What about positive commericals (Score:0)

I'm not sure this is a totally positive commercial, but I saw this one the other day, when Roger Reneke was a little boy. He was shown in a lawn doing extra work, and a lovely house wife was pleased and impressed with all the hard work the little man did.

I think the commercial was for an online trading company. On the one hand everyone in the commercial was smiling and positive, and the boy and ;ater the man where depicted as accomplishing work, but the boy was shown as working to please the female so that's stereotypical.

It would be nice to have a list of commercials to praise, but maybe their just aren't any that don't criticize or expoit males. It appears it's really hard for advertisers to make it through a 60 second spot without demeaning males in some fashion.

All commercials are negative. They buy your soul. Period. Spooky? :)

Warning! Somewhat off-topic!

This forum is full of eloquent discussion and people who seem to have taken good care of their minds, i.e. they have refused to become a drone or a vegetable due to medias distractions. (My native tongue is not English so please correct my language if the grammatics or the spelling is way off).
Now, what I don't understand is the "nutshell" purpose of this site. Why are people so caught up in the gender war? Men and women make babies, and babies grow up to be another generation of men and women, contributing to the best of their ability. What's the big fuss about? If we stopped labelling ourselves and others, we would all be natural men and women, not confused souls looking at sexuality as a field of options. Think of all the great deeds we could do in our community and life in general if we stopped limiting ourselves to these pointless debates.
The struggle against feminism and such distorting movements must go on, but when we gather here, grouping ourselves as men, does that mean that the opposite of men is feminism? It's a disturbing approach because men are not men just because they label themselves as such but because they ARE. Labels incorporate us to belief systems that we do not fully agree with, because labels can be undermined and twisted with interpretations which were not innately there. Homosexuality, for instance, was considered a crime not long ago (I don't know if it's a crime not to treat your disorder but OK), but today the disorder has almost equal status to the natural sexuality. As if there were at least three genders of human beings! Well well, what's it gonna become of us.

Incoherent and off-topic? Maybe, but I just had to submit my thoughts.
