Activist opportunity for Virgina residents
posted by Matt on 02:08 PM September 13th, 2004
Inequality All, Those who live in Virginia, especially those whose House rep. is Jim Moran, will be interested to know Mr. Moran is sponsoring a women's issues conference for Sept. 18, 2004. Info found here. Please contact Mr. Moran's office by using his site feedback form here asking for equal time for men.

Please click "Read More" to see the note I sent him.

Dear Mr. Moran:

I got your e-mail re the women's issues conference. While it is a good and noble effort it is alas duplicated all over the country. While surely it is useful to have a women's issues conference, it has as they say been done before, is being done now, done often, and likely to continue to be done.

What our society lacks at this point is public men's issues conferences. It would be wonderful if your office would consider sponsoring one. Please see:

for more re what are men's issues of today.

Your constituent,

Matt Campbell

You can look up your rep to be sure at:

Also be advised that even if you are not a VA resident or in Mr. Moran's district, hey, dropping him a note can't hurt the cause. ;)

I'll write and send it by regular mail. They're more likely to read that.
