Weber said if she was in Butcher's position"

Maybe that's what she is really after, Butcher's position?

it appears that more carpenters are male than female," Weber continued.

I totaly agree with that. Women don't like carpenters work because it ruins their nail polish.

"I think we have to accept the differences between (the sexes) and appreciate them. It was just kind of a tongue-in-cheek thing," she said Saturday.

Exactly, we definitely should accept the differences between the sexes and the fact that the best women can come up with is nagging and whining.

Before somebody starts dog training me, hey, it's just kind of a tongue-in-cheek thing.

The stupid, vindictive feminist administrator (Score:0)

Your tongue doesn't belong in your cheek if you're a public official. I know bureaucrats like her: unapologetic "strong, assertive" feminist blockheads. One problem that men face, against institutionalized anti-male bias, is the kind of unnuanced, unapologetic "assertive" (read: stupidly self-centered, self-righteous unaccountable) administrators who relish the opportunity to "stick it" to the patriarchy: they're half the people doing the institutional discrimination (the other half are male, disregarding an indeterminate portion of indeterminate sex).

Now in this case, telling a bank officer that he should have been a female is fatuous and unhelpful. Kind of a slap in the face. Unnecessary. Not in Sue Weber's job description.

Of course, we've seen a spate of stupid remarks by females in public service lately: Mary Hudak and Ms Rule of FEMA called into question the commitment to firefighting of firefighters they recruited for "community relations", when the firefighters expressed their dissatisfaction with FEMA for having wasted their badly needed skills and valuable time on days of sexual harassment training and other forms of disorientation, when people were dying in Louisiana. This disparagement of the firefighters' commitment to firefighting was, of course, gratuitous, since FEMA (idiotically) recruited them for an assignment unrelated to firefighting: community relations. The kind where the firemen would say, "I could save your life, but here's a flyer instead. Have a nice day."

Unfortunately, these administrators often combine the worst possible combination of stupidity with vindictiveness; add to this the unnuanced mind of a bureaucrat who thinks of herself as a strong, assertive feminist, who never, under any circumstances, has to apologize (this goes beyond mere unaccountablity into self-righteous unaccountability), and who deeply resents the slightest criticism, however justly earned: now you have the likes of Weber, Hudak and Rule.

Exactly, men are faster, stronger, taller and heavier.

Let's appreciate that, accept it and ensure no more 5'2" female fire "fighters" are employed who might have to drag me out of a burning building but can't due to these "differences" being ignored at recruitment time when it suited women.

Let's accept that many women get PMT and should probably not drive, pilot an aeroplane, teach male children etc etc etc......during that time

As you say, these differences are only applicable and acknowledged when they're pro-female and anti-male. Any deviation from this model is non-pc and will almost certainly result in the censure/hounding/harassment of the man who dares to say it. Larry Sommers at Harvard anyone?
