternal chauvinism.

I am very proud of the support I have been able to give to equality for fathers, and particularly of my work in exposing the inaccuracies and bias in the 2005 PBS documentary "Breaking the Silence: The Children's Stories," which painted fathers who seek custody of their children as presumptive abusers.

Obama has a message for fathers

Story here. Excerpt:

"Without complaining, Obama relays that "as I got older I came to recognize how hard it had been for my mother and grandmother to raise us without a strong male presence in the house. I felt as well the mark that a father's absence can leave on a child. I determined that my father's irresponsibility toward his children, my stepfather's remoteness, and my grandfather's failures would all become object lessons for me, and that my own children would have a father they can count on.""

On one hand, Obama is spreading negative stereotypes about men. On the other, he's putting fatherlessness into the spotlight and on the American political agenda. Discussing the negative impact that fatherlessness has on women and children is, no doubt, the most politically palatable twist.

Attempted False Accusations Against Police Thwarted by Camera

As many MRA's already know, many women do make false accusations to punish men they feel wronged by or if it simply benefits them. In this clip of a show from MSNBC, covers two incidents where police officers were falsely accused of sexual assault by women and the only thing between them and some serious jail time was a surveillance camera installed in their cruiser which records them during their stops. Please save this clip and share it with as many people as you can! Whenever a feminist/woman-firster claim women aren't capable of this, show them this clip (10.8 MB .wmv file)!

--

Ed. note: Yes, a large file, and rapidshare makes you wait a minute to get the download. Still, it is worth it to get and see this clip. It is definitely a keeper.

Hillary Clinton Running for '08 Demo Nomination

It's official-- no surprise though. Hillary is in for '08! Excerpt:

"Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton has taken the first step towards running for the US presidency in 2008.

Sen Clinton, 59, wife of former president Bill, announced her move on her website, saying 'I'm in to win'.

The former First Lady has set up a presidential exploratory committee, testing the waters for a full bid."

When a dedicated gender-feminist wants to be president of the US and actually stands a chance of getting there, MRAs need to be really attentive. Keep a close eye on what she says about things near and dear to MRAs in the months to come, and contrast them to what she has said in the past.

"The gender gap in violence is declining"

Found this interesting article on MSNBC, no doubt spawned by all the media attention in recent days to the teen girl fight video.

Though the article's authors are at times confused about where this violence could be coming from (for eample citing increasingly violent and misogynistic messages in the mass media) they do at least pay some lip service to the importance of a stable early family life. Excerpt:

“The initial causes of violence are found in the early learning experiences in the family, which includes weak family bonding, and ineffective monitoring and supervision,”

Glad the media is finally taking notice of this. It's only a matter of time until researchers start taking a closer look at the early family situations for these violent female offenders. Could there be a correlation with the much touted single-parent/single-mother family? Nahhh - that would be a threat to the brave new feminist world order. This must be pinned on men somehow in the same way DV already is.

Study Report on Misuse of Dowry Law by Indian Women

Truth About IPc 498A

This is a Report based on 5 years Research and Study on dowry Prohibition act, its use and misuse. This Reasearch conducted by our own Experts of MyNation for Save Indian society, and not funded by any gender biased organisations. We studied 1500 Plus Families, these are feed backs from them and from the reports published by media.

What is IPC-498a?

Cognizable – The accused can be arrested and jailed without warrant or investigation
Non-Bailable – The accused must appear in the court to request bail
Non-Compoundable – The complaint cannot be withdrawn by the petitioner

The accused are guilty with women one word, and the burden is on the accused to prove innocence in the courts.

When an FIR under IPC section 498A (498a) is registered, the accused are automatically arrested and jailed without investigation. The Supreme Court of India has ruled several times that arrest should be an exception, and not a compulsory. Why is there no penalty for disobeying the Supreme Court’s orders? Is it not mental cruelty to subject a person to arrest without investigation or reasonable cause?

"Duke Faculty" Posts Open Letter

Seems the faculty at Duke who rushed to condemn the LAX players felt it necessary to post a follow-up letter about it all. Does it include an apology? No. Does it include an acknowledgment of their own racism, classism, and/or misandry? Forget about it. The letter is at http://www.concerneddukefaculty.org/. However, the site is, as you can imagine, getting hit really hard as of this posting. I only just was able to load the page after several attempts. So, I am including it in its entirely under the "read more" section.
