Domestic Violence Suit against CA
posted by Matt on 12:14 AM February 22nd, 2006
Domestic Violence MR writes "Domestic violence, to quote Dear Abby, is a human problem, not a gender problem. But in California, it's defined as abuse against women.

Now, a father, daughter, and three other men are suing the state, so that shelters and services will help men too.

I love how the women's shelter grrrl says: (paraphrase)
"we have to turn away women all the time, we don't have the money for men."

What a load of crap.

Hey sweetie: Seperate but Equal was overturned. Are you receiveing federal or state funds!?

Or is it that your sexist ideology might get exposed?

Perhaps anyone that is interested could send a letter to the court district in support of this law suit. If nothing else it would generate more press on this. Exposure to light usually kills mold. To bad we don't have an address as I would write a letter. For some I am sure that is to far out of their comfort zone. Just a thought Folks....

And who's going to stand outside the courtroom holding supportive placards and chanting encouraging phrases? Oh, that'll be the feminists speaking for the other side. Yeah, keep writing those letters and emails, guys. If they ever turn the world into a giant post-office you'll win hands down.

Hmm, perhaps you would like to organize a march? Set the schedule, delegate some tasks, and get things going! I don't live in CA, but if someone were to organize something I might drive down there and take part. Would you be able to go?

A friend of the court is someone that is concerned about a particular court case. You don't have to be an attorney to send one. You can express your concerns about a certain case for consideration of the court. You would need the address of the court. If hundreds of letters were to descend on the court clerk, and the press was notified it might get some air time. No ranting, no threats, just solid opinion. If letters from around the world were to descend on the court, you Guys get the drift. We could do things like this from our homes. Anybody who reads this site from CA that can provide the info? Can you imagine how the three that are suing would feel if they actually got some support like this, it would let them know that they did not stand alone! Can you imagine the pressure that the court migh feel if this were to happen? Just my opinion Folks.........

I wrote a rebuttal to an Amicus Brief written by a "feminist scholoar" in regards to her "tut tut" attitude and wholesale ENDORSEMENT of Paternity Fraud.

Make sure it looks professional, is not a rant, and has references. It doesn't have to be long (hers was about 1 1/2 pages).

ANYONE can write one. The more knowlegable and cites it has helps. Remember NO stereotypes of feminists or rants ... that won't help.

A very credible source says friends of the court letters shouldn't be sent until it's on appeal.

To the best of my knowledge, there has as yet been no court appearance before a judge involving the parties to this suit.

I'm still working to get a little more info.

So, why do we have to wait for an appeal? Couldn't we as concerned CITIZENS express our desire to see REAL JUSTICE to the judge that is sitting on this case before he/she decides? Public pressure is public pressure, and some press seem to love this kind of stuff. Besides that, if you were the judge and received hundreds, perhaps thousands of letters perhaps you might be inclined to think about things a little more? The PEOPLE can make their own rules Folks as long as we are adamant and civil. Just a thought........

Thanks MR! With the information provided in the law suit one can get the address of the court, it would be great to get the address posted before this post goes the way of the lost. It would actually be great if the site would post the address as a new post. Anyway thank you for your effort!
