'(AP) Kelsey Peterson's maturity level wasn't much higher than the sixth-grade students she taught. The 26-year-old teacher who started having sex with a former student when he was 12 wasn't a sexual predator, but she will have to register as a sex offender when she gets out of prison.
That's the verdict of a federal judge, who on Monday sentenced Peterson to six years behind bars for fleeing to Mexico with the boy when he was 13.
U.S. District Judge Laurie Smith Camp said Peterson's maturity level "seems to be on the level of a junior high school student," and the boy's attorney agreed.'

'But new government figures can now officially put that argument to bed as they confirm that girls are better than boys.
Or, at least, they show that girls are top of the class for another year as far as exam results are concerned
...
'And, accepting the consensus that boys are just as bright as girls, it is impossible to disagree. We surely can't stand back and do nothing when half of our children are getting a raw deal. The most obvious first step seems to be experimenting with the curriculum to try to find a way of engaging boys more in their studies.
...
"But, at the end of the day, if girls are outperforming boys and there's no explanation for it, then it's a serious problem that needs to be addressed."'

'It's closing time for a lawsuit alleging ladies' nights at nightclubs discriminate against men.
...
The lawsuit was brought by attorney Roy Den Hollander, who has crusaded against feminism and recently sued a university over its women's studies program.
Hollander said ladies' nights at Manhattan nightclubs discriminate against men by offering women free or discounted admission and drinks. He tried to link the state to the discounts because it licenses the sale of alcohol at nightclubs.
He called the judge a feminist and said her dismissal of his lawsuit was consistent with the discrimination embedded in many of America's institutions.'

From the article:
'If we're not careful, jealousy and insecurity can turn moms into control freaks. So says Park, a recovering control freak herself. "With our first child, I was constantly asking my husband, 'Are you making sure he's getting his vegetables?' It feels good to make the decisions."
Trouble is, "the more we control how dads do things, the less involved they want to be," Park says. A recent Ohio State University study of almost 100 couples with newborns backs her up: Researchers found that even dads who believed they should be highly involved in childcare shied away from doing things for their infant if Mom was very judgmental.'

'Around the house, women rule. And men aren't putting up a fight about it...'
'Across all decision-making realms, it tilts to the woman,'' said Rich Morin, the study's lead author. "I was surprised by the percentage of men who made none of the decisions in any of the areas.''
''Despite the fact that in our society, we have had this notion of males as heads of households, we have seen the pattern that women tend to really be the managers."

'In an interview with ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer, Baldwin, 50, spoke about his lengthy court struggles with Basinger, 54, and said that when the voice mail was released, it brought him to the brink of suicide.
"I used to pray to God every night. I would get in bed, and I would say, please, don't let me wake up in the morning," Baldwin said. "I began to think about what little town I would repair to in order to commit suicide. And then you, obviously you say, well, what would that do to my child if I killed myself? Me, I really didn't care about me."

Anyone else notice the Fidelity ads on tv slamming the man for wanting to invest into his classic car? The woman in the ad treats his idea like he is some kind of fool. I know late 60's and early 70's cars that were bought for less than 4,000 that sell now for over 65,000. If Fidelity can offer a bigger savings pile up, I would LOVE to see it.
Men should pull there money out of Fidelity soon. They couldn't do that ad if the roles were reversed.

'An expelled schoolgirl who blamed a maths teacher for her exclusion stormed into a classroom and launched a ferocious attack on the woman, which left her in hospital.
The girl stabbed at the teacher's face with a marker pen, before punching her to the ground and kicking her until her legs bled, witnesses said.
Pupils and fellow teachers screamed at her to stop until two male members of staff managed to drag the girl away.
Police were called and the girl was arrested but she was later released with a caution.'

'They call it the Queen Bee Syndrome and the sting in it is that it punctures a great feminist myth.
For years the sisterhood has moaned that if only more women could smash through that glass ceiling, if only more women got the top jobs and if only we all had women bosses, our working environment would be a far warmer, caring, sharing place to be.
Now a university study finally proves that the opposite is true.
In fact, women who work for other women suffer more from both psychological and physical ailments - depression, insomnia and headaches among them - and are more likely to end up embroiled in workplace conflict.'
