Story here. Excerpt:

'Child welfare advocates have called for a review of the case of a Hobart woman sentenced to nine months for assaulting a four-year-old boy who died in her care.

Fiona Maree Garth pleaded guilty to assaulting Liam Osborne at her Claremont home last year.

The 38-year-old was babysitting Liam and struck him five times because he was playing up in the bath.

The Entire Assange-case from Swedish perspective

Article here. Excerpt:

'Every text has a story to tell. Here is how the Assange story goes according to the analysis we made during its events unfolding.

As many know I have written several analyses in swedish regarding the Assange-case. However us people discussing this case forgot one thing. The case really is about Mr Julian Assange and the future of Wikileaks in Sweden. Most of the people involved do not understand swedish language.
...
The first news in Expressen is the double rape suspicion and warrant in absence against founder of Wikileaks (issued Friday 17.00) by the prosecutor on call Kjellstrand. Internet is divided in two sides, the CIA-conspiracy side claiming innocence and the Feminist-male-bashing side claiming guilty. None of them have basis for their claim. Wikileaks twitter refers to being warned for dirty tricks.

South Africa: Murky dealings in circumcision KLamp tender

Story here. Excerpt:

'The decision by the KwaZulu-Natal health department to award a tender for the supply of a controversial circumcision device, the Tara KLamp, has been obscured by a cloud of mystery.

The department, the supplier, a rival supplier and the device's inventor remain tight-lipped about how and why the health department procured the device.

The Mail & Guardian reported in June that the Malaysian-made KLamp had been flagged as unsafe by independent experts in 2004, that no further randomised control trials (RCTs) on the device had since been conducted and that the device was not approved by the World Health Organisation.'

When $450 an hour isn't worth it: Divorce lawyer who has had it with all the misery retires from lucrative but draining career

Article here. Excerpt:

'Family law lawyer Sandy Morris had just helped finalize a difficult divorce when a box arrived at her Toronto office tied up with a big, gold bow. Inside was a strange gift from her elated client – a mounted fish with teeth like a shark.

"It was a barracuda," says Morris in an explosion of laughter. "I couldn't bring myself to throw it away. I'm sure he meant it in a really nice way, but I kept it in my office behind some books because I was embarrassed."
...
The barracuda's bite wasn't lost on Morris, who colleagues considered a workaholic and a "toughie" in the courtroom. She knows many people think of divorce lawyers as "sharks" more intent on racking up big billings than brokering peace. But Morris is adamant she has seen very little of that.

She-wolves in sheeps' clothing

Article here. Excerpt:

'Female child abusers are the 21st century equivalent of lesbians in the Victorian age: not legislated against because they do not exist. The nature of woman being incapable of “deviancy”, as the bigoted Victorians said. Hence in New Zealand, the Accident Compensation Corporation was unable to accept claims from boys sexually abused by women, until the law changed in 2005. Prior to that the perpetrator of “sexual indecency” had to be male.

However, statistics indicate that female child abusers not only exist, but in numbers approaching those of males. In New Zealand, 48 per cent of child abusers for 2006, where the perpetrator gender was known, were women. In the USA in 2002 63 per cent of all child abuse, from neglect to sexual abuse, was perpetrated by the mother. In 40 per cent of cases the mother acted alone.

TIME: Workplace Salaries: At Last, Women on Top

Article here. Excerpt:

'The fact that the average American working woman earns only about 8o% of what the average American working man earns has been something of a festering sore for at least half the population for several decades. And despite many programs and analyses and hand-wringing and badges and even some legislation, the figure hasn't budged much in the past five years.

"Sex Differences: Why Won't Men Commit?"

This channel was off-linked from the previously-posted story. There are a number of good pro-MRA channels on YT; this is just one of them. What stood out for me was this one entry and the link can be sent to any woman you know who is complaining about how her boyfriend "won't commit" and she doesn't understand why not. Good work!

Obama to Call for Major Infrastructure Spending

Article here. I see this as an MRA issue because the construction industry has been hit hard by the recession which has contributed to a high rate of male unemployment. The original stimulus package was hijacked by feminists because they felt putting money into male dominated professions was sexist even though those industries are suffering the most. Excerpt:

'WASHINGTON -- Vowing to find new ways to stimulate the sputtering economy, President Barack Obama will call for long-term investments in the nation's roads, railways and runways that would cost at least $50 billion.

The infrastructure investments are one part of a package of targeted proposals the White House is expected to announce in hopes of jump-starting the economy ahead of the November election. Obama will outline the infrastructure proposal Monday at a Labor Day event in Milwaukee.

While the proposal calls for investments over six years, the White House said spending would be front-loaded with an initial $50 billion to help create jobs in the near future.

UK: Police track down teenage girl filmed throwing live puppies into a river

Story here. Excerpt:

'A girl shown in a video throwing puppies into a fast-flowing river has been traced, police in Bosnia said today.

The teenager, wearing a hooded top, caused worldwide outrage when she was shown online apparently killing six newborn puppies by throwing them into the river one by one.

Police in the central Bosnian town of Bugojno said they had found the girl from leads given by animal protection groups in the country.

MailOnline knows the name of the girl involved but has decided not to publish to protect her safety.

The girl's parents will soon be questioned, police said. Under Bosnian law, people can be fined up to £4,000 for animal cruelty.

Such was the international fury it prompted Transformers movie director Michael Bay to offer a $50,000 (£32,500) reward for the prosecution of the young woman.'

"Girl Revolt"

Article here. Tons of misleading information for example: "Girls, females between the age of 13 and 19, are perhaps the most oppressed group in consumer society. As a previous generation of feminists made clear, Western culture is marked by widespread violence against women. And despite the media blackout, which continues to this day, most people know at least one female who has either developed an eating disorder or been sexually assaulted."

Sadly this was written by a man.

Zeta Game - Hypergamy Crossroads

Latest from "A Voice for Men" here. Excerpt:

'In the last part of the Zeta Game series, I covered the fundamental concept of hypergamy- the natural tendency in women to benefit from reducing men to a purely utilitarian role in their lives. I also touched on the notion that the innate programming in men to protect and provide (and thus compete for women’s attention) plays directly into the hypergamous gambit, most often resulting in men participating in their own misuse and exploitation.

In short, the way men compete for a higher rank among women is to place their blood, sweat and assets, even their own bodies, at the woman’s disposal- no matter how capricious or trivial her desires may be.

The fundamental problem with this arrangement is that hypergamy is not guided by any set of constraining ethical principles. It is, in fact, so utterly devoid of a moral compass that one of the major tools in the woman’s hypergamous repertoire is to shame men into sacrificing for them- and to quietly laugh at them as they do it.

Sacrifices Of Veterans Largely Unappreciated

In this account of a veteran with PTSD, which he suffers from thanks to his military experience, you get a sense for how difficult it can be for returning veterans. And in many cases they live with these problems (missing limbs, psychological trauma, etc.) for the rest of their lives. We owe these guys a lot for what they do and did for our country. We need to more widely discuss how they are having difficulty when they return (drugs, homelessness, etc.), and what services they need. Excerpt:
