In forums in Canada I keep recommending "monkeyshines"as the best form of counter attack and there are people who insist on thinking that some sort of "reasonable"response works best.....ahhh....the world would be a much different place if adversaries confined themselves to behaviour that could easily be ignored.

Sorry that it came down to this, but the man got the job done.
Meanwhile, note how the BBC article is mainly about security, not about the just grievances of fathers. They try harder to understand terrorists than fathers.

BBC Online have deigned to report John Brown's hunger strike. Since they report it as "over money" it doesn't count in any way. It doesn't matter if he's destitute. It doesn't matter if a gross injustice has been perpetrated. It doesn't matter how devastated he is. It doesn't matter if he might die. For the BBC it's just a father trying not to pay Child Support...
From BBC Father's hunger strike over money
A Fathers 4 Justice campaigner is threatening to step up a hunger strike if the Child Support Agency does not back down in a row over back payments.
John Brown, of Newbury, Berkshire, says he has survived on just two glasses of wine and soya milk for eight weeks in protest at a demand for £22,000.
He is to begin a water-only fast if officials do not back down at a meeting organised by his MP David Rendel.
The 56-year-old has not seen his 17-year-old daughter for four years.
Mr Brown, a former advertising photographer, split from his partner in 1996.
But he says the CSA has massively overestimated his income with its demand for seven years' of child support payments.
Mr Brown told BBC News Online: "I haven't been able to work at all because of what is going on.
"The fight with the CSA has left me utterly destroyed, because it is almost impossible to pick up the strings of a formerly successful career.
"I want my hunger strike to send out the message that the judicial system surrounding children is destructive rather than constructive."
Mike Ellis, a local Fathers 4 Justice organiser, told BBC News Online: "While we don't encourage drastic acts, we can't let one of our members down by ignoring them in a difficult situation."
Mr Ellis was accompanying Mr Brown to the meeting, organised by Newbury MP David Rendel at his constituency office on Friday at 1400 BST.
On Monday Fathers 4 Justice campaigner Jason Hatch scaled the balcony at Buckingham Palace, dressed as Batman.
Mr Hatch, from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, was arrested with a fellow member and must answer bail in December.
A spokeswoman from the CSA said: "I am afraid I cannot comment on individual cases."

On Los Angeles T.V. news they showed Batman on a ledge of the palace next to a balconey. I was able to read his sign enough to know it was F4J. One the one hand I'm a very active protestor for men's rights myself, but on the other I try very, very hard not to violate any laws. I'll not judge this man's protest, since I know he's been robbed of his children by evil radical/gender feminist's who've influenced government to create corrupt custody and child support laws.
I wish everyone the best and hope everyone stays well. One of these days the crooks who run the government are going to have to take a good hard look at the ways they cheat decent men and discriminate against them.

I am not kidding - some anti-anti-fox-hunting protesters recently stormed Parliament and disrupted a vote to ban the use of dogs in fox hunts. The vote happened later and the ban passed nonetheless.
But the particulars aside, whether it's fox hunting or men's issues, does anyone else here think that GB is on the verge of revolution? I mean, it would fit the trend of GB history. They are due for another revolution.

Just my personal opinion, but the last time I saw this level of societal unrest was during the Vietnam war. It appears to me that people (society) has a very high level of anxiety these days so people are more outspoken and unruly in general. Some of that I'm sure is due to all the war and uncertainty we are facing in the world these days.
On the one hand it may have motivated some men's and Father's rights activists to be more outspoken, but on the other hand they may be getting their message lost in the overall increase in civil dissent.
There is a book that NCFM highly recommends called "Men Freeing Men." Women have been getting all kinds of support for their causes for decades. If the one thing that could come out of all the turmoil is to see an increase in people helping men to have their rights, then all this will not have been in vain. I suspect just getting our issues "out in the public arena," and more clarified is also a good thing that will help future activism.

When I came out of my long coma to re-join this movement...I spat defyance in the face of the enemy and challanged them to kill me. I actually sat on my porch for weeks with a weapon in my hand and waited for them to come and kill me.....they never came....there is nothing to be afraid of.
THIS MAN.....THIS BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN OF MANHOOD....ACTUALLY HAD THE BALLS TO STAND ON THE QUEEN'S BALCONY AND DEFY HER CHAMPIONS TO KILL HIM....he wants to see his children THAT badly!!!! Anyone who could possiby ignore or trivialize this outcry had better not give me any sort of sanctimonious speach about compassion or noble cause.
I am inspired!!!!....I felt soooo ....alone.
