"The Men's Experiences with Partner Aggression Project" is a research study at Clark University in collaboration with the Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men and Women (DAHMW). This study is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.
The goal of the study is to better understand the experiences of men who are in relationships with women who use violence. Extensive research has shown that men are at risk for sustaining partner violence in their relationships, yet few studies have investigated their experiences, and there are few resources available to such men. By conducting this research project, we hope to provide much needed information on these men, their relationships, and their needs.

The New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Men has just released its second biennial report: The Status of Men in New Hampshire. This report summarizes the work of the Commission during the past two years and serves as a guide to policymakers on some of the most pressing problems facing men today.
The report covers topics including the education of boys, NH college enrollment statistics, the status of fathers, parental alienation syndrome, birth certificate laws, family law, prostate cancer, and domestic violence. It includes summaries of testimony heard from NH state agency representatives, education experts, family violence researchers, and psychologists.
The Commission hopes that the distribution of this report will be used to raise awareness about the problems facing men and their families, and inspire productive efforts to correct these injustices.

"Very little in known about the actual number of men who are in a domestic relationship in which they are abused or treated violently by women. In 100 domestic violence situations approximately 40 cases involve violence by women against men. An estimated 400,000 women per year are abused or treated violently in the United States by their spouse or intimate partner. This means that roughly 300,000 to 400,000 men are treated violently by their wife or girl friend."

Many of us watched the Superbowl ads, and many of us noticed two companies which really stood out because they allowed misandry to rear its ugly head in their advertisements. The companies are Pepsi and Budweiser.
In the offending Pepsi commercial, Justin Timberlake is rammed crotch first into a mailbox post not once, but three times. Although the manner in which this type of violence is performed is unrealistic, it still is violence, and advertisements should not try to pass this off as entertainment or comedy. Sadly, this is like Sesame Street compared to how bad the Budweiser ad is.
In the Budweiser ad, or more specifically, the Bud Light ad, a man gets his dog to fetch him a bottle of another man's Bud Light, then asks the other man what his dog can do. The other man then instructs his dog to bite the first man in the testicles as revenge for trying to take the Bud Light. I wrote Budweiser regarding this. My letter read:

"In the minds of women with nothing left to protest, true betrayal is supporting a man when a woman is running. How dare he. It's all rather ... frock-ish. Perhaps precious? In 21st century America, feminist outrage has morphed into feminine pique.
...
But such thinking reveals an ugly truth about feminists and identity groups in general. They don't want what's best for the country; they want what's best for them. NOW wants a woman not because she's the best candidate, but because, by damn, it's their turn."

"Domestic violence advocates are outraged by President Bushs Budget Request for Fiscal Year 2009, saying the measure deals a devastating blow to women and children. The Budget Request released yesterday proposes cutting $120 million from life-saving domestic violence services created by the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
We are appalled to see the President proposing such devastating cuts to vital programs that save American lives, said Sue Else, President of the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). VAWA has been proven to save millions of lives and over $15 billion in health care, law enforcement, other social costs. It is fiscally irresponsible to propose such cuts and it turns a blind eye to the most vulnerable citizens of our country."

"Whatever the individual reasons that drive people to suicide, the one thing that puts you most at risk is being a man under the age of 35.
Of the 13 people who killed themselves in South Wales over the past year, all but one were men aged under 27."

"What does it mean to be a man in the 21st century?
If you'd asked a man living in the mid-20th century - someone like my dad for instance - he would have breezily given you a quick answer.
...
But according to a recent survey, today's young men don't share their forebears' sense of entitlement.
Indeed, 52 per cent of them believe they have to live by women's rules, and a staggering 82 per cent feel they have lost their traditional male role in society.
For most of them, this means feeling undervalued, their voices and opinions unheard.
This is an astonishing reversal, and one that we can no longer ignore, underscored as it is by several facts. For example, for the first time in history a majority of American women are not living with a spouse."

In this modern day and age, you always hear women complaining about how they're objectified in advertisements, TV shows, movies, and music videos (namely hip hop). I find this interesting, as they seem to look the other way when it comes to men being objectified. And, quite appropriately, the music genre that is usually guilty of this is the complete opposite of hip hop. That is, country. As Carrie Underwood showed us, country is frequently used as an outlet for women to complain about men, but of course with fictitious complaints or general complaints which are never backed up with facts. Now, Sara Evans has a new video in which she orders men, which arrive at her house in a parcel, to do house work. Could u imagine if a man made a video where he orders women to come to his house as objects in a parcel to do chores for him? But then again, what do you expect from the same artist that gave us the ever horrid "Guys Do It All The Time" song and video? If you would like to view the video I'm talking about, click here.

"EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The estranged wife of Los Angeles Dodgers coach Don Mattingly was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after police say she refused to leave his property in Indiana.
Police arrested 45-year-old Kim Mattingly after they were called to the home of the former Yankee first baseman to investigate reports of a person refusing to leave on Saturday, a probable cause affidavit said. The affidavit, signed by a Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Deputy Chad Howard, said she smelled of alcohol and screamed at officers.
The couple filed for divorce in November on the grounds of irreconcilable differences. The divorce has not been finalized, and no further action has been taken.
Kim Mattingly was released from the Vanderburgh County Jail after posting $50 bond shortly after her arrest and made her first court appearance Monday on the charges. She is scheduled to appear next on March 3."

From Glenn Sacks: Hillary Clinton’s Youth Opportunity Agenda Will Help Low-Income Fathers
Excerpt:
"The Urban League’s 2006 report on the state of black America concluded that the child support system and its abuses are a major problem for African-American men. The report found that the system represents a large, hidden “tax” on the already meager earnings of many black men."
Ax's Take: As with any campaign promise, it remains to be seen if she will follow through on it should she win. She might just be trying to steal some of the black vote from Obama, since he has stolen women voters from her.

They "deplored" the "sexist attacks against Senator Clinton that have circulated in the media." But, they stated, they nevertheless supported Obama because his election "would be another historic achievement" and because "his support for gender equality has been unwavering."'

'James Rodesiler carries outdated photographs of the daughter he lost.
The girl is alive and evidently doing well in Coldwater. But Rodesiler, an Addison resident who is postmaster of Hanover, was cut from her life when the baby was 2 months old. She is 3 years old now.
He learned the hard way that he has no legal rights as a parent because the girl's mother was married to another man when the baby was born.
"The fact that you've got a DNA test, the fact you've held your daughter in your arms, that fact you want to take care of her doesn't matter," Rodesiler said. "The state recognizes the marriage certificate."'
Michigan law always presumes a husband is father of his wife's children, regardless of biological facts."
