Casey Anthony Offered Conditional Immunity

Story here. Excerpt:

'Results taken from air samples reveal that a body was decomposing in the trunk of a car driven by the mother of missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony, a local TV station reported.
...
Anthony has been offered a conditional immunity deal by authorities if she helps with the search, MYFOXOrlando.com reported, but she only has until Thursday to accept the deal, which is contingent upon concrete information that leads to the discovery of Caylee or her remains.'

------
2:55 PM Update: Looks like the bounty hunter who had posted her bail is relenting. The price of nymphotropism indeed... that, and a dead little girl coupled with an absence of justice makes for yet another textbook case of it.

Man faces up to 50 years in prison for impregnanting girl

A man accepts "plea bargain" from prosecutor, pleads no contest to first degree sexual assault. He faces up to 50 years in prison when sentenced in October. (No, he won't get to plead guilty to just child abuse like some female suspects are able to.) Excerpt:

'A Fremont man accused of impregnating a 15-year-old has pleaded no contest to one count of first-degree sexual assault.
...
Bowers' sentencing in Dodge County District Court is scheduled for October 6. He faces up to 50 years in prison.'

DNC Convention Speech: Hillary Lies Twice in One Sentence

Hillary Clinton was able to include two lies in one sentence Tuesday night as she criticised John McCain in her speech to the Democratic National Convention. She said, "And in 2008, he still thinks it’s okay when women don’t earn equal pay for equal work."

Lie number one is that John McCain believes that it is OK that women don't earn the same as men do for the same work. McCain may not support affirmative action programs that give women an advantage in education and employment, but I really doubt that he supports pay discrimination against women.

Lie number two is her assumption that in 2008, men actually do earn more than women for equal work. Her lie is based on a study that shows that working women, on average, take home less money than working men. Factors, such as seniority, education, and the difficulty or the scarcity of workers, are not considered in the study. Careful analysis of the study has shown that there is really no wage discrimination against women when all these factors are considered.

Ditto: Woman Accused Of Teen Sex Sentenced On Lesser Charge

Again, we see that prosecutors readily offer bargain deals to women who sexually assault boys, but throw the book at men who do the same to girls. Sexual Assault is bargained down to child abuse in this article...no comment on what the sentence will be. You would think that someone who had to be extradited from one state to another would receive a fair sentence.

Someone please post any article...any article...on a man who received the same type of deal!! Excerpt:

'BATTLE CREEK, Neb. -- A woman accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy will be sentenced for a lesser charge in October.

Tammy Walnofer was originally charged with first-degree sexual assault for an incident from 2005.

Last week, she pleaded no contest to felony child abuse.'

Feminism Past and Present

A recent lecture on the history of feminism and the suffragist movement, delivered by Camille Paglia. A relatively more objective (and less fawning) account that should make an interesting and informative read for MRAs. Excerpt:

'My final recommendation for reform is a massive rollback of the paternalistic system of grievance committees and other meddlesome bureaucratic contrivances which have turned American college campuses into womblike customer-service resorts. The feminists of my baby-boom generation fought to tear down the intrusive in loco parentis rules that insultingly confined women in their dormitories at night. College administrators and academic committees have no competence whatever to investigate crimes, including sexual assault. If an offense has been committed, it should be reported to the police, so that the civil liberties of both the accuser and the accused can be protected.'

"She's happily married, dreaming of divorce"

Seems like CNN is going more and more the NYT route these days. A content-pull from "the Big O"'s articles is a dead giveaway, in my book. Read this piece of loveliness here. Excerpt:

'Nor is Will the Very Bad Man that I've made him out to be. Rather, like every other male I know, he is merely a Moderately Bad Man, the kind of man who will leave his longboat-sized shoes directly in the flow of our home's traffic so that one day I'll trip over them, break my neck, and die, after which he'll walk home from the morgue, grief-stricken, take off his shoes with a heavy heart, and leave them in the center of the room until they kill the housekeeper. Everyman.
...
No. Your husband is not your best friend. Your best friend is your best friend. If your husband were your best friend, what would that make your best friend -- the dog? When a woman tells me that her husband is her best friend, what I hear is: I don't really have any friends.'

So, she dreams of divorce. I suggest to her husband that he actually go get one.

Woman wanted on two counts of murdering her infants

Story here. Excerpt:

'Two days before she was to stand trial on charges she murdered her newborn daughter, Alicia Leonor Banuelos took a bad situation and made it much worse.

The then-31-year-old resident alien from Mexico had lost custody of her eldest daughter, Lyric Garcia, in 1997, when police charged her with the first-degree murder of her other daughter — an infant they said Banuelos left to drown in a toilet after giving birth.
...
Palantine officials charged her with first-degree murder. Lyric, her toddler with Garcia, was placed in her sister's custody while Banuelos awaited trial. She had monthly supervised visits with the child as she prepared for the trial. Police said on that autumn day in 1999, she told her sister that she was taking Lyric to the mall's restroom. She never returned.'

