Mum's the word on dad

Fatherhood Some recent political goings-on in Australia have inspired this article, which not only mentions that 20-30% of fathers discover through DNA testing that their kids aren't theirs, but also interestingly ponders "if women were more trustworthy on the question of paternity, perhaps men could be more trusting that women undertake abortion only when strictly necessary"

Great Letter! (Score:0)

I loved reading this. It introduced alot of people to the men's rights movement in a very intelligent manner and gave them sources they can turn to, including ones they'll easily remember if they decide to look something up a year or two after reading this (i.e. type "men's rights" on the internet). No doubt this would spur a number of students to look up balanced sources in their adameic papers, etc. No matter how much we would prefer to see the walls of Jericho crumble all at once, via lawsuits etc., we should not let that stop us from printing as many letters like this in local newspaper as possible, which I think has so much more impact than we know, even if we don't actually see it. Congrats to the author of this letter.

The Men's Rights Agency argues that "we as a society need to uphold the right to seek truth and honesty" but, as a Foucauldian and as an old-fashioned miss, I'm not sure that the will to knowledge produces anything but more wielding of power. It certainly does not provide a basis for trust between men and women.

The author doesn't have enough compassion for men, in my view. This isn't really that complicated, especially compared to an issue like abortion. Not sure about knowledge, what about trust, blah blah blah. You could have had this discussion about the invention of written language or the automobile.

Men's rights NOW!
