Norway Convicts a Woman of Rape
posted by Matt on 07:53 PM April 28th, 2005
News Indiana Jones writes "Finally some sense have been knocked into feminist-influenced Scandivanian judges. This is a major blow for radical feminist in Norway, but not far enough. Norway proposed that 40% of ALL its corporate employees must be women by 2007, right now its 11%. So basically from now on, all they are going to hire is women? What about all the male graduates?"

Ed. note: Re the 40% comment, a story is here. The article date is Aug. 8, 2002, however. Can anyone supply an update on this issue? Also, it seems as if the law in question seeks a 40% rate of women as corporate *directors*, not employees as mentioned in the submitted text.

In 2002, the Norwegian government approved measures to increase the number of women on the executive boards of both state-owned and private companies. Within one year, the government will ensure that at least 40% of the members of the boards of state-owned enterprises are women. Private companies have until 2005 to increase their share of women on their boards to an acceptable level - ie at least 40%. If this goal is not achieved, regulations setting quotas will come into force in the private sector. If, however, satisfactorily levels of women's participation are reached, the regulations will not take effect.

Hi, i would just like to voice my opinion that i don't like the "post-comment" section of this website.

I think you should create a special "forum" or discussion board to talk about men's issues.

By posting stories after stories on the front side its hard and annoying to look at previous posts or distinguish between replied threads.

Just my opinion that you should create a special discussion board. Thanks.

This is not the place to be making suggestions to management. There's a link to the left at the bottom of the "Navigation" box that says "Admin E-Mail".

Also, there are ways built into this website to change the format of the threads and how they are reflected on your browser each time you come here. You might check out the site tutorial and User Preferences links at the same "Navigation" box.

I wouldn't start opening the champagne bottles just yet. Yes, she was convicted of rape. Yes, she got nine months. But how much time do you think a man would have gotten who performed oral sex on an unconscious female?

I think celebrating that she was charged at all is like celebrating that a gun shot was just a flesh wound. At this rate, absent feminist opposition, we can look forward to parity in the courts in a couple of decades.