Her FBI Profile has more details.

Man Dies After Falling on Butcher Knife While Trying to Get Kids Out of Locked Car

Story here. The first thing that came to mind when reading this story is the wife isn't closely scrutinized for her involvement. Don't get me wrong, she's innocent until proven guilty, but if it was mom who tragically 'fell' on a knife, the husband would be in severe trouble. Excerpt:

'CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man who grabbed a knife to try to get his two young children out of a locked car died when he fell on the blade, Charlotte police said.

The Charlotte Observer reported that 22-year-old Miguel Angel Rivera Lemus died Sunday afternoon at Carolinas Medical Center after being stabbed in the chest.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were investigating but said Lemus' death appears to have been an accident.

Lemus and his wife had dropped by their apartment briefly before planning an errand when they realized they had locked their children and keys in the car, authorities said.'

Files untangle tales from missing Fla. girl's mom

Story here. Even after photos emerged of this "mom" out having fun less than a day after she reported her daughter missing, the authorities still weren't quite sure it might be her. This is the same "mom" who had a bounty hunter post bail for her since he thought it just couldn't be her, no way, no how.

What do they need, a picture of her doing the kid in with a large sign reading "I am doing my kid in!" strapped across her chest? Excerpt:

'Casey Anthony tried to give her missing 3-year-old daughter up for adoption before she was born, but her mother wouldn't let her, according to legal documents that paint the 22-year-old Florida woman as a perplexed, scheming and unbalanced person who repeatedly defended obvious lies in police reports.

The 400 pages released by prosecutors this week leave little hope that Caylee Marie Anthony will be found safe. Anthony says her daughter has been missing since June 9, but she didn't report it until more than a month later. She faces charges of child neglect, obstruction and making false statements.

Another female teacher gets light sentence for sexual assault of student

Story here. A Milwaukee teacher sexually assaults a student. The prosecution "allows" her to plead guilty to fourth degree sexual assault. Her sentence will be probation, 25 days in jail on work release, and sex offender registration for 2 years. She will not be able to teach-- but only in Wisconsin. Excerpt:

"Originally charged with second degree sexual assault of a child, 27-year-old Sweet pleaded guilty to fourth degree sexual assault Tuesday. It was part of a plea deal after she admitted to sexually assaulting her 14-year-old student."

UK Readers: Please sign equal-anonymity rights petition

Petition is here. From the petition text:

"There is no plausible argument for releasing the name of the accused as this does nothing to further justice, but only serves to punish them outside of the judicial system. The only punishment for rape, should be passed down by a judge, not by newspapers, their peers, or their employers. Therefore revealing their identity is an unjust punishment without basis in english law."

Obama/Biden: Escalating the War on Fathers and Families

Article here. Excerpt:

'Tragically -- but true to the radical feminist agenda -- the Obama/Biden Democratic ticket portends an escalating war on boys, men, fathers, and families. On Father’s Day 2008, Sen. Obama could have spoken on any number of topics. His choice was to castigate African-American fathers and blame fathers, and fathers alone, for the ills of the African-American family.
...
So, what then does Sen. Biden bring to the ticket? Sen. Biden brings the divisive Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) which he originated, expanded, and vigorously supported in subsequent years. Unfortunately, substantial evidence now indicates that VAWA not only fails to protect women from domestic violence but in many cases increases their risk of harm and contains much fraud. What VAWA does best, however, is squander billions of taxpayer dollars annually to finance the war on fathers and families.'

UK: Well-known TV presenter says British TV is biased against white males

Jeremy Paxman, a pretty outspoken British TV presenter, has spoken out and said that he thinks the TV industry in the UK is biased against middle aged white men. The BBC reports it here. Excerpt:

'Paxman, 58, said: "Do I think it's a man's world in television? That is the most ridiculous question I have been asked all week.

"The worst thing you can be in this industry is a middle class white male.

"If any middle class white male I come across says he wants to enter television, I say 'give up all hope' - they've no chance."'

The journalist then named five women TV executives including BBC One controller Jay Hunt, Channel 4 head of news Dorothy Byrne and Dawn Airey, who will soon become Channel Five's chief executive.

"Is this evidence of some male conspiracy keeping women down?" he said.

Nip and Tuck in Real Life

Story here. Excerpt:

'A CELEBRITY plastic surgeon who allowed a patient to perform oral sex on him before he gave her a nose job is fighting to keep his medical licence.
...
Dr Mendelsohn, 50, admitted he did not attempt to stop a 22-year-old patient performing oral sex on him during an after-hours consultation in May 2005.
...
After the woman left the surgery, she asked her boyfriend to take her to the police, where she pressed sexual assault charges against the doctor.

The NSW Director of Public Prosecution later dropped the charges, on the basis there was no reasonable prospect of a conviction.'
